Aside from the catastrophe, the food was excellent. The french onion soup was flavorful and came with large fresh baguette slices, onions, and a bowl of add-yourself shredded cheese. The tagliatelle carbonara pasta was rich and filled with pancetta. We devoured everything.
My husbands lemon and sugar crepe was equally enjoyable paired with his cafe noir. Thank god they gave us another cup after the pigeon incident. Btw, we had a good laugh with our French server who spoke almost no english. Talk about bonding!
This is a place where locals hang out. Good sign!
