We called back after discussing the price change and they changed the story. Saying "oh he wrote the labor too high by accident . It will actually be $510" because they also replaced the intake valve and an ignition coil without confirming with us if that was okay. When we decided to not argue the $510 and just go get the car, they changed it to $594 once we were there. They were unable to explain why they did so much without confirming if we wanted the extra work done. We are not rich and I don't know a lot about cars and so I couldn't really argue. But just calling to tell us what was going on before doing it and charging us after the fact would have gone a long way. I won't say they scammed us because they did fix the issue with my car but it was absolutely shady and I would recommend them no one. They are taking advantage of people. I would have accepted a variation in price due to parts being more expensive than they thought. But they should have communicated with us when they did more than we agreed to. Also the ignition coil had nothing to do with the knock sensor so they shouldn't have replaced it without permission. So disappointed.

Once my car was on the rack he showed me what was wrong and offered more than one solution. He was trying to get me the best deal, not necessarily the best deal for them. I chose this shop because of all the raving reviews online but now I feel as though they were all written by the employees and family members because there's absolutely no way people are actually celebrating this terrible work they do. There was also a nasty worker there named Rebecca Ellegant at the time who was probably the most unpleasant person I've ever had to deal with and coming from NYC, that says a lot. I still have the emails of her being horrible so I'm glad she was let go. After they "repaired" my vehicle. We flew our regular mechanic out from NYC to check the car. When we pulled up, the hitch step in the back was put on literally at an angle, they never fixed the exhaust pipe that was PUSHED numerous feet into the vehicle undercarriage until I asked them why it wasn't repaired. To top it all off, the bumper has MASSIVE gaps between the rest of the car and the bumper itself, which were never there before. I addressed this numerous times and have emails and pictures to prove this as well. After complaining, they said it's because they needed certain OEM parts and that they'll reach out to insurance yet again and get new parts. They got the new part and it was still messed up. The exhaust pipe was pulled and put RIGHT against the hitch step which ended up burning off the end cap of it. It literally melted the end of the hitch step... who doesn't think this through??? Now the hitch gets BLISTERING HOT when we drive the car because the exhaust is essentially sitting straight on it. And to top it all off, the trunk door has been leaking any time it rains this entire time. When looking at the vehicle, you can see numerous areas that the replacement parts were not lined up in which of course causes issues with water getting in. The muffler shop they sent the car to ended up stealing our exhaust cover and said they removed it and "threw it away" because it was rusted.... It's a stainless steel cover. It can't rust. After I demanded they return it, they magically found it and gave it back... with no rust. They handed it to me in a closed taped box. What clowns. This shop absolutely RUINED our SUV, it took them MONTHS to "repair" it and now years later I'm still dealing with the mess of a job this shop did. They had the audacity to send a thank you letter after the fact to thank us for choosing their shop. Choosing this shop was the biggest mistake I ever made when it comes to my cars and the city of Memphis. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. DONT GO TO THIS SHOP. THEY WILL RUIN YOUR CAR.
