Going from Bad to worse. Trying to get an appointment for…read moredays on the phone on hold then when answered they have no appointments available apparently! Went in personally yesterday and asked for an appointment for my 13 year old son with the doctor, receptionist took ages looking at her computer asked what it was regarding, I had to explain in front of all the people waiting, (no privacy whatsoever) and told me I would get a call appointment. I got a call at 5pm from a pharmacist who I explained everything to and her answer was she cannot do anything and to get a face to face appointment. I have gone this morning to the surgery at 7am and so was 3rd in line when they opened at 8am waste of time again. Asked for an appointment explained what the pharmacist had said yet same thing asking private questions in front of all the people in the queue, the receptionist fidgeting with the keyboard and then again said "They will call you today" when I asked who was "They" as I obviously didn't want another pharmacist calling me again, the receptionist replied " the people who give the appointments" I then questioned the reason i was actually there in person was to get an actual face to face appointment as advised by their pharmacist, the other male receptionist stopped serving another patient he was serving to butt in to my questioning to the receptionist I ignored him completely as he wasn't serving me...in the end the lady receptionist who was serving me just said "sorry that's the procedure" . I left absolutely fuming, the lack of empathy from these obviously unprofessional receptionists is beyond me. NHS are playing with patients lifes by not hiring the correct staff! My son is in a very bad state and needs to be seen urgently!! Yet FALMOUTH ROAD GROUP PRACTICE HAVE DENIED AN APPOINTMENT FOR MY 13 YEAR OLD TO BE SEEN!!! Absolutely appalling. I really don't know what to do, I feel lost and do not know where to take my son who needs medical attention! ABAOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL NHS SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOUR SELVES!

Mind you the practice was entierly empty, there were no other patients! Rude, unpleasant and haughty. I withdrew my registration.

Typically seen no later than 15 mins after my schedular appointments, though it does take at least two weeks to arrange one.

I'm sad that I can't stay using this group of doctors now I've moved away from the area…read more Good Points - Didn't ever have problems getting an appointment. - When you're poorly, and need to see a doctor on the same day, they let you talk to a doctor over the phone then arrange a time to come in, so you don't have to sit in the waiting room for hours. - All the doctors/nurses that I met were respectful, friendly and sympathetic. - It's clean. - They normally run on time, so you don't have to wait for ages after your appointment time has passed. Bad Point - Sometimes some of the reception staff are a little short with people... If they were less rude it'd be the ultimate doctor's surgery.

The lady at the reception shoved a paper in my face and told me to go read it on how to book an appointment. There was no one waiting there except me. I wanted to tell her that I'm not a scanner but a person and she can just talk to me like real people do. Additionally she was not prepared to register me on the system until that afternoon (when asked when she would register me, she said "It depends on how busy I am", followed with "Everyone has critical problems, not just you"). The air of nonchalance was frustruating. I will be struggling back home and then making my way back once they have graced me with an appointment. People like this destroy the what is left of the NHS brand. I can't comment on the doctors here since I wasn't allowed to meet them. Watch the space!

I've received pretty decent care from these guys, albeit I've only gone in 3 times since moving to…read morethe neighborhood. The registration process is fairly simple. They offer the ability to book appointments online and request specific members of their team. However, I've never been able to access the online system, and they can't seem to troubleshoot the issue. Ah, well. Appointment scheduling is a bugger in general. If you're truly ill and want to be seen that day, you can either turn up at the location when the doors open at 8am and hope for the best. Or, dial their phone line again and again and again at 8am trying to get through. I've never succeeded in scoring one of these same day appointments. For general appointments (i.e., getting new asthma inhalers), I've had roughly a 3-4 week wait for a 10 minute appointment. Finally, to the important stuff: medical care. The doctor's I've seen here are competent, polite and patient. There was only one time where I really felt "written off" as a patient, but I resolved this issue with another GP. I think for daily, non serious (non chronic illnesses), it's a perfectly good neighborhood GP.

Just been again to DocTap this time for a problem with my throat…read more I was prescribed antibiotics for what the doc thinks is throwt infection. I'm going to hold off taking them for a couple of days to see if I really need them but nice to have I guess. My dr this time was Mike. Friendly and chatty like my last one. I think he had quite a tricky patient before me so he was a few minutes (like 5) late for my appointment but I guess that's fine. I'm still a fan of doctap - does anyone out there know of there's anything similar in London?
