My review is t about their service, but about following traffic laws. Driver made an illegal U turn in front of my vehicle. He was not making g the turn to get to a vehicle across the highway as he drove a mile after the turn. I didn't honk and I slowed down so he could complete the turn, but the driver chose to flip me off for some reason. I would have let the illegal turn go if he hadn't chosen to flip me off. read more

Woke-up to find one of our rear tires was flat. We had been having issues with both of our rear tires since we drove thru the war-torn streets of South Chicago (thanks Waze! -_-) and this was not a huge surprise. So Carissa used her USAA app to get us roadside assistance and less than 30min later Nathan showed up. He gave us a bit of air so that we could make it down to the tire shop to get a patch. He was very friendly, efficient and seemed to be good at his job. Also he had matching slime lime shirt and sneakers that were pretty cool. read more

This company was super helpful the woman I talked to on the phone was great helped me get a truck to where I was when I was stuck on the interstate with a flat tire. She even talked to the driver to see if he'd take me to my hotel after we drop the car off. I was so thankful because the roadside assistance from my insurance found a tow truck, but it was going to take 2 hours for me to get out of there. Hands down some of the best service I've had! Had been sitting in a parking lot with a dead car for a few hours, just ready for a tow truck to come take my car to the dealer. Midwest Tow came and the two men who came were amazing. They first checked everything under the hood to make sure they found the exact problem. Tested the battery and alternator. Found out I just needed a new battery. They then suggested to go to auto zone and buy a new battery there and have them swap it instead of going to the dealer, waiting a few days to be seen, and then getting it fixed. So the gentlemen drove over to auto zone with my car, and me following behind. Then they went inside with me and made sure I got the correct battery and was all set to go. They helped me through every process, and helped me save a ton of money! They truly have amazing customer service!!! read more

Good response to call and on time company. Tower arrived and proceeded to back out my car and swiped my mirror off and completely destroyed it. It is a manual car and he claimed to be pressing the clutch instead of the break, which makes 0 sense because if you use your left foot to break, you shouldn't be allowed to drive, and if your right foot went all the way over to the clutch you again should not have a license. The whole experience felt rushed and made my life harder, now I am faced with this inconvenience and they still charged me for the tow, and they want to save themselves money by fixing it themselves. Would NOT recommend if you are looking for a morally induced company that knows when to do the right thing. read more

The guys that came out to tow my car were #1 on time, #2 very professional and polite, #3 careful with my car as to not damage it. The air shocks were deflated and Dalton made sure that my car did not drag or scrape in the front or back when putting it on the flatbed. I had a very bad experience with the guy of this company whom I called to tow my vehicle at Lincoln, NE after an accident. When I called them the lady on the phone ensured me that the total cost will be $80.44. She took all the details e.g. accident location, destination, car type, accident type before providing this amount. However, after arriving, the towing guy informed me that I have to pay ~$128 instead of $80.44. When I asked the reason he explained that the car is on top of the grass and therefore he needs extra effort to tow it. I was super surprised. It seemed like my car is on top of the "Willis Tower" and therefore he needs extra effort to take it inside the towing truck! Then I pushed the car from there to the parking lot with the help of my friend and the guy was sitting inside his car and looked at our efforts stolidly. After I placed it in the parking he towed it with his truck. I have no idea how he asked 50+% extra for the service that we did by just a small push of a couple of yards! Is this a joke? The towing guy also was not efficient enough to place my car properly in my parking lot. I had to push one more time with him to place it at the proper spot. I think companies like Midwest Towing & Recovery are out of all credibilities. People call them when they are in an emergency and their personals try to get as much as possible from the customer due to the helplessness. Hope the authority will monitor these issues. read more

About 3 weeks ago, we broke down on I 80 heading east just about 25 miles out of Lincoln, and we had to pull off to the shoulder. Pretty hairy situation with a couple of cats and a car full of our luggage (moving back east) we called Midwest towing and they told us it'd be about hour and a half. Immediately afterwards, our tow called us and she said she'd be there in 30. She got there super quick, took care of everything!! She gave my wife and I a ride to the Mitsubishi dealership back in Lincoln, and really lightened up the mood. She was professional, fun, and went completely above and beyond the call of duty. Traveling from Baja Mexico to Wisconsin, my RV broke down west of Lincoln. Daniel, the tow truck driver, arrived exactly when promised and proceeded to drive my dog and me all the way to Omaha to where my insurance company had instructed him to. It was almost 7:00 p.m. by the time we arrived at the shop, which was just closing. We were informed that they did body work but not engine work. OMG! I'm a stressed out, disappointed 60-year-old woman in a strange town with a confused dog. Daniel took complete control. I would never recommend this towing company. My daughter had an accident yesterday, and the people on the phone where short and rude. When I asked for the initial cost, I was told $90, but my my car sustained additional damage after my first call, so when they called back and I had nowhere to take my totaled car, I instructed them to tow it to their lot, and they called right away when they'd finished towing it to collect $198! They said it was mileage--I calculated the distance and it was 15 miles, and according to Mapquest, the estimated fuel cost for that distance is $1.50. When I called the next day to get a copy of the receipt, they said "we already emailed it to you"-- if you call Midwest Towing, make sure to get out your checkbook, and don't expect friendly service. read more

My daughter's car was towed by Midwest Towing against their own company policies. Their policy states that only a property owner can authorize a tow. My daughter's car was towed on November 22, 2016 at 7:15pm. The property owner did not call or sign for this tow. According to the Lincoln police department, any tow that directly fails to meet the company policy is considered an illegal tow. This company allowed a jealous ex-boyfriend to tow a car out of revenge. When I placed a call to the company to address this issue on November 23, 2016, I spoke with an employee who verified that the person who authorized the tow was indeed not the property owner. This call was heard by several witnesses as it was on speaker phone. The following day, November 24, 2016, I reached out to the business owner, Jeff, who has never once tried to solve the issue and offer me a refund. He has however lied on many occasions to try to cover his company's mistake. Jeff has refused to refund the cost of this illegal tow and has caused me to file a claim against him and his business with the Lancaster County Court to recover the money I paid for this illegal, against company policy tow. The person who called for the tow and authorized the tow and signed for the tow (not the property owner) is now said to be working for Midwest Towing. read more
