The inside is just lovely... so well organized and decorated... and efficient. They have some lovely nibbles (which we sadly did not partake in) to choose from. The coffee is very tasty. Husband got the drip... light roast. I got an iced vanilla latte with coconut milk. (Their alternative milks - which are not listed on the menu board - are coconut milk and oat milk.) My latte was strong and tasty! Had me buzzing a bit and probably was not a good idea to then sit for about 2 hours in the car as I was hopped up like a spider monkey once we got out of the car in Banff. hahaha!

Only recommendation would be to change the sign out front. We have had a place in the valley for almost 10 years and drive by regularity and have seen the sign saying "loca"l but never noticed the small words "coffee house".Maybe that's a good thing for us though. There was a basket at the front with discounted bread from the previous day. It was very hard to resist because it looked delicious and was less than $2. We were headed out for a hike next so we stuck to our plan for one treat each. We were really hoping for pastries but that section of the case was empty oddly enough. My husband chose the oatmeal raisin cookie. It was way too crunchy and not much flavor unfortunately. I adore meringue and was intrigued by the unique shape of theirs so that was my choice. Perfection! My big issue with meringues are the gumminess inside the big fat ones. This design remedies that and I will be buying a piping bag and making mine this way forevermore. The chocolate dip was a nice, yummy touch as well. It's super busy on a weekend morning. This bakery has been around for quite some time. They have a big selection of baked goods; bread, buns, cakes, cookies...whatever you need. They also have a good gluten free selection, probably the best in town. There is some homemade jam and other goodies available as well. The seating area inside is very simple, but they have a nice deck outside so during the summer it must be lovely to sit there. Lots of road bikers stop here to take a break and fuel up. It is easy to find this place, it is along the main road through the town and it has a huge pretzel above the entrance.
