The Uber rides to the beach were around an hour each way and only cost about $15 USA dollars. I was upgraded into an apartment suite looking out towards Olympic Park. I would love to stay at the property again! The hotel staff was excellent and went above and beyond to make our trip enjoyable. This property reminds me why I am loyal to Hilton. The whole place from the lifts to the wall tiles to the rooms was incredible and unlike anyplace I've stayed in. Breakfast wasn't included but was quite good with the yoghurt, ham/cheese sandwiches, eggs and toast. Also were provided with the house banana cake which was good. Location was good and close to the escadron selaron. Also close to Santa Teresa center where there are cool restaurants and shops. Overall, great experience. Would recommend staying here in you're in Rio.

One day we had some down time so we went to the Spa for massages, great massage, nice area u get to relax, drink tea & eat fancy chocolates by end of your massage. I would say one of the best things at this hotel is the roof top pool, Just wow, the views during any time are just lovely. They have a bar area for food & drinks, we had drinks caipirinha were good but pricey compare to else where, beers were not bad but I didn't like that they had no Brazilian beers. We spend a nice amount of time at the pool just relaxing & enjoying the amazing views of Copacabana beach. Hotel is a great location right across from the beach, they have a cafe across the street that is part of the hotel, we had drinks & food here one day not bad. During the day this is where u get the hotel towels for the beach, the hotel has a designated area for guest which was nice. After the beach visit u can rise off in the showers before entering the hotel, nice & convenient. There was some construction during our visit which disrupted sleep some mornings since the construction was a bit loud, not terrible but of course just more annoying than anything else. Overall we had an enjoyable stay, great pool & a great location make this a good hotel stay.

The best part of this hotel is its location. It is right in the heart of Copacabana Beach surrounded by restaurants and stores. My room was fairly high up so I got beautiful views of Sugar Loaf Mountain and the beach as well.

My favorite part was the shower/tub. I loved unwinding with an aromatic bubble bath in the evenings. My only complaint however, is that their faucets and shower head filters clearly haven't been changed in a long time. The shower water spews in every direction with poor water pressure, as does the sink. The sink also kept clogging. My boyfriend was personally a fan of the toilet (ha!) which had a heated seat and dryer. The bed was dreamy, and thanks the pillow menu, I even found a pillow for my debilitating neck pain. The welcome treats were appreciated, as were the nightly desserts. Finally, the pool deck has the best views of the Rio and provides an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city below.

We checked in late evening after a long drive for a one night stay on our way to Buzios. After…read morestaying only one night, I wish we could have stayed longer! The hotel was suggested by a friend who is a tour guide in Rio. LOCATION: on a semi-quiet not too busy street. There is more activity during the day. Only a few minute walk to the main streets in Lapa with a variety of bars, clubs and restaurants to choose from. I noticed two supermarkets also close by. I also believe a subway stop is not too far. PARKING: There is not free parking but there is parking available for 21 Reis a day. Just pull up and the door man will wish your car away. FRONT DESK/STAFF: They could not have been nicer. Most of them could speak a fair amount of English. Which was great as I do not speak Portuguese. They were very attentive to our questions. Sometimes there was a wait but they were helping other guests. The cleaning staff always said hello and asked if we needed any thing. The doormen were also friendly and pointed us in the correct direction when we ventured out. We had asked for a late checkout and were allowed to stay two extra hours at no charge. They offered to store our bags if we needed longer. We took this opportunity and when we arrived back at the hotel they had already put our bags in the car. Very nice. ROOMS: we stayed in a three bedroom suite on the 11th floor with a beautiful view of the mountains and Christ the Redeemer in the distance. The beds were comfortable with thick pillows. No bedbugs to be found. The bathroom was clean and they provided shampoo, conditioner and soap. There was a mini- refrigerator and a microwave. A large closet with shelves. There was no dresser but three small night stands and a small desk with a chair. Each bed had its own reading light above with a light switch by the pillow. They did provide a folder with a piece of paper and an envelope along with a survey to fill out. It would have been nice if they had information about Rio or even just the Lapa district. We asked for a map at the front desk which they could not provide. TERRACE: what a spectacular view. The Cathederal, Christ the Redeemer, "Sugar loaf" or Põa de Açucar, a small view of the sea. The pool was on the small side but at least there was one. The fitness room was perfectly adequate and what a view to behold when getting your exercise!! There is a bar located up there but never saw anyone up there making drinks. We had gone up in the morning to see the view before check out (noon) and at night upon our arrival. We were very disappointed that the terrace was closed at 10 pm and we arrived at 10:15 pm. I think it should be opened later. We would have loved to have a cipirhinas with the view of Rio at night. BREAKFAST : was very good, a variety of different options., buffet style. Coffee, teas, juices, scrambled eggs, sausage, meats (deli style), cheeses, breads, cakes and many fruits. My only complaint is that we arrived at 9:40 and breakfast ended at 10. They were low on somethings and were not going to make more. We were not the only ones who arrived at the end. OVERALL: a great place to stay if you are interested in the city center, Lapa and Flamingo district. Not for beach goers.

However, our first evening, we went out for dinner and my husband all of a sudden felt very ill. We got the food to go and it started to poor down rain after getting back to our hotel. We took the food downstairs to where they have tables 'the business center' at 9 pm and were the only ones there. I wanted to eat the meal we had gotten to go ( as there is literally no place in your room to eat) however was immediately told you cannot eat here and to go to our room. Completely disgusting place - you will see if you stay here. In addition, breakfast is free but horrible and they have stairs right at the entrance. Absolutely perfect for lugging your luggage up right after your flight and 2 hour drive from the airport. I am disgusted by this place to the max and am normally one to praise anyone to gives the time of day.
