We've been part of the Tutor Time family since my daughter was about 5 months old until she was about 2.5 years and we've truly loved every stage of her journey here. From the infant room to early preschool, every teacher has shown so much care, patience, and dedication. Our son is now attending, and it already feels like a second home for him too. As a mother who was anxious about his bottle feeding, I'm so grateful for the patience and understanding the teachers have shown. Ms. Cynthia, Ms. Nadia, Ms. Suez, and Ms. Bea have been incredibly supportive and nurturing, helping him adjust and making me feel reassured that he is eating throughout the day. We love how every teacher invests in our children's growth- emotionally, socially, and academically. The front staff (Cynthia, Jennifer, and Deepal) are always welcoming, organized, and helpful. Each classroom has been a wonderful experience: Infants: Ms. Nadia, Ms. Suez, and Ms. Bea are so nurturing and gentle. They also take the cutest photos and will sometimes do cute activities with the little ones. Toddlers: Ms. Afsie, Ms. Hoda, Ms. Elizabeth, and Ms. Allison has helped our daughter discover a love for circle time, books, and music. Twos: Ms. Nasima encouraged her to try new foods, enjoy creative crafts, and led lots of fun physical activities. She also took care of potty training which was a lifesaver! Early Preschool: Ms. Rena has brought learning to life with songs, dancing, alphabet lessons, and teaching the days and months of the year. She also has picnic days during the summer, which my daughter would always talk about. She would bring home the cutest crafts which are displayed throughout the home. Tutor Time also makes things so easy for parents. From the toddler class onward, they provide meals, snacks, and even diapers, which is such a huge help. They also offer camera access and a parent app that makes it simple to communicate with teachers and stay updated throughout the day -- such a thoughtful touch for busy parents! I apologize if I missed any other teachers who have been a part of my child's academic and personal growth. We truly appreciate every one of you! We have been with Tutor Time for 5 years with our 2 boys. My older son started in the toddler room and my younger one started out in infants. Shout out to Ms. Nadia (infants), Ms. Afsi (toddler), Ms. Nasima (twos) and Ms. Rena (early preschool). The teachers are all very caring and take care of the kids like their own. My boys are always having a good time and and were very well prepared for kindergarten. The SproutAbout app is very helpful with food, potty, and sleeping updates and pictures/videos. There is also a livestream camera in each classroom. They provide morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack but you can also pack your own. I think the tuition might be higher than other places but they do partner with some big companies with a discount code. read more

Our family has had such a wonderful experience here. We have had two littles attend, starting at 12 weeks old up through preschool. From the very beginning, Ms. Nadia (and Ms. Suez who later joined) went above and beyond to make us feel like our children were safe, loved, and nurtured like family. Importantly, though, they made us - the parents - feel like family too. We came to find that this warmth, patience and genuine care reverberates through the entire staff and teachers. Each time our child graduated to a new classroom, we felt the same comfort - like we belonged there. Before you consider trusting this place with your child, please do your research and read up on all the citations and violations they have received in the last couple of months. Violating children's rights as well as always being off ratio. They are always understaffed and neglect the kids. My toddler came home several times with diaper rashes. You can look up the citations at www.cdss.ca.gov they are also legally responsible to disclose all type A citations to new incoming families. read more

My son (3y, 8 m) is here for the summer camp only, and our experience has been wonderful. Due to language barrier, I was worried about whether my son can fit in and adjust into this new environment. His teacher, Miss Erica and the leadership team made everything so easy for him. I was in the classroom to stand by and watch in the first two days (in case my son needs any translation). Miss Erica has excellent teaching skills and she has such a loving heart. I can tell that she loves her students very much. I also love the way she communicates with the kids. My son has been attending tutor time since he was 2 yo. It's been a year - he's transitioned from Twos to Early Preschool. We've been very happy with the school, teachers, and administration. He's successfully potty trained thanks to his teachers. Everyone who works there knows my sons name and says hello, even if they aren't his teacher. Seems like they make an effort to memorize every kids name. The camera access is so great to see how much fun your child is having at school. DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS HERE! The staff did not care at all numerous times when there was a bad behavior kid in the class that was hitting my kid almost every day. Numerous teachers did nothing to stop it, even when watching during it. There is a live feed camera, we were watching the kid beat our kid numerous times on numerous occasions and the teachers did NOTHING. Also when I told the Director Dana, she told me something like "this is a preschool kids will fight" yea right, one kid was beating up my kid repeatedly and she didn't want to do nothing, her attitude was deal with it. I don't typically write review at yelp but this time I have to because I had the worst experience with Tutor Time. If I can, I want to give 0 star. The fact that they lost our work papers speaks a great volume of how unprofessional they are and how messy the system is. We used Tutor Time for backup care for our daughter. We made reservation through Bright Horizon (backup care program from my husband's employee) We came there for the first time on 10/6/17. We completed the work papers and had no issue. The assistant director even said that now they have our work papers we can just made reservation through bright horizon and drop my daughter off. When we came for the 2nd time on 12/13/17, they said they don't have any record of my daughter has ever been there and have no record of pick up and drop off signature, or any billing record. And they basically just asked me to re-do pages of work papers that we have submitted before. The fact that they lost our work papers and lied by saying it was a no show really pissed me off and I don't think I should trust my daughter with a center like this. I have a photo of my daughter in their center so it's a matter of fact that I dropped and picked her up, we completed our work paper, and followed the drop off and sign in procedures. Otherwise how did we get admitted at the first place? So you let someone dropped off and picked up without signature? Which makes me really questioning the integrity of this place And when they said, they don't have any billing record. Oh really? So you let my daughter stay there for free? How nice I don't know how was the payment arrangement between bright horizon and tutor time,all i know my backup care quota has been deducted. I was also not pleased with the attitude of the director and the assistant director, instead of trying to be helpful and offering to look for our work papers they just told me they couldn't find it and asked me to complete a new one. Basically they don't even care to help. What's really bothering me was they kept telling me lies that it was a no show. What a mess and waste of time. read more

Both of my kids have been attending tutor time for years and I will be sad when the day comes that they are too old to go. We have loved it here. The teachers and administration have been wonderful. Both of our kids have persistent illnesses & the Tutor Time team always administers their meds and keeps us updated. The teachers here really prepped my daughter for kindergarten & 1st grade and now she is in before/after care and loves it. My son started in infant room and is currently in Ms. Jasmine's room and he doesn't want to leave school when I come to pick him up - that's how much he likes it. It is great to hear what he's learning to prep him for kinder too. The school also has a really fun summer camp and they do events with the families throughout the year. It's another year my son spent in Tutor Time. I couldn't be more thankful for all the love we received from school. Every day we meet with all nice teachers in the front - Ms Cynthia, Ms Linda, Ms Stacy. Ms Dana, the school director, always greets us with a big smile. They know all students' names and pay attention to all details. He was well taken care of by all teachers at school - Ms Olive and Ms Nadia in the Infant Room, Ms Grace; Ms Fifi, Ms. Afsie, and Ms Adrianne in the Toddler Room; Ms. Nasima and Ms Evelyn in Twos. My son has just moved to the early Pre-school. I am sure he's going to have a great time with Ms. Jennifer and Ms Kakali and learn a lot in the new classroom. All the teachers are extremely friendly and we have no worry at all as parents. Not only he has grown in school, he also makes good friends. They share toys, they study and they play together. It is so lovely to see them grow up together. I will highly recommend Tutor Time Irvine to any parents. read more

Do not send your child here if you care about their mental and emotional well being. They lack compassion and common decency. While I will say there were some professional staff members that I felt I could trust, as a whole, this daycare needs a serious revamping. Starting with terminating the emotionally abusive teachers. One Indian teacher in particular was pure evil. (Note: The only reason I bring up ethnicity is for her to be identified. Maybe other parents have had a similar experience with her. Or will think twice before leaving their child in her care.) This teacher yelled at my daughter because she was crying when I dropped her off and my daughter was missing me. Rather than comfort my child, as I would hope any teacher would, she yelled at her and said she was "drama". UNACCEPTABLE. Now here's where it gets worse. My daughter had a wet accident while she was napping. Mind you, this was during the potty training transitional phase. This teacher yelled at her in front of the class and shamed her. Imagine my outrage. What kind of a person does this?!!! Children deserve respect and compassion. This environment provides neither and actually provides the opposite. I would not trust your children with these people. I regret exposing my child to this treatment. I write this review to help others. read more

We went to 2 other day cares in the area before we met Mrs Dana and Mrs Cinthia in Tutor Time. We've had struggle finding a day care where my 3 yr old felt happy and loved. My boy changed completely opening up to others and today he just loves to go to school everyday. Tutor Time, its way of education and it's wonderful teachers have help repair the damage other schools and its poor education style did to my son's self esteem. read more

We recently moved to Irvine from Palo Alto and enrolled our 4 y.o. daughter at this Tutor Time. The school is very clean. The teachers and administrators are friendly, attentive and available to parents. They are approachable and genuine. The curriculum is organized and standardized across classrooms of the same grade and across centers, which is unusual. Typically at daycare centers, the head teachers create the curriculumand there is no effort to standardize across grades. The tuition includes lunch and snacks which I absolutely love. No more lunchboxes smelling of sour spilled milk, and no more washing tiny little plastic containers every night. A monthly menu is provided each month to the parents, and it is very well thought out. They use a wide range of veggies and fruits so the children aren't eating the same thing every week. Pasta is served only once a week. They won't serve bananas, cheese and yogurt on the same day so your child is constipated the rest of the week! (Don't laugh. That actually happened at a previous daycare.) One other observation that I give them kudos for is that they promote and encourage independence in children. For example, at our other daycare, the children weren't allowed to pour their own milk or juice. Here at Tutor Time, the kids are required to pour their drink. When I've been in the classroom, the children are respected and taught that there opinions matter. This may seem trite, but how often do you see teachers or even adult relatives speak down to your children. It happens all the time. As a mother, I want my child to know that they can express their views and opinions and that it is valued. I think Tutor Time shares in this philosophy. And finally, the school is very international with most of the families being from Asian countries. Several of the children speak two languages. I find this to be a plus. However, if you are uncomfortable in this type of multicultural setting, then this school is not for you. read more

Please don't send your kids here. It's not just the classrooms that I thought was stinky but also the staff member's attitude is even more vile. The classrooms have a terrible stuffy mildew odor which to my surprise was confronted with staff member saying that 'you're the only one that smells it.' I spoke to other parents about the stench and they all agreed that there is an odor. Staff members quickly changed their attitude once a good amount of parents complained. But nothing was done about it. Maybe the staff is used to the stench. They also said 'if you do not want your child at our place, you can keep them at your home instead.' Which is true but very disrespectful. The thing is when I see a problem the first thing that I have to do is talk to the center, right? This 'school' is one of the few that accepts short-term as I work full-time and have little to no time to discuss these issues which should not even be issues to begin with. The second thing I was disappointed about was that their teaching assistants were very unprofessional in the way they speak to children. Here's what happened: my kid brought a toy to share on Friday, and my daughter was so excited to show her toy to her friends that she brought outside play during play time. The teaching assistant came out and pointed at my daughter and said 'no, no, no, no, you put it back in the classroom.' I thought her approach was unprofessional. How about the staff be a little more caring and empathetic to these children. As an adult using correct verbiage goes a long way. I'm not perfect but speaking to a child in a manner such as ' this is so beautiful and thank you for you share. But this is not the time to bring your toy out here but when we do have share time let's do it then. That's a great toy but let's show our friends later at a better time.' Simple change of words can make or break a child. They are just children. This school is very unprofessional, do not send your children here, there are many options for the same price. Send your children here if you want to bathe your child immediately after they come home from this 'school'. read more

Both my kids attended Tutor Time from June 2018 to June 2020. Since my daughter started kindergarten at Hicks Canyon we have moved on, but my kids enjoyed every moment here. Both of my boys have been attending this center for a year now. My husband and I have been very impressed with how much our boys have learned and grown. Before our youngest boy started, he was home with me for 2 years. When I decided to go back to work, we knew it would be a difficult transition for him. The first week was hard and the teachers, Ms. N. AND Ms. S, gave him so much love and attention! They gave me daily updates on how well he was progressing. It was a relief to know they cared so much. In no time, he was happy to be at school and didn't cry when I left him. In all my time here, I have never seen the kids teased, called names, or harmed in any other way by the staff. The staff are friendly and inviting. They take time to communicate anything about my boys throughout the day. Many parents I've spoken with are happy to have their children here. My kids, and many others, are thriving because these teachers show they care and love these kids everyday! read more

2 years ago, after checking several daycare options in person in Irvine we decided to bring our son to this Tutor Time. The differentiator for us was the attitude and demeanor of the staff, which was caring and authentic from the start. It really starts at the top with the director, Dana. She is always positive and makes our whole family feel valued and welcome, which I think rubs off on everyone else on their staff. Our son is 2 1/2 now, and we have been very happy with his development. He often surprises us with what he knows, which we know is coming from Tutor Time. And Sima in the "Two's" room has been instrumental in getting our son potty-trained. We love this Tutor Time, we feel like we great value for our money, and would recommend this location to anyone. read more

My son has been attending for just over a year and we have had good experiences this far. The staff is responsive and friendly and I love that they all know my son's name. We started our journey at Tutor time with my First daughter, she was there for almost 6 years. I had the best of experience with them. I went back to Tutor time when my 2nd daughter was born. She started there when she was 3 months old. She is 21 months old now. She is in toddler room. She is very happy and have adjusted so well. All the teachers are just so amazing, loving and caring. They handle kids with lots of love and care and pay extra attention to things that you mention to them. They are extremely accommodating. Miss Elizabeth is very sweet and kind and always willing to go an extra mile to help you. I love both their apps - Brightwheel and WatchMeGrow. You know exactly what your kids are doing and you can see them live too! What a blessings! They are always on top of their communication. Today is the 1st school day after Christmas holiday. After I left my son in the classroom (PreK1), I was watching the realtime video for more the 10 mins. In the video, my son was crying badly in the corner all the time, but the lady teacher in PreK1 (DeeXXX) was sitting far away from all the 4 kids and working on her computer by herself. SHE NEVER TRIED ANY EFFORT TO COMFORT A CRYING KID, and there were ONLY 4 kids (including my son) in the classroom. I was so upset by watching all this happen to my son. Sure enough, I complained to the administrator. She went in the room and talked to my son and he calmed down a little bit. Then Miss Jasmine came in and held his hand, tried to comfort him. He started to come down. Thank you Miss Jasmine!! However, I don't feel comfortable by seeing all this. I think more Love and Humanity should be show to all the kids. read more

Being away from my child all day is always tough but watching my child break out into a big smile and run eagerly into the arms of Miss Olive and Miss Nadia every morning made life a bit easier. They ran a joyful classroom, tailoring to the needs of each child in order to encourage them to grow and learn at their own pace and shaping their little personalities and learning journey. I am indebted to Miss Nadia for always juggling everything to maintain a myriad of schedules while coordinating care, Miss Olive for her creativity and educational focus and am thankful that my child loved their teachers so much, it certainly put this mother's heart more at ease every day. My son attended this school for 7 months and then we moved to another state. We loved this place. Ms Danielle and Ms Nassima were awesome teachers. They were so loving. My son hugged them all the time. And manager Ms Dana was so professional. She was the reason I decided for this school at the beginning. She knows all the kids by their name. She knows what is going on each classroom and she is hands on all the time. School has a few playgrounds, a nice and clean environment. And the food they serve is hethy and fresh. My son has been going to Irvine Tutor Time since he was a baby. We have always liked the school, teachers, and staff. My son has learned so much including academics and socialization. I think their curriculum is very strong, especially the Pre-K-B class. My son is able to write, loves books, learned sign language, and knows his sight words in Pre K-B. I feel they have prepared him well for kindergarten. Most of the teachers have college degrees, including some with Masters degrees. They also bring in other vendors that do karate, soccer, dance, etc. So its nice to not have to run around for the extra classes and have the vendors come directly to the school. They have an annual Halloween costume party, holiday performance, and many other parties and an annual open house and family gathering. I've been pretty close to all the teachers and they have all treated my son well. The cook is also great and I feel she provides many healthy options. The Administrators are all great as well. Although the Director may come off as strict and not as social, she's just doing her job to ensure they are always in compliance so she has to be focused upon the business aspects. The Assistant Director knows every child's name and is so nice and the Administrator is wonderful as well. I feel very comfortable having my child there and trust them. We've never had a problem there and if we did, I feel that the teachers and administrators would listen. I do know that a few parents have had some issues, but for the most part, it always seems like the Director and staff are trying to ensure the best possible environment for the kids and do listen to the parents' concerns. We have had nothing but a great experience at this school and my son has been there for about 5 years now. I would recommend them. read more

We first toured Tutor Time while I was pregnant last spring in hopes we could get our daughter in for October when I would have to go back to work. My husband and I fell in love, we felt it was the perfect spot! About 2 weeks prior to my daughter starting we did a practice day and realized the environment in the infant area was not what we thought. One teacher called a baby lazy and teased another with food. I called the next day to say we would not be sending our daughter there and I would like our $150.00 deposit back. They obliged, but said it would take a few weeks to receive. I called back again in December to say we still had not received our check and Dana, the director, said it must not have been processed when the previous director retired. Fine, a little annoying, but I understood. February come and still NO CHECK, I call on 2/11 and it's now been processed, but Dana tells me it will be another few weeks! If I hadn't paid my daycare fees on fine surely my daughter would have been kicked out, but it's ok for them to take months to send me my deposit. Horrible teachers and horrible staff. Please don't send your children here, we found a much better day care for $500.00 less per month. read more

My son was here for a year and when they moved him to the twaddler room he started crying every day and he was scared, they said that it was normal because he missed his old classroom but he had never cried before. I started picking him up earlier to see what was going on and the teacher was REALLY MEAN! Putting food in kids mo even if the didn't want to, telling them: DRAMA DRAMA!! I am Not happy!!!she didn't care doing it in front of me. So I decided to take him out of that place and he is happy since day ONE at a new school mew teachers and friends!
