Coming from Northern California, where we're lucky to see an abundance of world cuisines, I find it surprising that Italians actually eat Italian food - you really have to search for anything other. Granted, nowadays there are more Asian or Japanese restaurants in Italy than ever before, but you still have to search for it. I have found it here at Sakura. The ambiance is appropriately Japanese, with low tables if that's what you prefer, and also of regular height, accompanied by typical Japanese decor. Fresh sushi (nigiri, maki, temaki) and sashimi, miso, vegetable tempura, seafood udon, chicken katsu, pork tonkatsu (cutlet), beef teriyaki, salmon yaki - all of your usual suspects are on the menu. Everything is of the highest quality and well priced. I found this restaurant a refreshing change from everything Italian, I was longing for sushi. Regrettably, I have no photos to upload of Sakura's food, as my phone was acting up and Internet connection was slow - can't say the same of my appetite (everything disappeared in my tummy before my eyes adjusted and my patience caught up)!

We ordered from a tablet and had access to a full menu, with many tempting choices. We had a sashimi platter and sushi platter, with a chef special roll and miso soup.
