Any conversation with her would be about her having a long list of people waiting to get into her daycare and how she's so popular and so in demand. Constantly. Attached are screenshots of the conversations. 1. When we were about to sign the contract with her and asked her for 2 referrals, she responded back saying "I will only give you one. If you want more then you can find another daycare." 2. Our child got really sick after his 1st week at her daycare. This happens to kids and no fault of Amelia's but he got Bronchitis (RSV) and an eye infection we had to make multiple trips to the Urgent Care and doctor to get this treated. Given his sickness we couldn't send him to daycare until he was better - this took almost 2 weeks. We messaged Amelia letting her know that if he's better we will send him for a couple of days that 2nd week, but if not we would wait until the week after. Of course we were paying her even though he didn't attend. Her response: "If you don't send him next week then I will find another family". See attached screenshot of message. He was so sick! She wanted to force us to send him the week after and risk him not getting better and more importantly risking other children at the daycare?! Not once did she ask "How's the baby, hope he's better etc" - Just threatening that she has more clients waiting to take the spot. 3. Today was his 6th day at the daycare and since he's still new and adjusting, my husband asked her if she could send some pics during the day so we feel assured that he's fine. Especially given the day before he cried a lot, threw up milk and didn't even nap. Her response: "I don't have time to do this, I have other children to see." You literally cannot expect to see any pictures of what your child is doing all day? Given he just started daycare? Unbelievable. 4. She would constantly compare kids in her daycare to other children. "Oh look at this girl, she's so cute, she started a week before your son and is already adjusted." Who compares kids like this? Any chance she got she would just complain about how busy she is and how she has a long list of people dying to join her daycare. I am more than happy to talk to you in more detail if you want about our experience, but as one parent to another - stay away from this daycare. The amount of stress she's put us through in such a short period of time has been insane.

We looked at multiple facilities, but felt right at home when we toured Super Munckins Academy. The teachers Michael, Romaria, and Liliane are all very kind and caring. I have seen them treat all the children as if they are family. My son has always been excited at drop off, relieving a lot of anxiety when we first started daycare and every day after. I always know that he is in good hands and am never stressed or worried during the day. Every time we pick him up he is smiling ear to ear. They provide frequent status updates and photos throughout the day which is much appreciated. They also utilize baby sign language as well which really helped foster our son's communication skills. In addition to this they taught my son to say please/thank you before 18 months which, I will tell you, is the cutest thing ever. They do daily teaching activities and go to the park as well. They get a lot of outdoor play as well which my son loves. They are able to accommodate special requests as well (ie early nap time if needed based on appointments). Both my husband and I work 8-5 most days so we were worried about finding a place that could accommodate our work hours. Michael worked with our schedule and was able to plan early drop off/pick up for us which was much appreciated! They even are able to provide weekend care with advanced notice if one of the teachers are available.

My husband and I really appreciate the atmosphere this home-based daycare provides as it is important that young children enjoy their early years from infant-preschool. It is more than a family based daycare (note 14 kids is the maximum enrollment) as the program mimics preschool curriculum and teaches kids ABCs, shapes, coloring, name writing and whole lot more. Special kudos for introducing different languages- they speak Spanish and Portuguese and this place is well diverse. The teachers are all very caring and attentive to her needs and have been instrumental in her preparation for kindergarten. Each day (weather permitting) the kids have outdoor play and they visit different neighborhood parks, visit the library, and seasonal parks. One of the many perks is that they utilize the Bright Wheel App where they post many pictures and short videos throughout the day, so parents can see how their children are up too:) The location is ideal too as the home is next to SMPD, library, various shops and minute away from Foster City, 101/92 freeways. I too, agree that Super Munchkins Academy is a true gem and we are so grateful to have our daughter go there. She always talks highly of her teachers and her friends she has made along the way.
