It's been a long time since I've had my hands on a remote control vehicle. I remember the cheap toy store one's I'd get for Christmas that would only last a week and then gather dust because I had lost interest in them. That is until now.
I went with one of my friends, who's a big RC enthusiast, to Mild to Wild out at Arana Hills. I didn't really expect to have much of a reaction, but I tell you what, I did. It was like the awesome end of remote control. Slick looking cards for off road and street, planes, helicopters and boats, all of were of a high and expensive standard. There were cars there I was told that are for racing competitively and could go in excess of eighty kilometre's an hour.
Right there and then I felt like a kid again, I wanted in. I asked the staff what should I get for a beginner and they helped guide me towards something more my level and explained the benefits and the extras I'd incur in the long run. They were awesome.
That's when it hit me. I needed to save up. Sad panda. read more
