This is a great place for a Sunday stroll through the woods. The trails are relatively easy and the sights are pretty. The River Trail is the best way to get to the mill, it goes along the river with lots of good viewpoints. The Mill is less than 1km in to the area. The rest of the trails are after the bridge all through the forest. They all seem to have similar sights, just shorter distances through the same forest. The trails are well marked using coloured paint on the trees and large plastic coloured arrows, so it's easy to find your way. We took the longest trail and it was about 4.5km.
Parking is $6 which seemed reasonable for an otherwise free afternoon outdoors. Note that the mill can be toured but you need to book in advance. read more
