It's been a long time since I've had my hands on a remote control vehicle. I remember the cheap toy store one's I'd get for Christmas that would only last a week and then gather dust because I had lost interest in them. That is until now. I went with one of my friends, who's a big RC enthusiast, to Mild to Wild out at Arana Hills. I didn't really expect to have much of a reaction, but I tell you what, I did. It was like the awesome end of remote control. Slick looking cards for off road and street, planes, helicopters and boats, all of were of a high and expensive standard. There were cars there I was told that are for racing competitively and could go in excess of eighty kilometre's an hour. Right there and then I felt like a kid again, I wanted in. I asked the staff what should I get for a beginner and they helped guide me towards something more my level and explained the benefits and the extras I'd incur in the long run. They were awesome. I bought a SCX19 Rubicon after speaking to someone over the phone. He was great. Polite n very informative n I got back on the net and bought it on the online store. Anyway I was in town and took it up to go and have a look at the shop and what else I can spend my money on. Heaps! They were again awesome dudes. I got some insights into Quadcopters, Losi Mini Krawlers and more parts for my Rubicon. What a fantastic bunch of young men.
