I was told that if I brought my vehicle, I should expect a 90-minute wait... no problem I thought. As I arrived 10 minutes or so later, I was surprised by the not so looking Tire-Rama location. My first thought was that the store had moved because the building I was looking at (from the north side) looked like a rundown mechanic shop. In any case, proceeded inside to get that oil change going. The lobby was full and the one person at the counter was on the phone. I left after the 15-minute wait made me realized that I was not even going to be greeted or for that matter, acknowledged!! I get it Jeff (guy at the counter), you were busy taking care of the guy from Darby who needed two new tires. I must suggest though Jeff, that you should have taken a moment between finishing your conversation with the Darby customer and the other two phone calls you made to order the tires from the Missoula store, but most importantly before (this is key), leaving the counter with the work order to so urgently take back to the shop; to just let me and other customers (that had already been waiting for you to finish before I even got to the counter), that you will be right with us. Not only customer service Jeff, but common sense! I heard that this location is getting new management. Good luck to the new manager! Retraining will be key! In the meantime, I will continue driving the 18 miles to the Stevensville location where Justin and his crew (previously Jon A. & crew) continue to WOW customers with basic customer service!

The next Sunday, I noticed the engine was steaming b/c the radiator cap had not been completely tightened and some coolant had squirted out. Upon hearing this, he offered to meet me on Sunday to help. I took the car in the next morning and he promptly took steps to make things right. He added coolant, did a compression check, refunded me for his labor a week before, and told me to bring it in for a complimentary oil change and service check in 5,000 miles. I was impressed with the fact that he owned up to his mistake and went out of his way to correct it and make things right. I will definitely return to Reliance for all my car repairs and servicing!

The truck also did not have a parking pawl rod and would not lock into park. Took it to M&M. They rebuilt the carburetor and returned the truck to me. The truck was running horribly, missing, stumbling. They never resolved the parking pawl issue. I took the truck back to M&M and they said they could not resolve the issue and told me I had to get my own kick down bracket and cable. They apparently had no idea how to resolve the kick down transmission issue or parking pawl rod issue. I took the truck to a great experienced mechanic in Missoula who found the points were fried, Distributor cap damaged, spark plugs damaged, spark plug wires cracked and old, they tuned the truck, hooked up the kick down cable, repaired the parking pawl rod, and the TRUCK RUNS GREAT! M&M is worthless. Had the truck at M&M two times and they could not figure out that the truck needed a simple tune up and simple transmission repair. M&M staff are very nice people, but totally inept at working on simple classic trucks.

I went down to the place, new tires that I ordered were installed. When I was paying, expecting the amount to be put into this new account, I was told that I had to pay 50% cash! Apparently, this store is not a part of Les Schwab corporate. Why didn't someone tell me that before I wasted hours? I told them to put the current tires back onto my car. Not going back!! BTW, I went across the street to TireRama, filled out a credit app, got approved for $2,500 and ordered the snow tires - they will be installed on Monday!
