Casey is amazing! The process was so easy and she answers any questions very promptly. I opted to have 2 tree of life prints done and they turned out great! I'm not too sure how much the placenta capsules aided in my recovery since this was my first pregnancy/birth so I had nothing to compare it to, but I really enjoyed this experience and being able to replenish my body's nutrients with my own placenta! And the umbilical cord keepsake was so so cute! Complete with a super sweet open on the inside of the box it came in that made me cry it was so touching and emotional. Casey also provided a step by step of the process with pictures via text message to keep me updated plus she posted a video on her Facebook page. I would definitely do this again for my second child. -side note: I also got the placenta salves and a raw and traditional tincture. I tried the salve and I just couldn't handle the smell from the natural herbs...I put it on my stomach post birth and the smell was reminding me of cigarettes for some reason so it grossed me out and I couldn't bring myself to use it again (it may have just been me though- others may not have an issue with the smell). Highly recommend using Midwest Placenta for your placenta encapsulation! Casey is amazing! The whole process was so easy to do with her. She is very informative and communicating with her was so easy. Pick up/drop off was a breeze. Also, the benefits from the placenta capsules are great. I had to wait a week or so after giving birth to start taking the placenta pills due to postpartum preeclampsia and an extended hospital stay. Once I started taking the placenta pills, I felt way more balanced and had decreased anxieties. I planned on encapsulating my placenta but due to an infection of my placenta it wasn't safe to consume it. Casey still made some keepsakes for me and i'm so appreciative. I loved having my placenta encapsulated both times. The pills we're a little hard to remember to take at first, but once I saw the benefits from it... I remembered! I never had a baby without doing encapsulation, but I feel like if I did I would have gotten PPD, because on days when I forgot to take my capsules, I could tell my moods we definitely lower.
