Belts made back in the Stone Age are not hanging on racks these days. We looked at every belt in the store. Just when I was about to give up, I saw a belt that was close. The belt had a big gaudy buckle. The large buckles cowboys wear I believe. Anybody that knows Dave knows his spurs don't jingle jangle and he doesn't ride merrily along! Of course the old buckle on the old belt didn't fit. I would be asking for too much to match up items made decades apart. One of the employees asked the manager about spare buckles in the back storage room. Apparently people come inside the store and steal belts. I was at a loss for words hearing that. The manager went to the back storage room and came back with 2 buckles. Both were similar to the old buckle. Dave picked a buckle and off to the register we went.
