Walking in, the first thing you notice is the huge open windows across church that go from the floor to the ceiling. Looking through the huge windows you see the blissful greenery, big trees, and in the middle the crucifix. I forget the priest's name, but his homily was very relatable. After mass, one of the ushers was nice and offered to take some pictures for us. I would definitely recommend others to visit this church if you are in the area.

We came for a visit and never left. We felt welcome from the moment we walked in the door. The…read moredepth of teaching is excellent--from the head pastor, associate pastors, and lay people. Two services on Sunday offers some flexibility with your schedule. Worship is contemporary and has some variety in instrumentation, worship leaders, and occasional choirs. Still, the worship is primarily piano-driven. Lakeland offers a chance to meet with the pastor or an elder right after the service (not exactly weekly, but often enough). We waited several weeks before attending one of these "Meet Lakeland" lunches, ourselves. They serve lunch and take time to get to know you while helping you learn more about the church, it's roots, available ministries, serving opportunities, etc. My wife and I believe it is important to serve in church. There are opportunities around every corner--women's ministry, men's ministry, children's ministry, community events, service projects, outreach, and more. It is easy to "plug in" and get involved. There is an emphasis on home Bible studies, and we would highly recommend finding one. We joined a group that meets on a weekly basis, ranging from 10-20 attendees. We always have a wonderful time of fellowship and sharing. There are other things to consider: worship nights, where they combine with other area churches; an excellent Alpha program for new believers; an annual "county fair" with a massive box maze that fills a gymnasium (it has to be seen to be believed); financial seminars; open mic nights; a movie discussion group that meets on a monthly basis to watch and discuss current movies; concerts; and so much more--seriously! They also have a prayer room in an offsite location where you can sign up to go alone or with a group to have a quiet time. Our young-adult daughter was attending another church. After visiting several times with us, she decided to make Lakeland her home. She got involved with the young adult's ministry and has never looked back. She has made many close friends, is growing in her relationship with the Lord, and is loving life. BOTTOM LINE: Lakeland Church is welcoming and casual, has excellent teaching, is family-oriented, and has plenty of ministries and ways to get involved. Highly recommended! Come for a visit...or two...or three...or... (you get the idea!).

It is a place where the Bible is taught with application, which I've personably experienced with challenge and encouragement for my daily life resulting in growth in my relationship with God. In…read moreDecember of 2022 I went for colonoscopy and was diagnosed with Colon Cancer that brought my world as I knew it to and end so I as a catholic reach out to God and attended this church that was recommended to me by dear friends. I fell in love the minute I walked in. It's beautiful and peaceful and very welcoming. I was blessed by the priest after the mass after telling him my diagnosis. January of 2023, I was in the hospital having my surgery to remove the cancer and part of the spleen it was attached to. I was hospitalized for 2 weeks because of complications and was sent home with an attached colostomy bag, and 5 weeks later, I was hospitalized to have it reversed and removed. I spent a week there and made beautiful kind friends with the nurses and doctors at NW. I'm cancer free due to their care and everyone prayers. I visited the church again this past Saturday to thank the priest for his blessing, and he kindly said, "I was just God's messanger, and you are a miracle child." I took that to heart because I've always preached to everyone to be kind, and here I was in front of this religious man telling me I'm a miracle. God bless him, my NW nurses, and my team of doctors, especially my surgeon Dr. Poilyn and Dr. Chang. Please go visit this church whether you are Catholic or not. It's open 24 hours every day, and it's a beautiful church. Also, it has a gift shop open on Saturday.

I have only lived in bristol for about 2 months so far, n I'm finally going out to find a church…read morethat I can call home. I was raised pentecostal Christian, however in my time in the navy I've called non-denominational and baptist churches my home. It all comes down to the mission of the church n a couple other aspects. Well, I've only been here once and tho they have a big size congragation, served a great message, and are involved in 3rd world missions/charity. I did not get greeted by one person. I went in early, and stayed a bit after service ended. Not one person decided to say hi or welcome me. This is a major turn off for me. This is a problem I have noticed more in bigger congragations, I felt alone in a room full of believers. I mentioned they are invested in missionaries and charities around the world, however I didn't notice anything concerning outreaching the surrounding area. With all that said, I don't wanna discourage anyone from this church. They do have good ppl, they believe in the power of God and of faith. Like I said before, it was a great message. This is just my review.
