We were pleasantly surprised by the superb quality of their offerings. Their zucchini and squash were flawlessly presented. They had beautiful strawberries by the bucket. Their frozen meat products were plentiful and they had an array of honeys, jams, and relishes. Ice cream is very much on the menu at the farm whether it be on a cone, cup, or in a shake. The best part was going in the back with my wife where she picked wild flowers (no charge), along with sunflowers (huge). I highly recommend visiting the Johnson Family Farm. You can pick up your CSA (community supported agriculture) at the farmer's market of your choice, as they have a booth at 3 of the local Asheville farmer's markets weekly. You can also visit their farm, where they have a booth stand. And, they participate with ASAP's Farm tour annually. One of my favorite parts about my CSA is that I'm supporting farmer's directly, and each week Annie sends us all an email where she shares about what's happening on the farm and also recipes.
