We just wanted to thank Milestone Montessori for being there for us during the 2025 Palisades fire incident. Our cousin's kid went to this school and asked them if our Montessori child could attend for a week or two during that time. Thankfully, they were able to accommodate us. Everyone was so sweet, welcoming, and understanding. It made such a scary and stressful period much more tolerable knowing that our child was safe, happy, and still learning & socializing. Because of the consistent Montessori method, our child was able to transition easily and make new friends. They also helped the cousins get closer with each other! We're so glad to have picked Milestones for our two sons after moving to Orange County. Our older son was first in Orange class with Ms. Darlene, and we're very grateful for that. He can have a hard time with transitions, particularly drop offs and doing work was hard for him for a while. Ms. Darlene was very patient and caring and helped him through it all, and over time he started to thrive and I know it was because of her support. Ms. Maria in Orange is also very kind and our son loves to spend time with her in PM care. In moving to Gold class, we were definitely nervous, but Ms. Darlene was there to help him through each step and make sure he was doing okay there, and I know that helped him a lot. He misses his Orange teachers, but he is also now really enjoying Gold class with Ms. Indira and Ms. Brittney. Already we can see he is getting great care and support for learning and becoming more independent and confident. Our younger son was first in Purple and now Blue class, and he has loved all of his teachers. He is happy to go to school every day and happy when he leaves. Ms. Indira, Ms. Andreas gold, white, orange, purple, and blue. All of these are the classrooms that both of my children (now 3 and 6) have grown up in. They spent 6-8 hours in these classrooms 5 days a week, so to say these teachers, staff, and facilities at MMI had an impact on my children is an understatement. We love this school because the staff is all very caring, loves their jobs, loves your children, and that is really all that I can ask for. Not only has my children accelerated in reading and comprehension, they grew socially and in thinking about their environment. I highly recommend this preschool for anyone wanting quality childcare and education for their children. My son was 2 years old when he started going and we were extremely happy with his care after having a not-so-great experience with an in-home daycare prior. He ended up being in the white class with Ms. Bhavna for the majority of his time there. She was so kind, caring, and patient with our little boy, treating him as if he was her own child. Both of my kids go here and we love it. The kids come home happy and they have learned so much. Miss Bhavna and Miss Maria really prepared my oldest for kindergarten. My son went to this school for a few years and had an incredible experience. His teacher Mrs. Bhavna was extremely kind and caring. My son was not the easiest child to take care of, but Mrs. Bhavna was constantly working with us to improve his behavior. I have 2 kids here (2.5yrs and 10 months) and they/ we LOVE this school. We've been here for about a year with my son and added my daughter a few months ago. 1. The campus. We toured at least 10 schools, and even in the nicest/most expensive the classrooms felt so cramped and dark. There is so much space here and natural light. And it's super clean and well-stocked. We also love the covered outdoor areas for the younger kids 2. The teachers. Both my kids love their teachers and are well bonded. My son constantly talks about "going back to school" and references his teachers on the weekends. 3. The staff. Everyone is so friendly and knows every kid by name. There are great touches (like , the school iguana) or the book fairs, extra curriculars, etc. and it's secure. When we have family pick the kids up the staff immediately recognizes them as someone new and everyone has a unique passcode 4. The curriculum. My kids are young but they're learning so much. My 2.5yr old knows his abcs, can count to 15, and regularly comes home with new facts - like naming all the planets. We're grateful to have found this school. read more

Both of our children started preschool at Milestones at age 2. They have both grown academically and emotionally by leaps and bounds. The facility is quite grand for a Montessori. The support staff, comprised of Ms. Beth, Ms. Lauren and Ms. Kristel is fantastic. Even more amazing is Mrs. Badar (Mrs. B). Our son was in Mrs. B's 'Orange Room' for a good year and a half and our daughter has been in her class for a year now. She is an exceptional teacher who calmly guides her students as they advance in their development. She is kind, caring and nurturing, but at the same time she demonstrates the discipline and structure young children need. Mrs. B is detail oriented, proper, polite and eloquently spoken. Our son really enjoyed her instruction and our daughter absolutely loves her. Our daughter joined the school's Pink Classroom (the classroom for infants younger than one year old) when she was 4 months and we are taking her out this month because we are moving to northern California. The Pink room's head teacher, Ms. Christine, is an exceptional teacher and caretaker for all the babies in the room. She is so warm and caring and knows how to take care of all types of babies. She has done a wonderful job training her assistant teachers so that the babies are in capable hands at all times of the day. Ms. Christine is also a great advisor to new parents and gives parents tips on how to calm, feed and develop our children. She even goes out of her way to make artwork for the parents on holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas and Valentines Day. There are not enough great things I can say about MMI, the teachers and the staff. My daughter started at their dual immersion class and eventually moved to gold class with Ms Indira whom I LOVE! She is not yet 5 and can read at 1st grade level (probably higher). I'm continually amazed at how much she learns and has improved. Within the short amount of time she has been with Ms indira she has learned to write, spell, and even knows simple math (addition, subtraction, division). My son is in Ms Britney's class and again I am amazed. He is not easy but Ms Britney helped us transition him into preschool with such patience and ease! The staff at MMI make you feel so welcome and always make you feel like each one of them knows and cares about your child. I know in the past two years dealing with Covid has not been easy, but the staff (Ms Lauren, Ms Beth, and Ms Kristel) have handled the ups and downs like pros, never once letting on to the immense stress they must be feeling!! A year ago I started the search for a school for my young daughter to attend. I toured 12 schools but once I walked in to MM, I knew my search was over. I fell in love with the clean, organized, spacious property and classrooms. There are two different parking lots on either end of the school and there is plenty of parking during peak pickup/ drop off hours. There is a very large fish tank when entering the premises. My lo loves visiting it each morning upon entering the school. Once you pass the sign in area there is a second secure entrance to a large atrium / library. My lo also loves stopping in here to play with puzzles or borrow a book off the shelf when we leave school. My daughter is in a room for 2/3 yo and she loves her teachers and classmates. She comes home with adorable art projects every week. The classrooms are large as is the covered outdoor playground and the uncovered area. There is also a sweet little garden outside that the children get to help with. Parents provide the lunches which I love because we have food restrictions and I can also gage how much of her food she eats. They also completely potty trained my lo! I am forever grateful as I don't know if it would have happened so smoothly had I been left to do it on my own. There are extra classes you can enroll your child in such as ballet and soccer. The administrative staff are all very friendly and attentive to any concerns or issues you may have. As far as the Montessori method, I think it's too early to tell the benefits but I do see my daughter tracing letters already and she is very independent. I'll mention again the cleanliness and order of the school. We've been on a waiting list for a very popular play based school but once I got the call for it I decided to stay with MM because of this. My son started going to Milestones when he was 18 months old--which was a little over 4 years ago, he started in the transitional kinder, moved to pre-k and just graduated from Kindergarten last Saturday. To say the least this school has been wonderful to our family, we decided to enroll our daughter here too. The admin staff are so friendly and helpful--Ms. Kristel, Ms. Beth, Ms. Lauren have all been so wonderful! The teachers and assistants were amazing with our kids all were amazing and nurturing just to name a few Ms. Emily, Ms. B, Ms. Maneet, Ms. Jackie, Ms. Beth, and of course the amazing elementary teachers Ms. Indira and Ms. Jennifer. When the kids come home and we're surprised by how much they know, how much their penmanship has progressed and the reading and math skills kind of blindsided us. Seriously, we had to google some of the stuff they were talking about. Highly recommend this school, and we were so thankful we found such a great place for our kids to be and learn. We took our son to Milestone in Fall 2019 with the context that we had just moved from Chicago where we were very happy with the the woman who cared for him from 3mo. to 3yrs old. Prior to coming to Milestones, we originally had him enrolled at Irvine Montessori (Cartwright location) and it was an awful experience which really helped us see how great MMI has been. Milestones has great teachers and wonderful campus for kids to learn and enjoy themselves. The playground is sizable and covered, but still outside. The facility has great security measures with very organized checking in and checking out, but the staff and other families are warm and welcoming. The kids have opportunities for extra curricular activities such as soccer and dance. The kids do a Holiday show and the school has cool, seasonal backgrounds set up where you can take photos of your child before and after school. They do charity drives and book buys. Class options include Mandarin and Spanish immersion. Our son was in a Spanish immersion classroom, but we did not feel it was a truly immersive experience. Our son was with a Spanish speaking caretaker for three years, and now he refuses to speak Spanish. He tells us that people at school do not speak Spanish. this is low on our priority list for school, but it's an expectation you should have or explore further if it's a priority for you. COVID-19: Kudos to MMI who we feel has handled the COVID situation very well. Like with all schools, there was a period of closure since no one really knew what to do. Our son was out of school for four months, but we managed despite being two FT working parents. MMI reopened in the summer of 2020 and did a great job of communicating with parents (they use BLOOMZ) and putting measures in place for safest environment possible, while still allowing kids to be kids. All staff wears masks at all times. Masks are optional for children. Temperatures are taken each morning. Only on parent may come inside for drop off and pick up and we can only go to check in desk and not to classrooms as we did before. There was only one circumstance of a staff member being COVID compromised and the school communicated the information to everyone right away. I recommend Milestone Montessori. Our son seems to really enjoy it. read more

Ms. Bhavna is a blessing to our family. We started with MMI when my first son was 10 months old. We loved the facility - the big open atrium, garden, numerous playgrounds including a covered one for rainy days - it was the best facility we toured. The initial years were good - great caring teachers, clean facility, but my son was too young to really notice. When my second son was born, my first, 2.5 years at that time, had a hard time with the transition. He was struggling to understand his emotions and figuring out how to deal with them. A few months later he moved up to Ms. Bhavna's class and things changed. I was nervous and gave her all kinds of background info about the new baby and changes in our family, which she listened to and assured me in her calm and confident voice that she understood and would be mindful of. Over the next 2 years my son transformed - he was nurtured and listened to and coached to express his emotions. He made great friends, learned a ton and enjoyed being at school! Two years ago my youngest went to Ms Bhavna's class. He had not been in a Montessori environment before and he joined the class during Covid. Despite all the uncertainty and precautions that we needed to take, Ms. Bhavna was able to create the same enriching experience for him and kept in touch with us with videos through the school's app or via notes sent home in his lunchbox. Both my boys learned to read and initial math skills from Ms Bhavna. Both have excelled in their assessments when entering elementary school. Sent my son when he was around 2.5 years old. Regret not keeping him there. We switched over to Great Foundation (GFM) once it opened (on Kensington ) as it was little closer to our house. The teachers and administrators at Milestones were all so competent , professional, compassionate, sweet, and nice. Didn't realize how hard it is to find that. Never had any issues with high turnover in staff, other students, and administrators. But Ms Jennifer at GFM was the only reason we kept him there til he started Elementary. read more

Math was ok cuz she didn't have a huge montessori material. This did help in teaching her common core but is disappointing expecting a Montessori experience. I thoroughly enjoyed having my son attend Milestones Montessori. We started our son here after having tried many other options, some of which were even more expensive, and never really liked any of them. Our son adapted quickly and ended up much happier here than at his previous school. And as a parent, I had a great sense of comfort as well. Miss Indira runs the Gold room for the kindergarten through 2nd grade kids, and our son loved being in her room for two years. She and Miss Jennifer always did a great job not only teaching, but also caring for all the kids. Our son grew in confidence and made lots of friends. It is clean and they have tons of fun activities for kids and parents year round, especially around all holidays. There are so many nice reviews I really wanted to tour, but I have a complicated schedule and kept asking if there was ANY other day than what they consider is their "touring days and times" and all the way through the director, the answer was just no. It is unfortunate that, even on such a small issue as scheduling a tour, there aren't allowances made for parents who have to work and can't do 10:30am on Monday or Tuesday. My daughter has been going here for about 3 years and my son for almost 2 years. The teachers seem sweet and caring, but I think more can be done academically. My daughter is 5 and she tells me that she does not practice math at school. She's in pre-k. We do math worksheets at home, so she understands the concept. They practice writing though. The building is big, but looks like it needs to be refreshed and updated. Also, they will charge you $20 if you pick up or drop off one minute early or late. I would agree to being charged for a pro rata share for their time but $20 per kid for accidentally dropping off my kids 2 minutes early is excessive in my opinion. As you all know it's very hard for parents to send a young baby to a daycare. The thought of handing her over to strangers every day to spend most of the day with them made me feel so guilty and uncomfortable. During her first week at Milestone I became very observant to make sure I made the right choice.I observed how teachers greet babies during drop off, how they feed them, how they interact with them, and how they send them home at pick up. One thing I noticed is that that there's a teacher there who would kiss and converse with the babies during "exchange" between her and the parents. On my second day of pick up the same teacher went up to me mentioning that my baby spits up a lot and it could be acid reflux. So she advised of a feeding trick to lessen the spit up and make it more comfortable for my baby during feeding. Later that week I told my pediatrician about this and she confirmed and agreed with the teacher's advice, which I am so grateful for. Many times this teacher would tell me on my way out from drop off to not worry about my child (maybe because she could sense my fear) - and this actually gives me comfort on a daily basis as I drive away to work. I also appreciate this teacher's recommendation of the use of teething toy when she fusses instead of a pacifier which is the other teacher's recommendation. (I personally do not like pacifier because I have seen babies/toddles get too attached to it to that point that they would cry every time it falls out of their mouth especially in the middle of the night). Now she has multiple teething toys to play with :) This teacher is no other than Miss Christine. She truly cares for the babies in the Pink Room. Because of her I feel very comfortable now leaving my baby to Milestone because I know there's Miss Christine to look after her and give her much love and attention, genuinely! Seriously I wish every daycare would have someone like her so parents like me can spend their day at work not stressing out or worrying about their babies left daycare!!! Milestones Montessori is by far the most organized, most hygienic, most well-lit, and nicest daycare I have ever been to. (BTW, I have toured nearby Kiddie Academy, Kinder Care, and other Montessori schools). I highly recommend this school. read more

Wonderful facility and when we first took the tour, we looked at several other schools before deciding on this one. Actually, our son was with us during all of our school visits, and he chose Milestone over all others. Guess what? He was right. Our son has been with us due to covid so the separation anxiety was at a peak. We could only pray that he would adjust after several weeks, but we were amazed to how quickly he changed and grew after 3 weeks now. No tricks here, we quickly realized that his teacher was a Godsend. Ms. Indira deserves our utmost thanks and appreciation, and turned what we thought to be impossible into a miracle in 3 days. Our son quickly adapted and is now attached to his teacher, and although still a bit anxious and nervous going to school, he has never once said he does not or will not go to school. Great school! My son and daughter have been here since they were a year old and their development has been amazing. My son just graduated Kindergarten and is reading level 2 books. He's able to write sentences and do addition and subtraction. He's also learning about peacemakers and how to make a difference in the world and local community. Kudos to Ms. Indiria for instilling discipline in him. Also like to thank Ms. Jackie for playing a major role in the development of both my kids. She has the tough task of transitional class. My toddler has been going here for a few weeks now, and she gets excited every time we get close! The teachers take good care of her, provide us with updates any time we call, send her home with a daily report, and are always very kind and caring. Update: toddler is now 3, and has been regularly attending since our first review. The Montessori has helped encourage her development SO MUCH. My daughter attended milestone for almost 2 years and recently graduated from Gold class. Our experience has been beyond amazing esp because of Ms Indira! Our daughter loved Ms Indira who made my daughter look forward to going to class and enjoyed learning always. Ms Indira worked one on one with my daughter and puts so much effort to create well rounded children. My daughter achieved so much confidence, and developed such a great personality. The academic achievements in arts, writing, mathematics, sciences and various other subjects are well above par! Enrolling my child at milestone was the best investment I've made so far for my daughter's future. I cannot thank Ms Indira enough for all her hard work and high level of expertise. Also, a salute to all other teachers who assist Ms Indira, as well as Ms Kate for her guidance and professionalism. Apart from great teachers, this school is a beautiful facility (as it is a brand new building) and most importantly, it's at a safe location and extremely hygienic.
