I will start with the positive by saying that I 100% appreciate Mike's responsiveness. Since Bennington, VT is a small city, he for sure gets there on time, and that is always a plus plus plus for any customer. But when I got into his vehicle, Mike immediately, with NO prompt or provocation, offered me the information that he had "picked up some drunk guys from a bar in Wilmington" the night prior. Wait, what? 21 year-old frat boy gossip aside, I immediately shut down Mike's attempt to catty gossip about his other passengers with me, as I was completely not interested. Not only that, but that's just ridiculously unprofessional x 10. But since there aren't too many ways to top that type of unprofessionalism, Mike somehow did find a way by sending me a text message that reads, "Wanna chill, lmk ur cute" after he dropped me off! * sigh * I am assuming that his text was meant to read "If you want to chill, let me know, [I think that] you are cute," because I am not adept at interpreting high school text message shorthand, so I had to read the message several times in order to figure out exactly what it was that he was trying to convey, as I had no idea what "hmu" was at the time and had to try to figure it out. I live in New York City where taxi drivers are a dime a dozen and they are 100% about their business. No one has time to hit on random passengers, if it's not about money it's not worth their time. No cars available. No help in the area. Unfortunately this seemed to be the norm in the area.

Horrible experience, i was in desperate need for a ride, and his rudeness on the phone was enough for me to decide I would rather wait three hours for the next available taxi then give this person my time or money. I'll tell you this kids, I'd rather walk! read more

I have to leave a 5 star review for Mike - I was stuck on the side of the highway with car trouble on NYE and AAA couldn't dispatch anyone to help me. I called Mike to see if he could find me and give me ride back to my hotel..he was so kind and helpful, going above and beyond to try to help me. I don't even think I told him my name, but he followed up with me to make sure I was safe after I found some other roadside assistance. I didn't end up getting a ride from him, but I REALLY appreciated his kindness and knowing that he was willing to help me out! read more

horrible service. showed up 50 minutes after our scheduled pickup time. went to the wrong address and started honking and then called to say he was leaving. when he did get to the right house, he was rude and impatient, trying to blame being late on us. glared at us the whole time then sped away before the door was even closed. Mike's is always quick, courteous and communicative. He always helps out and is the best cab in Bennington area.

Mike is courteous, professional and punctual. Showed up 15min early for an airport pickup, was patient while we loaded up all our gear and kids, drove very safely and made sure we have plenty of time to get there for the flight. Knows the area very well. Kid friendly - even bought a couple of snacks for our little ones on the way and was understanding when we needed to make pit stops. Highly recommended, especially for families getting to and from airport for skiing and Vermont visits. read more

I called the day before needing a taxi to get to work, nobody picked up but someone called me back from a different number and booked the time. They never showed up in the morning and never returned my calls. I will not be recommending them to anyone and would give 0 stars if I could. read more

We waited over an hour past the pick-up time that we were given. Mike's girlfriend picked us up, and was actually very sweet and understanding, which is the only reason I'm giving 2 stars. When we got to our destination, Mike was there in another car and barking at us that we owed our "round trip fee up front," which he pulled completely out of thin air. This was just downright insulting... he must have taken our group for a bunch of morons to think we'd pay for a return ride up front after waiting for over an hour to be picked up in the first place. He then got in my face telling me he would call the cops on me if we didn't pay for the return ride, but his girlfriend told him off and he stopped whining. I found this funny, because he completely made up the amount we owed him on the spot. This guy's a joke and probably not even licensed to operate a taxi business. I would have laughed if he called the cops, because they probably would have shut him down. We were able to get a Lyft on our way home rather than using this overpriced, so-called "service," and I was very happy to take my business elsewhere. read more
