Miller And Carter Warrington is a large steakhouse in Warrington's Gemini Retail Park, in the usual Miller and Carter style, it is in a rather impressive old building, with a large interior, hosting a good amount of seating. The look/feel of the interior is pretty much indistinguishable from other Miller and Carter locations, I felt like I was closer to home in Wilmslow.
They have their own area of the retail park, which is tucked away but gives it a nicer, cosier feel, away from the shops, this means they are able to have their own dedicated parking lot and outdoor seating area.
The staff are pretty friendly and happy to help, and I was able to get a seat on a busy Saturday without a prior reservation, and I was even placed in a booth facing the open kitchen, with my two guests, which was very comfortable and cool.
PRO TIP: You can often get gift cards for this place cheaper than their actual value, I managed to get a £50 gift card for only £40 with Tesco (saving 20%), meanwhile you are also able to save 4% when using Airtime Rewards.
For my food, I ordered the Buttermilk Chicken, despite being a steakhouse, this is my favourite thing on the Miller and Carter menu, and my usual order when visiting my local branches in Manchester, and Wilmslow.
My food arrived in good time, and was very good, the chicken was both cooked and seasoned well, and the Buttermilk made it taste very good, accompanied by a chicken gravy and some mayonnaise. The dauphinoise potatoes were also very good, I just wish the portion of this was slightly bigger. I noticed my guests' portion of french fries was huge, it felt like they had a lot more of their side dish than me!
Service was also pretty fast in paying my bill, scanning my loyalty card and gift card, and getting out of there in not much time at all.
The sweetcorn puree was also seasoned well and enhanced the dish, I wasn't a fan of the long-stem broccoli, and found it to get in the way more than anything.
My guests were reasonably impressed with the food, but did comment about the lack of cheese and bacon on their "Cheese and Bacon Burger", however, the meat was again cooked well.
4* - A great addition to Warrington's surprisingly impressive dining scene with the added benefit of not having to go into the main town centre, and you can park right outside. read more
