    Veggie sizzling rice
    Roz M.

Love this place! It's a very quiet restaurant but we always enjoy the service and the good food. Some amazing suggestions: - Egg drop soup. I have never had anything so amazing as this soup. It's also low calorie for you health conscious types. - Beef and broccoli. The beef is cooked perfectly to melt in our mouth! The way beef was intended. - Veggie Sizzling Rice. I'm personally not a vegetarian but the boyfriend used to be one and this is his favourite dishes. I really do enjoy this dish. Never thought I would enjoy tofu! Weird.... - Ginger Beef. YUM. - Crispy Wontons. Very good but make you have a large group to share with because they give you a good helping. - Almond Chicken. YUM! A great place to dine. And even better if you need to take your girlfriend out on a last second Valentine's date and you didn't make a reservation. Hint hint. :)

Beef and broccoli in black bean, chicken chop suey and fried rice combo $9.50

Went for chinese for lunch, short menu, 2 dishes with fried rice and egg for $9.50, had beef with brocolli in black bean and chicken chow mein, both nice, rice kind plain but fit well with the other dishes. All served on one plate Looked at the take out and dinner menu, huge selection of Thai food dishes., this is a thai restaurant with a few chinese dishes. Next time I am going for the thai! Music was refreshing, not loud, not "chinese", just relaxing. Service was excellent!!!

Got the lunch special, comes with fried rice and you get to pick 2 items of the list. Loved the chicken balls! Lots of food!

This was some of the best Chinese food I've ever had. Had the $13:00 lunch special and it was more than I could eat.

Their hot and sour soup is good . Lots of veggies and pork and good portion size . I'll visit again to try out the rest of menu.

This restaurant in Calgary's Chinatown was highly recommended by a family member, and they were…read moreabsolutely right. We had been eating overly heavy dinners over the past few days, so we decided to be relatively gentle with our order this time. Here is a breakdown of what we tried: Xiao Long Bao (小籠包 - Soup Dumplings): This is my daughter's favorite, so we ordered two baskets for her. They were executed beautifully. They were well-steamed on a clean sheet, and thankfully, there was no grayish blood seeping out of the meat. The wrapper (麵 皮) was right on the spot--not too hard or soft, not too thick or thin, and it didn't have that rubbery "chewing gum" or mushy "play dough" texture you get at lesser places. The pork filling tasted clean with no funky pork smell. Very nice. Beef and Tendon Noodle Soup: This was just okay, but to be fair, I don't expect a flawless bowl of beef noodle soup from a restaurant that doesn't strictly specialize in it (especially at a Dim Sum-focused spot). The broth was a bit plain and served lukewarm. The tendon, however, was well-cooked and well-marinated with a pleasant taste; it was a bit on the firmer side, which didn't bother me. The noodles were on the softer, sparser side rather than dense and chewy. I personally prefer a firmer noodle, but again, I can't complain too much given the venue. Spicy Tofu and Preserved Egg (麻辣皮蛋豆腐): I really liked this dish. The tofu had a fantastic, fresh soy taste, the preserved egg was delicious, and the chili oil and soy sauce dressing was perfectly balanced. If you are wondering what these "black eggs" are and feel a bit hesitant or concerned about trying them, I highly recommend giving them a shot here. This dish will easily fix those concerns! Overall, it was a great meal. I will definitely return, and next time we have the appetite, I'll dive deeper into the dishes they truly specialize in.

I have never been to this restaurant. So the good news is I don't need to go to this restaurant any more. A friend invited me to this restaurant. He explained that they have serious, authentic Szechwan fare, but would choose things that even a lao wai like myself could enjoy. Not gonna lie, there was some _heat_, but the flavours were more than worth it. I was probably the only pale guy in the place, which is often a good sign for a Chinese restaurant. The place was very busy, but the staff was incredibly thoughtful. The service was excellent and the food arrived rapidly. I shouldn't say "food". It was a Feast. Everything was cooked to perfection and simply delicious. My only warning (apart from listen to them when they say, "spicy") is that it is authentic. Some dishes will have the bones in. Some might have elements that you're not supposed to eat. Just like many European dishes don't intend for you to eat the whole cloves or peppercorns. If you don't have a native guide, just let the staff know. Judging from my own experiences, they'll treat you right.

Unbeatable prices. Seriously, how is the food so cheap?! They offer 2 or 3 different discounts…read moreincluding 10% off pickup, discounted items over a certain amount, set menus... Ok so the food is super cheap.. BUT ALSO, THE FOOD WAS ACTUALLY IMPRESSIVE TOO???? NOT TOO OILY, NOT TOO SALTY, GOOD AMOUNT OF SPICY HEAT, fried food actually crunchy. I really appreciated all of the above. I know the food probably isn't healthy still, but I hate when restaurant food has a puddle of oil. The noodles were a bit stuck together because of the lack of oil. Maybe this is why the squid was so crunchy too? The guy serving us in the front said his mom was cooking in the back. She's like she really cares about her customers and making sure they eat a bit more healthy, and of course, tasty food. Each dish had a good mix of veg and meat. They are NOT stingy on meat or veg. We also got the mapo tofu and it was better than t&t. Again, another thing I liked was how the mapo tofu sauce wasn't loaded with starch. In fact, I don't think there was any (along with any sugar) because the sauce was all watery in texture. Flavour and spice was perfect. Something unique about it was that it had a bunch of green peas. I know some people don't like peas. Lol. Overall, this place is genuinely good which is surprising given the insanely low prices. The staff is really nice and chill. I highly reccomend this place for takeout if you're looking for something low-key at home. Ps. There's no seating inside. This is purely a Chinese takeout joint. They have chairs inside if you're waiting for your food.
