Overall investing with Edward Jones, expect to pay very high monthly fees. They are salesmen and will convince you purchase the products that they get kickbacks from.....American funds is one example. I went to Edward Jones because I lacked confidence in my own abilities, even though I had been buying selling stocks and funds for several years. The best thing that happened after a year with Edward Jones, I realized that I can do better on my own. I went in looking for an annuity and they told me I was too young. I found someone else that would sell me what I wanted and another year later I am very pleased. Also I am making up for the huge loss of investing with Edward Jones. The company sent my tax document in mid March, clearly illegal. This caused me an amendment to my income tax return. I'm sorry but I have nothing good to say about this company. Steer clear unless you have unlimited funds. Just look at how many Edward Jones offices there are in this small town of 14,000. There is about 5-6 offices???? Observe this in any town where baby boomers are retiring. Thank you Edward Jones for a good lesson in trusting my own abilities.

Years later I am still fighting the IRS to get back the money I am owed. Linda McGee is, to be frank, utterly senile and should have retired long ago. She was inept as a conservator and regularly neglected her responsibilities until the last possible moment, then charged fees for doing NOTHING! She delayed simple paperwork until months after it was due. Her secretaries are both rude and flat-out incompetent. So thankful to finally be rid of this office! Avoid this woman at all costs.
