I started using Mighty Green early last year after having been on Trugreen's program for the 3 years prior that I've lived here in Metro birmingham. When I called them, I was at my wit's end about everything lawn care, because no matter what it seemed like I would never have the picturesque lawn that I hoped I would and was promised. I'm happy to report that even only having been with them as long as I have, my lawn has improved tenfold! The customer service is impeccable and if I ever have questions or concerns, they address them immediately. The guy that comes to do my yard is very nice and polite, makes sure to pick up the toys that my kid always seem to leave out there for him. He's very knowledgeable and answers all of my questions. I'm never really sure how much to water and mow and it's just nice that I can trust his judgement. Anyways, I recommend them to all of my homeowner friends and family and so should you. Unfortunately Mighty Green committed a serious breach of trust with me and I had to cancel service. My video system caught their Tech pulling up to my home, walking up and placing the invoice on my door, then return to his vehicle and drive off with no service, or attempted service, performed. I was stunned and reported this to MG. A manager reported back to me that the Tech confirmed this happened and gave a ridiculous excuse that frankly is something I would expect from a 10 yr old who got caught. It was embarrassing. I asked for a new Tech and was told that would be difficult, but maybe. After reflecting on all of this, I realized I would have too many concerns moving forward with MG as to whether any future service was performed or was I maybe short changed. read more

I began using Mighty Green because I noticed one of my neighbors was using its weed control service. I've used Mighty Green for about 3 years now but in August, 2025 had to cancel its service because Mighty Green never treated my back yard adequately, if at all. There are weeds all along the fence line in my backyard as shown by the pictures I intend to upload on this site. One huge weed, near my back gate, was at least 3.5 feet tall. I let it keep growing to see if Mighty Green would kill it. But Mighty Green did not kill it and instead allowed it to keep growing over the course of several treatments. I decided to slow pay Mighty Green to gain its attention, but when it called to ask for payment, its person who called attempted to blame the presence of weeds throughout my backyard on my alleged failure to keep my back yard adequately mowed since I had cordoned off part of the backyard to keep my dogs from killing the grass when they made dog walking trails. Unfortunately for the collection employee's preposterous excuse, the 3-4 foot weed, and many other weeds, are in areas I did actually mow with regularity. In sum, Mighty Green either did not treat my back yard at all, or it did so with complete incompetence. And this even after I had previously complained and showed Mighty Green employees the weeds its company had failed to eliminate. Yet even after complaining and showing Mighty Green employees the weeds, and after being told it would eliminate them, Mighty Green's service became worse. But in fairness, I will admit the company did a fair job--not a good job--of controlling the weeds in my front yard. I write "fair" because I still occasionally had weeds appear in my front yards for weeks at a time. Overall, this company provides poor service. read more

I began using this company around 4-5 years ago. Years 1 & 2 I had great results in my yard. These last few years, the weeds have gotten worse. I had them come out last year and they stayed the particular weeks weren't affected by the solution they use. This year, I have wide variety of weeds in my yard. I do not recommend Mighty Green Lawn Care at all and would encourage others to find a different service. The technician could not find our home on their first try. They actually went to another home in the neighborhood and the homeowner there told them they were at the wrong house. A week later the technician went back to that very same house and treated their lawn without their knowledge. When Mighty Green finally got the right address, the treatment inhibited the growth of our lawn and promoted the growth of the crabgrass. I've also seen other lawns in the neighborhood that have been treated by Mighty Green and I'm completely unimpressed. Additionally, Kate in the office swears that she communicated to me that there is an 8 treatment minimum in order to receive the first treatment for free. That was not the case. In fact, that stipulation was never communicated to me at all. She wanted to stay on the phone and argue with me about whether or not she had made that statement. It was very unprofessional and not a good way to garner new/continued business. read more

After using Mighty Green services for several years, I have to say we are happy enough to stay with them, but at the same time, not impressed on many points. - LAWN QUALITY IS GREAT, as a result of their work. The quality of our lawn being the most important indicator of their service, I am very happy with this. Whenever we have extra weeds, they come take care of it. But their regular applications usually do the job just fine and our lawn looking nearly perfect. - SCHEDULING IS SPORADIC. Sometimes we will schedule for them to come out a certain day of the week to show something (like a patch of weeds that hasn't died), they will come back a week or two later. Another item is that their employees either don't read comments with instructions or lack a good system to do so. I have a fence door that needs to be lifted a little before opening, they often don't do it and scrab it against the ground despite calling them multiple times to remind about it. - FLEXIBLE. We've had to ask them to treat extra areas sometimes and they would accommodate. read more

We used Mighty Green for a few years & our yard was decent. However I noticed that our crepe myrtles did not bloom from the start of their service. The leaves would come out every spring but the trees did not bloom. I had a strong suspicion it was a result of their service because they bloomed before Mighty Green. I called them but of course they quickly tried to refute that. The following spring we ended their service & went with another service & our trees bloomed on schedule & have been blooming ever since. read more

Just do yourself a favor and do not do business with this company. First things first, I paid for a year, PAID IN FULL.. for a year only. Spoke to the sales guy and specifically said that I didn't want any service done after the year was up and we would discuss the possibility of continuing service then. What do they do? They came and serviced the lawn again without my knowledge or consent and then billed me for it, then threatened my credit if I didn't pay. We have been using Mighty Green for years. We recently started our service at our new house. Our lawn was COVERED in weeds. The day after they treated our yard the first time, we could already see the weeds starting to die off. It's been a couple of weeks now and they're already almost completely gone (you would've had to have seen how bad it was to know why this is such a big deal - we had around 11 different types of weeds on our front lawn). I have a rental property in Birmingham and I started using Mighty Green and I have to say I have had one of the best looking lawns I have ever had. They really knows how to take care of my lawn. A few months ago I called Mighty Green, When they answered, I briefly described my lawn. They came out that afternoon and assessed my lawn. They explained that it would take some time but they were up for the task. I had thin grass and bare areas throughout my lawn not to mention all the weeds. I have used Mighty Green for four years. They were very good in the beginning, but in the past year they have missed treatments and do not offer to come back and treat the yard. They actually have no way of telling you when the last time your yard was treated. Martin, I only wish i had read you review before i signed on with this poor excuse of a lawn co. I noticed some problems at the start of the service but was talked into giving them time to correct the problem and they would make a service call which by all accounts are no charge but low and behold it was almost time for my service so I was charged and still made the mistake of giving them the rest of the year and part of this year. When I called to cancel my service this so called "caring company" didn't even care enough to check to see why I would no longer be a customer, my guess is they already knew so a little over a year and 800.00 dollars later I learned my lesson please take my advice and look elsewhere for lawn care because all the do here is talk a good game and by the way I do have the GREENEST WEEDS ON MY STREET THANKS MIGHT GREEN read more

Initially the service from Mighty Green was very good and they did indeed control the weeds and built up my lawn and it looked good. About 8 months ago they asked if we would like to have our lawn aerated and I told them that that I only wanted the front and side of the house done, which they did. For whatever reason after that they started only treating the front and side of the house and neglected the back yard which started looking very bad. I contacted Mighty Green via email and they advised me that they have in their records that we wanted only the front of the house done. I informed them that was incorrect and further requested that they either refund 1/2 of the fee we paid for the past 6 months or provide 3 months service for no charge in order to make up for this error. We did request only the front yard be aerated, however the lawn care service was to remain in place. I have not heard from them since. In the email sent to them I did advise that I would place negative reviews on the internet should they decide to ignore our demands. After 2 attempts to contact them with no response I decided to follow though. This company has taken our money and did not provide the service that was paid for, and they have failed to respond to my inquiries. read more

Can you say UNPROFESSIONAL! I had an excellent lawn and I switched to them from TrueGreen to save a few dollars. What a mistake that was. Over the next two years, the quality of my lawn went down hill. I made several requests for them to improve the lawn and nothing was ever done. I called and told the women who answered the phone that I was not going to pay the bill until some effort was made to correct the lawn. She told me (in a very rude way) that she would start adding monthly late charges of $5.00 if i did not pay the bill on time. I told her that it would be best that we no longer do any business together and I will pay my final bill. A week later I get a bill that shows my $32.00 payment was received however, there was now a $5.00 charge for a late fee. Now it's been several months and I now get a monthly bill with an additional $5.00 added every month. I called and they insist on me paying the multiple late fees.
