Bottom Line: Lots and lots of prints that will take some patience to comb through. I love vintage posters, maps and charts so I had to stop in Millbrook. This store has a lot of inventory and for me it was a little overwhelming. Next time, I think I will go looking for specific categories and ask the owners to point me in the right direction. I saw items from the US and abroad. They also have some antiques. I like that they have a custom framing shop downstairs too. read more

These guys have some of the oldest and most unique antiques and prints you will find in the city! I'm talking stuff that dates back to the 1800s and a lot of it is Baltimore or Maryland themed as well. I love coming in here just for the history alone and checking out some of the old artwork. I've bought a few prints from here including some throwback Baltimore Inner Harbor prints from the 80s and some old WWI USA propaganda sayings that are really cool. They can also frame there and they weren't kidding when they say then can usually beat prices of most professional framing shops. I learned that the hard way...but if you're strolling through Hampden do yourself a favor and pop into this place. There's a super cute dog waiting to greet you at the door most days. read more

Holy poster collection! This shop is worth a stop if only for feasting your eyes on some seriously glorious vintage graphics. There are smaller pieces you can pick up for a song (especially if you don't mind them showing a little age), all the way to enormous posters that could easily drop floor to ceiling and are incredible to see (if not wildly out of the price range of most). A while ago, I picked up an antique photo of boxers lined up in height order, as I'm a sucker for sepia-toned athletes lined up in height order, and I get that to plenty of people, the things I collect are weird, so when I was being rung up and asked why I chose that piece, I simply said, "Oh, I don't know, I just like it," almost expecting an eye roll or sneer, but instead his eyes lit up and he said he really liked it too, and had to buy it when it came up at an auction. Even if only briefly, it's always nice to encounter people who are not only friendly, but who get why you come to buy what you do. It just makes the experience of collecting and the thrill of the hunt even better. Besides the posters, they have some other bits and bobs: jewelry, maps (mostly downstairs), canning labels, tin toys, matchbooks, and so forth. If I came here too often, I'd have no money (ha), but I always a pleasure to visit when I do. read more

I bought a locket here made in 1976 and I wear it all the time. The listed price was $65 but I asked the store owner if he would be willing to sell it to me for $45. He called the owner of the locket and he said yes! =] They also have auctions, where my sister got some old Starwars comics. read more

One of my favorite stores in Hampden! They have a ton of vintage posters (my favorites are the old war posters and vintage product advertisements), plus stacks of vintage art. They have a pretty decent selection of antique or vintage maps, from Europe to US cities to local Baltimore maps. Reasonably priced. We walked away with a huge 5' x 4' map of Baltimore/Canton from 1904 for $100. They say everything is original, but regardless there are some treasures here. Lots of things are framed and are available with or without the frame. They also have some vintage jewelry and knickknacks if posters aren't your thing. read more

Millbrook Antiques is always a must-visit place when in Hampden. There is a great selection of all kinds of prints and antiques, but what draws me is the fantastic collection of Japanese Woodblock Prints. I have had several paintings and prints framed at Millbrook and they have always done a gorgeous job. I have also picked up some wonderful antique rings, a Qing dynasty vase, and wonderful art deco print. All cherished. They are very helpful and knowledgeable. read more

The two gentlemen working at the time were extremely helpful in describing the pieces and putting them into historical context.
