There's also an area for driving range if you just want to practise your swings. I've only gone on a course a few times so I'm still not too familiar with all the rules. If you are not too familiar with it as well, be sure to read the rules on the card that I've posted. Remember to arrive 20 mins before your Tee time to make payment and you should book the time in advance. This is another great fun family activity for "staycation". With my family, we don't take this game seriously so we play best ball so that we don't feel too much pressure from the group behind us. I recall the first time taking my daughter golfing when she was about 9 and she just loved riding the power kart!

But I love to come to Bushwood whenever my friend ask me for play a round. The 9 hole executive course at Bushwood is just perfect for me!! My friend can still keep her insanity and we still friend after a round of playing. The grounds are well kept and the fairways and greens always in good condition. (gee I cannot blame the course for all those boogies!!) I usually go during morning have a quick game then we go for lunch, perfect girl's "day" out!! BTW, Bushwood also has another 18-hole Championship Course, maybe I should give it a try next season after more practice! .

It's also easily the best value you're going to find. For a little over $20, I paid much more for farmer field type courses. Everything was just so lush!! There were lots of ball marks on the greens, but that's probably due to the amount of newbs this place would attract not fixing their marks. But even then, it's still in pretty good shape. We were playing sandwhiched between two groups of seniors, and they all did it happily. There are no powered carts and only pulls, but you really don't need it. It's a fairly flat course except for the first and last holes. Plus its a very lovely stroll through the park. With all the naturally lined trees, this place will be gorgeous in the fall, and I can't wait to go back.

I thoroughly enjoyed all the days, sunsets & hours spent at the driving range practicing This place is just beautiful & so conveniently located close to home. Workers here are friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. Special shoutout to Sal for going through the extra trouble of locating a more suitable club for me when I wasn't really happy about the one they initially gave (& also bringing it right up to me at the range!) The driving range is pretty spacious & there are plenty (although it does get more crowded later on in the day). There are a few target practicing flags on the range as well. I haven't had the chance to play holes here but I would love to next season!

Pictures say a thousand words but they still don't do justice to this golf course. You have to play it to really appreciate how good Bunker Hill is. The layout, the scenery, the course conditions, the greens, and the views are all spectacular! The 360 degree view from the 12th tee, the tallest part of the course, is wonderful. How high? You're north of Hwy 7 and you can see Lake Ontario! The layout allows you to play every club in your bag, even the driver (unless you're a long hitter). Hole #12 plays 258 yards from the back tees! Only the best players will break par. Check it out. You'll love it.

They have a tiny restaurant, banquet, proshop - so tiny, it's actually the same room! The course was in great shape, the greens receptive, the fairways interesting with pinpoint landing areas. Water came into play in most of the holes. I forgot which hole but a par-4 risk reward hole over trees to the right of the tee box can land you on a blind green. One of our team mate landed it two feet from the pin. Have no idea how but we'll take an eagle on a par4. The banquet was a buffet style with the usual make up of salad, chicken, steak, and all the fixings. A great time was had by all, especially our team as we won the tourney without any creative mathematics and accounting!!! Cheers!!!

There are LOTS of mature trees, creeks, and ponds, waiting to swallow your ball. Changes in elevation make club selection crucial. Hitting your approach shot past the hole could make your next shot very tricky. Don't let the Par 71, 6,026 yards fool you. All of these factors can bite you before you know it. On this occasion, I was co-hosting a small golf tournament (28 players), with dinner following in the restaurant. The weather was near-perfect, with just a little cloud cover to prevent us from getting burned. Despite a minor hiccup with registration at the beginning, the staff were very friendly and helpful. We got everything sorted out to everybody's satisfaction. Our starter, Michael, was great at pacing us off the first tee and giving everybody, especially first-timers, tips on where they should be aiming. Marshals checked with us several times during the round. After seeing the scores at the end of the round, it appears that not many people took Michael's advice. The scores were abnormally high, even from the players that have been here before. After golf, we had a nice BBQ dinner on the patio overlooking the 18th green. The menu included crudite, salads, burgers, sausages, and desserts. There was more than enough food for everybody and it tasted pretty good. I had arrived early, before the tournament, to have breakfast with my co-host and another friend. The breakfast portions are quite generous and the meals were prepared well. I'll be back (even if it's just to find all the balls I left out there)...
