Tucked into the car dealer strip, this newer property is delightful. From the moment you walk in, you can expect the Vermont warmth of the staff. You will feel like they waited all day just for you! The rooms are well appointed, spacious and clean. The heating system was quiet and our room was comfortable on a hot summer night. The hallways were quiet, no noise carried in. The beds were soft and cozy. There was plenty of parking in front. The bonus was Hannafords, just a walk behind the hotel for treats and drinks. We enjoyed the walk listening to nothing but the sound of a million crickets. So, go have a weekend getaway to Bennington! The Hampton Inn will treat you like family while you visit. read more

Stayed here because every other hotel in every other part of Vermont was booked out for the holiday weekend. They were, apparently, unequipped to handle an influx of tourists even though the parking lot was fairly empty upon arrival. I checked in two hours past the check-in time and had to wait for half an hour in the lobby before the one staff member working said it would be another hour or so before the room would even be cleaned unless I chose to downgrade. I came back about two hours later and most of the rooms were still being cleaned. I inquired about the pool and they said it was available, but a bit "foggy." I went outside to find a full blown pond. It made the reflecting pool look like a resort. The nice thing about the hotel was that it's within walking distance to everything in town and the room was clean by the time I was actually able to enter. read more

It's a Hampton Inn. Expectations are low and on par with what I consider a 3rd tier hotel in the Hilton chain. They don't clean daily now, it's every other day - so be sure to ask for extra toilet tissue. I didn't realize until day 2... but checking out the next morning so... whatever. I feel like they should have at least place an extra roll on standby... since they didn't give me brand new toilet tissue to begin with. It's my 2x time staying here bc my coworkers - aka my carpool, are staying here. Bed was ok, the shower needs more pressure, and I wish the air conditioner wasn't so loud. Their breakfast was ok, don't eat the muffin... lol stale & hard. Waffle maker is cool. Near a Chili and Supermarket for any emergency. read more

I stayed at the Hampton Inn (see above) on March 7, 2026. I was given two keys although I was only one person staying there. I didn't know why and didn't think about it at that time. I probably mixed them up and used both, slthough no other person was in the room but myself. I called today 3/13/2026 and spoke to the General Manager about why I got two cards although I am one person. She said it is their policy to give two cards to everyone. For some reason, my husband thought there were two people in the room because of that. When I mentioned this to her she said (paraphrase) "Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about your marital problems. This is where I hung up. This is a direct exploitation of human vulnerabilities, and people's natual ability to think for themselves and not go around blindly trusting everything thrown at them. My husband had every reason to question that. The hotel seems to be causing problems where there are none and I won't stay there again. Of all the Hamptons I have stayed at over more than a decade (Diamond Member), this is at the bottom of the list. Except for the woman at the desk when I checked in, everything else was disappointing. The room had no refrigerator, no microwave, and a very soft King bed with standard sized pillows. No alarm clock. A few towels. Noisy hearing/cooling system. The breakfast room was not staffed. The oatmeal was more like soup than hot cereal. In short, this hotel is in serious need of renovation - not only the physical plant - the entire operation. Not worth the charge by any stretch. We drive over 1500 miles to start our leaf peeping vacation. We started in Bennington. The people at Hampton were our first experiences with VT people. I could not tell if they are unfriendly, don't like tourist or don't like people like me. The people at the front desk and the lady serving breakfast did not greet me and did not respond to my greetings. They just stared at me. There was dust on surfaces that should have been cleaned. It's October 2020 and almost a year living with COVID. I expected Hilton to have high standard of sanitation and cleanliness. Luckily I brought cleaning supplies and cleaned the room properly. Make sure you use the restroom before you leave for the day. I had a difficult time finding a restroom while exploring the area. read more

Very unprofessional made reservations and got a phone call minutes later saying they had already canceled it and we were not allowed to stay at this hotel because we live in the area then said we would have to go online and request a refund instead of them just refunding me the money that I just gave them ten minutes before they called and said we could only stay there if it was an emergency sorry but I thought anyone in America could rent a hotel room and didn't have to explain to the hotel why your renting a room and be happy that you chose their hotel but that's just my opinion but very unprofessional and concerning honestly I feel discriminated against and very unhappy in general I have never heard such nonsense but we were acomidated by a much better and less expensive hotel down the road and laughed when we told them what happened what a joke but would not recommend wasting your time makeing a reservation or talking to customer service they are very rude and prejudice in my opinion read more

The walk in lobby is clean and has a coffee bar with cocoa, tea, hot water, coffee, and extras for your drinks. The eating area is fine but they did not have many dairy free or vegan options i just like to mention that for people with food allergies. They do not make cheese less omelets when i asked if they did come without cheese because I'm lactose intolerant they were very apologetic and said no. I had 2 cold hard boiled eggs and some fruit. The room 317 We were on the third floor. The room was very clean and well presented. We were blown away we have a mini living room with a microwave, fridge, sink, and coffee maker. (That does not come standard this was considered a suite) The living room had a tv too. The bedroom was super spacious the bed was soft and cozy. The bedroom had a second tv so when my husband was sleeping i walked to the living room to watch tv. The bathroom was spotless very clean. Had a built in hairdryer. Only problem WALLS ARE SUPER THIN YOU HEAR EVERYTHING! I had to sleep with ear plugs in thank god i brought some. we were SURROUNDED by children in the other rooms. When i say surrounded i mean it. There were 3-5 families on our floor i think and 2 of them just let their kids run wild. Screaming, yelling, running up and down the hallway till 10pm My husband called and complained to the front desk they apologized and said they would try to help resolve the situation, but there is only so much they could do you know? 7am comes and these kids are screaming! Like to the point where those kids made me NOT WANT to have children we wanted to sleep in but we couldn't. After the family came back from breakfast the TV was blasting and the families around us were all talking very loudly. I blame their poor behavior in the parents there is a time and place to be loud and shout. So long story short hotel is great Clean rooms, great service, easy GPS access to hotel! But man oh man were those kids loud. Ask for a room away from children. read more

Stayed here for a night while up north. All the staff was friendly and nice, especially at the front desk. Room was clean, comfortable, and modern. I Always find with Hampton inn it's a hit or miss. This has a convenient location it's just right off the highway. What made us a four star review is that I wanted to use the sauna but the sauna was not functioning properly. The heater was turned up all the way and still didn't heat up. There is only one elevator and it runs very slow. Other than that I would definitely stay here again. read more

Above and Beyond!! We recently stayed at the Hampton Inn in Bennington, Vermont. We were pleased with our stay: the room was clean, the staff helpful, and breakfast excellent as always at a Hampton Inn. However, the real surprise cane when we got home: the Hampton Inn had called and left a message that they found (our daughter's) laptop in our room. They offered to ship it to us the next day. Terrible HILTON property..ignorant and unhelpful staff. Stayed one night. They managed to double charge me for two rooms and decided to randomly charge me another nearly $500 for God knows what. No help resolving or explaining the issues; I've had to make a claim with my bank. Customer relations were basically "we can't help you...sorry". The room was in need of a major update and a cleaning. It appeared to have been heavily smoked in and yellowed. They obviously have no standards or organization. I'd recommend looking for another property to stay or even sleep at a campsite or your car. Absolutely NOT worth the trouble. read more

I come to the area quite often for business. Unfortunately, this is the best hotel in the area. It's decent. Not fancy, just ehh...ok. The rooms are clean. The staff is friendly and I'm always recognized when I visit. (I come that often). The big pluses is that there is a grocery store in walking distance and a Chili's in the same shopping center as the property. If you are lazy as I am, you know that makes this hotel a gold mine. My biggest issues of this property are as follows: 1. The thermostat is a ruse. You have no control. Regardless of what you set it, you will be freezing all winter. Pack extra socks. 2. Outlets are few and far between. And the one that are available, are occupied by the stupid ill placed thingies in the room. As someone with a lot of electronic devices, this makes me growl and give the side eye. 3. A suite contains an ill place regriferator/ microwave cart. Suggestion: put the cart on the other side of the TV. The TV should be closest to the desk. I should not have to look past the gargantuan cart to see TV while I'm pretending to work. 4. The chair at the desk is horrendous. Its not a real office chair, its a grandma chair on wheels. Its not comfortable, can barely be adjusted and is just plain old ugly AND dirty. Not only that, even on the highest setting I feel like I'm sitting on the floor. Fix that mess. 5. There is NO reception in the area. I stayed at a Hampton Inn in PIttsfield, MA and it was the same situation and so those with status were allowed to use the room phone free of charge. Not the case here, or that I'm aware of. The fact that I have NO cell service makes me feel like I'm on Survivor. read more

Recently stayed here for six nights and I had a pretty good experience. The room had a queen bed, mini refrigerator, microwave, power / USB hub right next to the side of the bed and all the other little features every other hotel has. The television had a handful of HD channels with a mountain of accessible jacks in the back for additional devices. Some of the standard definition channels had some interference on them which made it hard to watch for anything longer than a few minutes. My second night there I was rudely waken up at five in the morning. The wife had a bag of ice set on her ear before she went to bed and apparently didn't tie it well enough because when she turned around to take it off of her, down my side it went. She sleeps with one of those noise machines that plays the sound of water running. So waking up hearing that with water on me, I thought there was a fire and the sprinkler was going off. The rest of my sleep was on the floor since she had a pile of crap on the couch. Breakfast was free every morning. There was two special items every morning but normally involved eggs and some sort of animal. Canned fruit was aplenty. Bagels were edible. Toast is always good. Waffles were huge but I had to make them myself, so that didn't happen too often. There was some tiny coffee cakes with fruit paste in the center that were ridiculously dry. Orange juice, cranberry juice, apple cider, water, lots of coffee and teas were the drinking options. Free in-room wi-fi for our laptop was absolutely terrible. Had to sign in every day I was there and it was insanely slow. It would constantly drop out or just load pages so slow that I was better off looking up stuff on my phone. Sometimes I would open a short music video on YouTube and just leave. By the time I got back (normally hours later) it still hadn't loaded completely! There was also an ethernet cable for a better connection but that didn't work at all. It just kept refreshing itself on the network so it was useless. I'm paranoid about housekeepers stealing my junk, so I never let anyone clean the room no matter how long I'm there. This stay was no different. They always shoved a note under the door that said "Mission Impossible! We tried to clean your room but the Do Not Disturb sign was in your door." Six of those were a little much, but I would guess the hotel makes them do it. Whenever I needed new towels or dry bed sheets, they never had a problem giving them to me. All in all, not a bad experience. read more

Chad's hotel eSCAPE v2 Review. Service: My check in experience went well. They staff was friendly and quickly got me my keys and complimentary snack and water. However, in the morning I called the desk to checkout and nobody answered the phone. Immediately after that on my way by the desk, the clerk was there but offered no greeting or goodbye as I left. Comfort (+). This location had the upgraded TV and bed side chargers that was nice. I was able to chill the room down to 65 (where I like it) and the bed was absolutely comfortable. I slept very well. The shower head was partially clogged but still was usable and the toilet seat did not stay up all the way. These were not bad enough issues though for it to lose it's (+). Atmosphere. The dining area was very average but sufficient. The breakfast offering was somewhat limited and not everything was in stock. The eggs did not look or taste very good. I was only able to pour half a cup of robust before the coffee ran out. Thank goodness for the to go bags! These are a great idea for those of us without much time. Price (+). During the summer, any Hilton property near this part of the country becomes ridiculously expensive. This particular property is still reasonably priced. Everything Else (+). One of the above average Hampton properties I have stayed at. The Bennington area is pretty and this is one of the nicest hotels for the price in this area. We stayed here a few weeks ago. I didn't see any other decent looking hotel in Bennington, hate B&B's (such pressure to eat the apples they leave out!), and know this franchise to be decent quality. Usually if "Inn" is in the name I run away, but this chain has always been pretty good to me. The Bennington version was no different. The price point was quite high though--I'd say rather outrageous for the area. But then that's capitalism--students starting to dribble in early August, weddings...supply and demand. The room was clean and perfectly well appointed. Plenty of easily accessible outlets. Slow internet (but the place was full). I see in another review a complaint about lack of outlets, but then that guy had a fridge. So ask about what's in the room before you book. There's a pool and fitness center, neither of which we had time to take advantage of. Breakfast is pretty grim--wrapped muffins, reconstituted eggs, and those waffles you make yourself with artificially maple flavored syrup (I mean, VT, really?) Anyway, it's the best option you have. There may be a nice privately owned B&B or hotel in Bennington, so if you're into that, this place shouldn't be your end all. Otherwise, this is a sure thing and they know enough to charge for it. read more

The Hampton Inn is the newest place to stay in Bennington. All of the (much lovelier) local bed & breakfasts and sleepy inns are in awe of the Hampton's indoor pool & sauna, but if you're going to "leaf-peep" your way across VT (or tend to come to town for business, like me) you should experience some real VT charm and stay at a small, family owned place. That said, the Hampton does its best to be personable. One morning during free breakfast the manager strolled around and said hello to every guest. I found it kind of uncomfortable but the grandparents and middle-aged biz men seemed pleased. The breakfast servers were very sweet, as was housekeeping. The rooms are standard Hampton fare, though they do feature Hampton's new improved beds & bedding. If you want a king sized bed, though, you have to sacrifice a tub and have just a shower. This makes no sense to me, but if you book two doubles/queens, you get a tub. What? Also, this Hampton (perhaps because it is so new) does not qualify for Hilton Honors point when you stay there. What is the point of enduring Fox News during free breakfast for five workdays in a row if I don't at least rack up some points to use at nicer hotels?? (Worth noting that there is a grocery store & Chilis within walking distance of this hotel. But stay at a B&B, really.) read more

My room was amazing! When I checked in the lovely woman at the front desk asked if I would mind a handicapped room because of my diamond status they wanted to upgrade me. I said no problem and received an amazing room in return. It was quick and close to the highway ramp. Not a great view but that couldn't be helped. Prices reflect the fact that they are really the only "chain" hotel in town. Pool is nice, sauna, and hot tub. Beds weren't comfortable, breakfast is way too packed. Staff was friendly. Air conditioners in the room are about as loud as a 747 landing with was lovely to wake up to every time it clicked on, and the sheets felt like the hard runway they land on. Cookies and coffee were a nice welcome in the lobby. Rooms are basic, not upgraded like other locations but they can get away with it because they are the only game in town other than motels and mom and pops. Internet is slow which stinks because the cell signal isn't great so you rely on it. Constantly disconnects you. 2 stars because at the end of the day it's a hotel for rest and it is wasn't really possible with the comfort of the bed and the noise. read more

An excellent Hampton Inn. Really I have never stayed in a bad one. But I can confirm that this one is outstanding. Very clean, quiet , well managed and well staffed. People paying attention to the details. The evening reception the night I arrived with hot tasty food was a very welcome touch. As was the iced tea pitcher and lemons. The fact that there is a major top notch supermarket (Hannaford) adjacent to the hotel , really a very very short walk on sidewalks, is a bonus (cold beer, wine, snacks, ready made sandwiches/wraps, in store bakery section , microwaveable meals) . read more

This was a very clean and comfortable Hampton. As far as what other reviewers said, they now do take Hilton Honors points, they do not play Fox news at breakfast, and we had a king size bed with a tub.
