I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience at Midwifery Women's Care, especially with Christine. From the moment I walked in, the staff was so warm and welcoming -- truly some of the nicest people I've encountered in any medical setting. There was no wait time, which is practically unheard of these days, and the entire atmosphere felt calm, professional, and genuinely caring. As someone who is part of the LGBTQ+ community, I always carry a bit of anxiety when going to new healthcare providers -- but that completely disappeared the moment I saw Christine for my annual exam. She treated with total respect and care, just like any other patient. There was no awkwardness, no assumptions -- just kindness and professionalism. It was honestly the best experience I've ever had with a healthcare provider. She took the time to really listen to me, made me feel completely comfortable, and answered all of my questions -- never once making me feel like anything I asked was silly or unimportant. That level of care and attentiveness is so rare and meant the world to me. I left my appointment feeling confident, informed, and fully supported. I can say with absolute certainty that I cannot wait to have Christine as my midwife when I do become pregnant. Knowing she'll be part of that journey gives me so much peace of mind. read more

I am SO fed up with this place. I paid a full deposit to see Kathy with the knowledge that I would not be able to continue all of my appointments because I would be moving to a different state. I gave the office full disclosure about my plans and they said this is fine but I would not be able to return to see Kathy if I find a new midwife. I have had 3 appointments and am finally moved to the current state. I have been requesting my medical records for over 6 WEEKS so that I am able to check in with another midwife and not only do they keep sending records that are blacked out but no one returns my calls... this is my first child and I am currently 31 weeks pregnant. I paid 3,000$ to have NO support, NONE of my questions answered, NO PLAN! This place sucks and they do not care about what happens to you in my opinion. read more

I was told to arrive early, only to wait in the lobby for an hour and a half. The front desk staff engaged in inappropriate conversations, comparing their physiques to Kim Kardashian's. People who arrived after me were called in before me. I would never recommend a provider like this! If their customer service is this poor, imagine the quality of their actual services. read more

They are wonderful here. Kind, patient and life long relationships are made here. They provide all types of care for woman and fertility. My experience here is going on 10 years with Christine Hackshaw. She is amazing and delivered both my babies with no issues and made sure to take all my concerns seriously !! It is very hard to find African American and/or cultured women in this field. Front desk is kind also. They're open late (after 5pm) a few days a week as well. read more

I saw a lot of negative reviews on here and feel like I need to share my experience. I had heard so many great things about this practice and everything I head was right. I had Christine as my Midwife and she was seriously so amazing. She is so down to Earth and takes the time to answer every question and concern you may have, she really takes her time with you and puts all of your concerns at ease. This was my first pregnancy and naturally every little thing made me nervous. I would call and she would see me to do an ultrasound and let me know anytime I felt like that to come in. When delivery time came she always checked in on me and tried to keep me calm, after 36 hours we had to do a c section. She performed it perfectly and my scar is literally non existent, everyone is always shocked at how there is such a faint line. I will 10000% be using her for my next pregnancy. read more

Wow this place is horrible. They delivered my first which I had a good experience and I went back with my second pregnancy. I have a medical condition they simply did not care to reasonably accommodate. Then when I decided to leave because they wouldn't offer me a medical accommodation they called me and told me I have a viral disease I don't have and asked me if I wanted to come in to "discuss" it. at this point it was apparent they were trying to use this to persuade me to stay as a patient. I told them my new doctor would take care of it, and to send my blood work over as requested. It turns out they hadn't even tested me for what they said I had as the blood had spilled. Once I finally did get the test I didn't have what they told me I had. This is disturbing and beyond unprofessional especially telling this to a pregnant woman worried about her high risk twin pregnancy! If they are willing to say these things it makes one wonder what they are willing to do for keep a patient for $$. read more

This office is going to scam you out of money, BEWARE!!! First, for THREE appointments, they advised that my deductible was $1,000.00, then, on my fourth appointment, surprise, now my deductible is $2,000.00. When I first started treating there I advised them that I saw Google reviews of their billing practices being complained about. They ASSURED me that if there are ANY changes they will call me beforehand and advise me. Not only did they NOT advise me of the $400 + payment I would have to pay the following appointment, they did my genetic testing and did NOT tell me that I am also responsible for another $200 from the company they use, which charged my insurance $7,000.00 for 3 tests. Never a call, never said a word. They wrote me prescriptions for prenatal vitamins that cost over $400 with insurance and when I advised them, they said, did you see the coupon -it's $25.00. Why would you NOT advise someone that your vitamin YOU prescribe is that price point? Also, they referred me to a Dr. Patel in Boca for my 20-week scan and that doctor's office called me and the office manager told me that they would cut me a deal, that it would cost $1,000.00 under insurance but they would take $350 cash and that the second appointment would only be $250 cash, like some type of pyramid scheme. EXTREMELY unprofessional, so, I advised my doctor's office and they said it should be free and they don't know why they would say that. They didn't do anything about it and didn't say anything to management, just brushed it off. This place OVER CHARGES AND SCAMS you. They are NOT TRANSPARENT and lie right to your face. I WOULD NEVER EVER EVER SUGGEST GOING HERE. read more

Do not go here unless you want to be harrassed. I went here for a YEAST INFECTION. it cost me $175 out of pocket plus the additional cost for the prescriptions. I was 18 years old at the time paying out of my own pocket because this is the country we live in. Afterwards, I assumed everything was fine. I didnt agree or say I was going to pay any more, and neither did the doctor. Nope. These greedy people had ppl blow up my phone and send me letters abt an over $700 bill for the culture tests... FOR A YEAST INFECTION. its an ob gyn office... this is ridiculous. siccing creditors after an 18 yr old. extremely predatory and sad. when i spoke to the people harrassing me finally, they told me to call my doctor. meaning this office caused this, and no they do not care abt your health and wellbeing. I already paid $200 out of pocket mind you. So what they are telling you is in their opinion I should pay over $900 for a yeast infection. regardless of whether i agreed to that amount, regardless of the fact they have no signature on file of me agreeing to that. disgusting and greedy. thanks to this office i will not be going to the doctors again out of fear that this will happen to me. thanks a fucking lot. read more

I want to share my experience so no one else has to go through this. The office is horrible and incredibly unorganized - they do not answer phones and do not follow up with results after they've received them. There is no sense of urgency or expediency as you wait, so you will not be taken on time. The absolute worst part about Midwifery Women's Care is the lack of professionalism and expertise. I was almost carelessly injected with unsterile solution that would have put me in the hospital. Do not go here. The worst doctor's office I have ever been to. read more

I am warning all women, PLEASE do not go to Dr. Gross or Kathy Fair! I recently had an endometrial ablation at their Boca office. It should have been a routine procedure. I was given the wrong prescription that I took the night before. Also, I was not given anesthesia as directed by NovaSure. The endometrial lining of my uterus was burned without anesthesia. I can't describe the pain that I had for approximately 15 hours! I had an immediate fever and vomited within 5 minutes(in the office bathroom) after the procedure due to the intense pain. Dr. Gross never even came back in the room to check on me. I was told he left for lunch. I emailed Kathy's office telling them I was still in extreme pain. They waited 9 hours to respond. This office is totally inept and negligent. read more

This practice has one of the worst doctors I have ever seen in my life! I am 28 weeks pregnant and was threatened by their OB physician Dr. Patrosian that if I gained any more weight he would dismiss me from the practice. I had only gained 22 pounds. Every time I had a prenatal visit he body shamed me and said I was too heavy. I withdrew from the practice and had my new doctor send for my file and after they received the notice of new physician and withdrawal of patient from me Dr. Patrosian certified mailed me a letter stating lies. Stating that he dismissed me from the practice due to non compliance because o was told not to gain anymore weight and he isn't satisfied that I have gained weight. I guess being pregnant means I must be on a diet and do whatever means it takes to feel pressured to lose weight. My midwife that I loved only made excuses for his unprofessional behavior but yet allowed him to treat her patients this way. Please i am warning you STAY AWAY from this practice and doctor. He discriminates and lies to cover his behind. read more

I would love to give this place a good review. I had heard so many great things about this practice. And how Kathy fair and the other doctors were great. I scheduled an appointment for a yearly visit. I came in and filled out all of the paperwork as a new patient. I waited for my insurance to be verified. And was told I absolutely would not have a co-pay. Understanding that sometimes you can be sent a bill later on, I wanted to be sure. The receptionist re assured I owed no money. A month later I received a bill from their practice stating I owed $60. When I received an explanation of benefits from my insurance company, which is not match the services rendered. In addition to this, since I filled out new patient paperwork (and came 10 minutes before my appointment to do so), I was finished filling out my paperwork five minutes after my scheduled time to be there. After this, I waited for two hours to be seen for an ultrasound. When I approached the receptionists about an approximate time I would be seen, the ultrasound technician abruptly came out of the room which was close to the front desk, and carried on about how I "showed" up late, so now I have to wait. Not only was she incorrect, but incredibly rude and unprofessional doing this in front of the entire waiting room. Eventually I was seen, 2 hours and 35 minutes passed my appointment, and the technician was not the least bit pleasant. I was only in the room for a whole fives minutes. It was almost as if she made me wait, and wanted me to complain, and then jumped on me about inquiring about waiting. My follow up with the doctor was great, she was very nice and professional. The office was clean. I am a firm believer professionalism is everything, especially in this type of field. I will not be returning. I truly feel as though the office should consider the attitudes of the employees and how the interact with their patients. I am generally A very easy going person, however the ultrasound technician made me uncomfortable, and I felt uninvited. read more

Excellent midwives. Heartbroken to have to find new care because of a nurse who has treated me horribly. Roslyn marked off tests that were not ordered by Christine. A got a huge bill from the lab for a whole STD panel none of the results which were positive. I declined STD testing on paper. I called the office and emailed them a copy of the bill. Never heard back. I called again weeks later and was asked to resend the email. This went on for months. My visit was in May, by October I went in and discussed this issue with Christine herself. She said it would be taken care of. I was not rude, but I was reduced to tears anyway from the nurse. It has been almost an entire year later and I am still receiving the same bill caused by some human error that no one seems to be capable of fixing. The office manager is never there. Mistakes can happen, but being treated like garbage by the nurse is completely unnecessary. I didn't write this review until now, because that's not the kind of person I am. So if you are a kind person looking for kind care, don't look for it here as long as that nurse is there and an office manager never is. read more
