She was willing to screen an applicant I met on care.com to ensure she was truly qualified and reliable. 4. She knows a LOT about being and hiring a nanny. For a first time mom going back to work and scared out of her mind about leaving her baby with a nanny, her knowledge was SO helpful and comforting. 5. The rates are reasonable and most importantly flat. Some of the other places we looked at charge a crazy ridiculous fee and their use of a % of total salary made me feel as if they were only sending me candidates at the top of my scale because they wanted a bigger referral check. We were terminated because this daycare doesn't want to be held accountable for their treatment of…read morechildren and families during COVID. Their staff are not required to wear masks, even the infant and toddler rooms. This is the email I sent and as a result, we were removed for: "For a second time (in two months), due to actions of your staff, my child's classroom is closed. As your staff continues to test positive for COVID, my husband and I have to take off from work. We placed Amari in daycare because we have jobs. It doesn't make much sense to send her to daycare when we continue to need to stay home with her. What's worse is we are expected to pay full tuition on weeks she is not there full time. Where is the logic? I am home changing diapers, preparing food, keeping her occupied and losing money from my place of work while I continue to fund yours for doing NOTHING. I expect that there will be some reimbursement for parents who are losing time and money as a result of your reckless staff. Either our tuition should be prorated for such weeks or additional vacation days should be given. I was told that there would be a conversation with the owner, however, after almost two years in a pandemic, there should be something in place. If you're not going to ensure our babies are safe, you could at least stop robbing us at the same time."

Long story short, I am on active duty and mom is a disabled vet herself with 2 kids and we were…read moreinvolved in a very serious car accident (vehicle rolled multiple times type serious) and mom was severely injured from it (paralyzed). My daughter suffers from serious anxiety brought on from the accident (mind you she was three when it occurred) and had just turned 4 when we enrolled her at this daycare. During this time her anxiety finally started surfacing and as a fresh 4 year old she doesn't know how to handle it and it comes out as to be expected for a 4 year old. I don't say that to be used as an excuse for her behavior but it at least gives understanding as to why she began acting out.m, she was being triggered and didn't know how to handle those triggers. As good parents should, we informed them that she is suffering from anxiety once we understood what was going on and we told them we are trying to find ways to help her. To clarify, before the anxiety, my daughter was never a problem child in daycare, never been called about being upset, mean, or violent towards any other child or staff. The last straw for me was a situation I had no control over whatsoever. After a couple of weeks of trying to work with them to help find a way to get my daughter situated because they kept making comments like, "maybe this isn't the right daycare for your daughter," I pretty much was asking them to help us figure out something before you try and kick my daughter out because kicking her out isn't the answer nor is expecting her to transition to a third day care within 6 months going to help the matter. During this time mom was out of town up in Cleveland getting fitted for her power chair when one morning she had a significant health scare that would hospitalize her for a month, the same morning I was supposed to have a meeting with the staff to discuss options for my daughter. So I had to get on the road that morning to go see her and when I dropped my daughter off I explained to them what had happened and her grandparents would be picking her up and asked them to revisit the meeting when I returned and to hold off on doing anything with my daughter (such as kicking her out). That same morning driving up to Cleveland I get a call from my mother-in-law that they were kicking her out of daycare!!! Can you say furious! When I returned I went straight to the daycare to find out what happened and they were like we can't handle her and will not tolerate her acting out and being violent with staff. So I asked instead of asking us to keep her home for s few days or something to try and figure how to help her you decided to kick her out while we were dealing with my wife's health after her brain essentially shut down! They tried to offer some "daycare" program that focuses on kids with behavioral problems and that if she passes their program they'll be willing to take her back. I the asked do they not have staff like other daycares that whose sole purpose is to help with kids in need and the simple answer was no. I called this place up that they offered and guess what, they don't accept my insurance and when I asked how much do they charge, it is a $600 per day program!!! So not only did they kick my daughter out at the most inopportune time, but they don't even know the requirements of the place they recommend, and now my daughter has nowhere to go and I can't go to work! This all happened February of 2023, we couldn't find and get our daughter back into a daycare until that May!! My daughter was and is dealing with something that even grown adults struggle with controlling and this is how they handled it. This is why I give this daycare the rating I did and it needs to be known that if your child has special needs that may cause a problem or disturbance, do not expect them to go the extra mile to try and help figure out a way to make it easier on everyone. Due to allotted length I had to trim up a lot but hopefully you get the picture.

If you have a big job do not work with Doogie's…read more I hired them to deal with a mouse infestation and while they did an adequate job cleaning, they did not deal with the infestation in any meaningful way. They did not complete any of the things listed in their own proposal, mislead me into thinking that I needed to pay the whole cost upfront, and were incredibly unprofessional with communicating arrival times. The inspection was not thorough at all, they ignored several rooms and did not inspect the outside of the house at all. They did not remove all of the junk, they did not sanitize the whole house, they did literally zero functional sealing (they completely ignored every room but one on the first floor, and the entire basement) and the 4 traps they laid out in the open caught zero mice. They also threw away a whole bunch of things they didn't need too like all of the spices from our spice rack, an unopened gallon of cooking oil and several unopened containers of chicken stock. They also destroyed one of our mops by using a wood floor mop on bricks and destroyed a vegetable scrubber by using it to clean the stovetop. They left an air scrubber in our house and said they would be by last Friday to pick it up, no timeframe, eventually I message them and they say they will be there 3:30-4:30. At 5:30 I call them because they still have not shown up. The owner asks if she can send her sister at some undisclosed time to pick it up. I reply that no she can come pick it up in person Saturday at 1 (another time they said they could be available) Her sister shows up anyways at 7:30 slamming her fist into my door until I just give her back the scrubber. TLDR: don't work with Doogie's, they won't do the job, they won't communicate times well, and they will charge you full price.

I've had nothing but good interactions with the staff and though it's taken a little time to get to know them, I like every single person. My daughter felt comfortable there from day one. She enjoys it and is learning a great deal. She thrives in a montessori based environment where she has the ability to learn thorough creative play. The folks there really care for the kids and I think it shows. I know it can't be easy to do what they do everyday and I'm thankful that they are part of my "team" in raising my daughter while being a professional.

The space is on a quiet street behind and auto store which my wife hated. She was not a fan at first until she started getting unprompted comprehensive reports about our sons day. I start getting text from her like "I really like this place". What I like most is that it is not a warehouse for kids with vouchers. There are lots of private pay kids which is important for a number of reasons. I don't like that there is no diversity here. There are really only black kids and I want my son to know there are more than just black people in the world. His friend circle is very multicultural so this environment is a let down in that regard. The teachers use the Kumon learning program and its all the rave. I can see a change in my son. He has become much more vocal and seems to really enjoy it now as he reaches for the teachers now as opposed to the routine meltdown. The inside is clean and organized and the staff are all professional. Plus,it is the least expensive daycare I have found given the caliber.

My son loved the themed classrooms/hallways and the staff were so friendly and kind. My job situation changed soon after my son started at the school but the staff were very understanding and we were so sad to go.
