Ris from the shoe department was very kind and helpful, and went above and beyond to help us find dress shoes for our son.

There is a place where in the summer children run in and out of the water playing nicely together while adults have a seat. There are many different types of retail stores here. Of the list of items with "Check!" only 6 remain. BSTC seemed to have it all! Huntsville was really moving up in the world! I've been here too many times to count. It is great that the parking was expanded with Phase 3 in 2013 to the detriment of the 10-acre lake that was filled in to accommodate the new parking garage and Belk department store. The parking was sorely needed! This is not my go to shopping center. It is my go-to happy hour destination and moderate dining at Connor's [my last remaining favorite BS restaurant]. To me, it is overrun with franchises, as nearly all of Huntsville is! And, being outdoor, it's subject to the weather! Bring a small umbrella if in doubt, you'll thank me later! Also, know there is underground parking on the south end and 2-3 story parking at Belk close to Connors. Do visit BSTC, it's nice that they have a Ferris wheel, and I believe some type of boats available on the far east side, and it's dog friendly in the shopping common area where you'll see plenty of folks with their 4-legged family member.

Each time we come here the store seems spotless and well run. Kudos to the management. My wife purchased two pair of shoes and really enjoyed the service! Now...let's talk about those prices.

I don't typically shop in-person, but I had this idea that we might get help with sizing and understanding of the difference between the brands if we went in-person. Maybe there was SOME reason to still make the hike out to a box store, as opposed to buying on Amazon. Well, after waiting 20-30 minutes, trying on the display shoes, no staff in sight, and my 4-year-old begging to leave - I had no choice but to help myself.... In hindsight, yes, I should have just left and taken my business elsewhere, but my son already picked out a toy...so, I was pretty set on getting him shoes, a toy, and heading out. Anyway, after trying on all of the display shoes that I could find, I finally went into the back to grab several pairs of shoes so I could start fitting my child/hopefully complete my purchase. I was balancing six or seven boxes and organizing them for my son to start trying on when two staff arrived. I was finally asked if I needed help. Ha! I said that yeah I really did need help, but I had everything I needed at the moment. So, then, one member got a real stern voice and serious look on her face to tell me customers were NOT allowed in the back room. Like I was in the wrong or did something wrong - In front of my child. I said I wasn't sure if anyone was working the area, or if it had turned into a self-serve option. (Everything else has). I explained I had been waiting for almost half an hour, and I just wanted to try on some shoes. The staff member then told me that they had not been off the floor THAT long. Again, in front of my child. Like - why are you arguing with me about the amount of time I was waiting without help?? A simple, 'I'm so sorry for the wait--let me help you from now on though, because I'm the one that should be getting things from the back FOR you' would have resolved everything. Instead, the staff chose to reprimand me, argue over irrelevant details like how long they were gone from their post (you think I WANT to go do your job), and generally make me feel extremely awkward and unwelcome. To make matters worse, they stood off to the side glaring at me as I juggled putting shoes on my kid AND putting ones that didn't work back into their boxes. Wouldn't it have been helpful to assist me in that moment? Wouldn't it be great to say, "Hey, I'm sorry we got off on the wrong foot there at first...but, can I help a mom out by putting these shoes away for you if they don't work?" For reference, I purchased $130 worth of shoes and toys from the store that day and had intended to buy multiple pairs of shoes if anyone had been proactive in helping. But, honestly, it was easier to just go to Belk.

The Heinz beans from the UK are being sold for a limited time. I purchased extra the last time I went. I was paying about $5 a can at Publix. I The other find I saw was leaf kimchi. This is gold. It tastes like your Umma made it. The regular kimchi Costco sells is sliced. I am used to slicing the fermented Napa cabbages each time versus opening a container and having pieces. This new green leaf kimchi has a great flavor. After it was opened, it started to sour which is normal. I made fried rice with it and it was great. The kimchi needs to really sour before I can make soondubu jigae. Yum! My wife and I have been Costco members for 30 years. We would not have stayed customers for so long…read moreif we had complaints about the store itself. The Huntsville store is great and the vast majority of the people that work there are helpful, with the exception of one manager by the name of Stanley. The most rude, entitled person I've ever had to deal with at any business. As long time executive members, we spend about $1000 a month at Costco and this clown accused us of trying to steal from his store. My wife needed to buy a new piece of luggage due to a unexpected business trip the very next day. Turns out her existing luggage was too big per the new airline rules. When we got to the store, there was only one piece of luggage left to buy. The box was open and it had obviously been returned by someone and put back on the shelf. We pulled it out of the box to check it and saw obvious scratches and scuffs on the luggage surface and wheels. We didn't think we should pay full price for already used and somewhat damaged goods so we asked for a manager. After several minutes of waiting, we got Stanley. We showed Stanley the damage and asked if he could take something off of the price. Stanley then laughed at us, and completely out of nowhere, accused us of damaging the product ourselves so we could get a discount. We tried to convince Stanley otherwise but he was not having it while continuing to accuse us of what could be considered criminal activity. Dumbfounded and livid at this point, we debated about what to do and ultimately we chose to buy it at full price as we needed it for early the next morning. We were treated like criminals which is something we have never felt at Costco. Stanley happened to be at the exit as the person checked our receipt. He looked right at us and laughed at us as we walked out of the store. I called a different manager the next day, explained what happened, and he refunded us half of the price we paid. We weren't even asking for half but this guy was a real manager, apologized for Stanley, and fixed the problem for us. Regardless, we are still livid about the whole situation. Stanley needs to be let go immediately. He's completely unprofessional and is a liability to your location.
