(One of my previous dentists had been a line backer in college.. BIG hands.) A couple years earlier I'd gone to a dental patient mill in Plaza Americas. They did a terrible job with a root canal, taking over 5 hours. Their crowns had huge spaces to the gums which constantly snagged fiberous food. Dr Christina made new crowns which are perfect, easy to clean and look totally natural... and for a small fraction of the US price. My US dentist takes 2 weeks to get crowns made..Dr Christina can have them in a day or 2. I recommended her to a female friend in the US. My friend now loves her new look and it has changed her life. This place does quality work, quickly and for a very reasonable price. Her office is easy to find and in a good part of town. It is right across the street from the Gran Plaza mall on Ave Nichupte. From the Hotel Zone you can take the R2-27 bus for 10.5 pesos. Or, take the R44 bus from Plaza Americas for 8 pesos.

I went to Dentics not because I had heard about it but because the place that I had thought I was going to go to was a zoo. It was overbooked. It was a hot mess and I just happened to pass by and something said, "Go inside." They examined my tooth and basically told me the truth: there was nothing wrong with the tooth. You couldn't find a kinder, better dentist in all of Cancun, if not Mexico. I know some foreigners have reservations about having medical and dental procedures out of their native countries but I assure you you will feel 100% comfortable as soon as you're in their office and letting them examine you. I had dental work to be done that I did not have insurance for and would have cost me about $10,000…read morein Canada. I contacted Dentalia to get a quote. Beatriz answered me right away and asked some questions, and gave me an estimate. Even taking into account the cost of travel, it would cost me about half to get the work done in Cancun instead of Montreal. So I made my travel arrangements, and became a dental tourist. I arrived at the Cancun airport at about 2:30 on a Saturday afternoon. By 6:00, I was in the dentist's chair, beginning my treatment. I had a six-unit bridge in the front and a 3-unit bridge on the side, as well as a filling and a cleaning. The people at Dentalia were terrific, and very friendly and efficient. The final result is beautiful, and the whole thing was done by Thursday evening. I can't say enough nice things about Dentalia and their Cancun staff. They are very well set up to handle dental tourism from the U.S. or Canada. Saving thousands of dollars, and getting a trip to Cancun to boot - what could be better? They also have an office in Playa del Carmen, and other offices throughout Mexico. Thanks especially to Beatriz (the concierge) who speaks perfect English and made all the arrangements by email and telephone ahead of time.
