Went to millers gun shopping for a new pistol on 2/2/26 employee name Tim started talking politics and being racist towards the African American community one customer walked out telling Tim have a nice life I laughed at him saying you just lost a customer this is not the first time this has happened the first time it happened the owner step in and made me feel comfortable so I went back I have purchased many guns at this store not anymore they lost two customer that days. Tim needs to know just because their is more of a race then another in the store do not give you the right to be racist. read more

I forgot what size bullet my husband wanted i described what he told me of course i got it all wrong, but the counter man grabbed the box and said this is what he wants. I have been to other stores where they laugh at you if you don't know the terminology. When I initially bought guns, having been new to this hobby, I bought two rather bulky handguns from another retailer. Later on, I realized the value of miniature firearms to help produce the element of surprise. With this in mind, my firearms instructor recommended a Ruger 3701. Staff was very helpful. I inquired about a non cataloged Browning listed on guns international. I was told that that gun had sold but that they had found another in inventory and that they would hold it for me. The purchase was completed in record time. Somehow the ups tracking number got lost but the staff at Miller's stayed on it even calling me to let me know the gun had shipped. The gun showed up at my FFL 5 days after it was ordered. I received a call from Miller's explaining the problem with ups but I informed them the the gun had already arrived. I recently purchased a Browning three barrel set from Bob Miller himself - he did the deal with me himself. It was a disaster in terms of me getting the particular serial number that we agreed upon. On Guns International, a website Miller uses, they showed four individual three barrel sets in Grey. After sending in three emails using GI's website and getting no response I called Miller's. Spoke to Bob directly. I told him which specific serial number that I wanted. He said, "oh, you looked at the various offering on the web site, that's good and that SN you requested has very nice wood grain." We did the deal and when I received the gun it was A DIFFERENT SN!! I sent Bob a text as I had his direct number - no response. So I called and spoke to Bob, I was surprised to hear his response - "you got a Grade 6 Browning, three barrel set at a fair price, what is the issue?" He continuously argued with me and offered no satisfaction, stating that the SN that we had discussed had been sold. Before the call I was willing to give Bob the benefit of the doubt of a simple mistake, that we could exchange this gun and all would be fine. Instead, I found Bob to be completely oblivious to our agreement - saying "that any resolution would be complicated." I'm now convinced that it was simply a "BAIT AND SWITCH." I do not recommend doing business with Bob or anyone like Bob Miller - AVOID Miller's Gun Center! read more

I was attempting to shoot my Browning Citori 725 Trap for the third time, very new gun and very stiff action as it was not broken in yet. When I arrived at the range I wasn't able to attach the barrel to the receiver on this O/U shotgun. This gun isn't cheap and I was upset. I called Browning and they gave me canned answers but nothing helpful. I brought the gun to Miller's even though I didn't buy it there. I do buy ammo, powder, primers, etc and accessories there. The gent at the counter (Phil?) was super helpful. He took the gun and gently popped the cocking lever open and oiled the gun at the top release lever and I was back in business. He didn't charge me and told me if it persist to bring it back and he would pull trigger assembly and clean things up a bit. I tried to hand him some cash as a thank you but he would't accept it. He just helped me out. Very nice old school guy! I will continue to support this shop and his business if possible. I believe this person actually is from Phils Gunsmithing out of Elkton Md based on his card. There is no substitute for knowledgeable service people. The manufacturers are usually little help and keep your guns for months for a minor issue. Thanks again read more

Have visited many times I am not from De but the guys running the store have made it very easy for me to purchase fire arm from them. Their prices are reasonable and of good to best quality. Ammo is hit or miss for desirable calibers , but the prices are reasonable and very seldom a limt to quantity. read more

Have been there twice in the last week and they were busy both times,but on both visits had great customer service first from an employee and next from the owner,they have what you need that nobody eles has powder,primers and ammo all at a fair price cheaper then cabelas,I do agree with some of the older reviews about customer service being bad/rude but that seems to be a thing of the past read more

I pulled up to Miller's Gun Center today not aware of the hours, unfortunately they were closed, but the owner was present and was nice enough to let me in after hours (shortly after they had already closed) and took great care of me. He also gave me a discount on a holster. This is the significant difference between commercial business's (like Cabellas) and family owned business's such as Millers. A commercially owned place like Cabellas would not go the extra mile for customers like Miller's will. That's why I highly recommend Miller's Gun Center! read more

Add on to that the fact that Miller's Gun Center supports more restrictions on 2A rights, and it's plain to see that they do not deserve the business of any self-respecting firearm owner. First off I can say every time I have spoken to anyone at this shop they are very rude and unwilling to help you purchase anything from them. Too bad for DE residents they are the only show in town. Called to inquire about ordering a specific handgun that is a pretty common gun. Was told they don't order guns for people, but they just placed an order from the manufacturer that included the gun I wanted. I was told to call back to see when the gun comes in because they could not contact me. After calling EVERYDAY for 3 weeks and being told that there have been no shipments of that gun to their store, I was told today that they had the very gun I wanted last week and it was sold already. They then told me to keep calling every day until they get another and that they are too busy to call people when guns arrive. WORD OF ADVICE FROM SOMEONE IN BUSINESS... NEVER TELL A CUSTOMER YOU ARE TOO BUSY. read more

I visited Millers on 4/22/2014. I was able to buy the reloading supplies I needed except powder. They have huge stocks but have not been able to buy powder. IMHO the position they take on background checks should have nothing to do with how they do their business. I own guns. I shoot guns for hunting and at the skeet and sporting clay ranges. If we do not allow sensible things like background checks, then sooner or later those who would take away our guns will win. Remember, hunters and shooters are a minority. Even a majority of NRA members support background checks. We who enjoy shooting and hunting should always remember that the guns we use are dangerous. We have a lot to lose. Let's try to be sensible. read more

Customer service is awful.There were 3 guys working when I went and I was waited on by an older guy with glasses.All I wanted was ammo and during my time he took a long phone call and then was talking to some dude who was trying to sell a gun. After my sale I asked him about a pistol. He took the pistol out of the case handed it to me and went off to help the guy still trying to sell a gun.The two other guys didn't even look my way at all to offer any info on the pistol and the other guy never came back to me.Eventually I walked over to one of the guys doing nothing and handed him the gun and said "I'll leave this with you." and left.They never even said thanks or goodbye or nothing.There are more places to go than to these clowns and I will take my money elsewhere. read more

Wear your big boy pants when you go here. Customer service is zip and they can be dismissive. Their prices are pretty high and parking is not easy on a weekend. They are best for hunting long guns in MHO. Usually well stocked for ammo, again not cheap. There are better options in Delaware in my opinion but they are well stocked so if you need a gun quickly, know what you want, and want quick service, it is a good shop! read more

Very knowledgable people at the counter. Gun was not in stock so I had to order. After calling repeatedly for one month I went back for my deposit. Was told they didn't have $200 in cash in the drawer so I had to take a check. Ordered same gun from Cabelas and picked it up the very next day after Cabela's both called and e mailed me to say it had arrived . AND- they were nice to me. As a child, my father (then a cop) did a lot of business with Miller's. In the late 80s, when I was in college, I did as well. Then, in about 2002, I bought an old Colt Army Special there. Always a nice deal.... Then I went to Miller's about 2006, expecting the pleasant experience I had always had before. Boy, was I wrong! I walked in. Three men were "working" there- one goofing around with holsters on a peg-board wall display on the North wall; one setting on a stool at the end of the counter and what I took to be the owner behind the counter, talking on the phone. No-one greeted me. I walked in, looked over the longarms on the racks in front of the counter, then looked over the pistols in the glass display case. The guy on the phone was having a long, detailed personal call. The guy "on duty" at the counter (tall, obese, ex-cop, was eating something) steadfastly ignored me, even after I expressed interest in one of the handguns in the case. I picked up a business card to make a note about the firearm I was interested in, thinking I'd come back when someone wanted to actually talk to me. At THIS point, counter guy yells (yes, yells!) at me that "business cards cost money" (no shit-- so do mine) and if I "wanna make notes" to "get a piece of paper". (It is my standard practice to note the firearm on a card so I know which store it was at, with the contact info handy-- you know, what business cards are for!) I put the card back on the counter, circled the rack and spoke to the guy behind the other counter who was still fooling with the pre-bagged holsters hanging on the north wall. She looked at me like I was something nasty the cat dragged in, grunted and turned back to his "work". Okey-dokey, I guess I'm through here I thought and started for the door. At THIS point, phone guy hung up, ran over and asked what he could do for me. Nothing, I replied. He sputtered in disbelief and asked again. "Nope, nothing", I replied and walked out. I went about a mile down Rt13 to another, smaller shop, located in a sheetmetal building on the southbound lane of 13. Nicest guy, good prices. When I related my experience at Miller's, he laughed and said "yeah, been hearing that a lot. Miller's got the contract for the state (Delaware State Police) so unless you're spending thousands, they don't care." ( I suppose this goes a long way to explaining Miller's anti-2A position-- they are sucking up to the upstate anti-gun politicians. In all fairness, I don't know of one gun dealer who was against the "background check" bill--- as I called it, the "fully-funded gun dealer" bill. They ALL love that background check fee! ) So, that was the last time I set foot in Miller's. There are dozens of gun dealers in Delaware-- they can keep their business cards. read more

Today I travelled down to Millers, because I had ordered a Browning 425. One of my friends had the 20 gauge model and I loved the way it shoots. The man who helped me, a retired police officer, couldn't have been nicer. As a woman, sometimes when you walk into a gun shop, the staff doesn't rush to help you because they presume you are not a serious customer. However, I was treated extremely well, the paperwork was a snap, and he even carried the shells out to the truck for me. A friend who came along with me loved the selection they had also, and he wound up getting one as well, a grade 6. Thanks, Millers, for a great experience. read more

Normally I never post reviews but felt the need in this case. I went in looking for a waterfowl shotgun. The gentleman I believe his name was Bob literally showed me 8 different options, explained how each gun functioned and went over the price points as well as the pros and cons to each. After about 30 mins of attention I told him I would like to sleep on it and would be back in the morning. With that said no pressure at all to buy. Returned the next day to purchase. Bob spent another hour making sure I was able to assemble and dissemble the gun before I left. Then went over all Choke tubes and uses. Couldn't ask for any better service. read more

I have never been to millers before today. I was in a panic and needed a choke tube for a shotgun I was planning on using turkey hunting early next week. I couldn't find it anywhere... No one had it. I used Siri to find a local gun shop after a frustrating attempt to go to Cabellas only to be stuck in traffic due to the road being closed.... I was pointed in the direction of Miller's using my iPhone to find directions finding to a local gun shop in the area . What a perfect way to end a frustrating search for a choke tube. I met the owner Bob Miller. He helped me find exactly what I needed. He is one of the few true old school gentlemen left in this world. A very nice guy and knowledgeable. It was very refreshing to find a place like this still running in a family style mentality. He prefers to know everyone on a first name basis and is a great guy. His store is plentiful in firearms, ammo and accessories. Whatever he doesn't have in stock he can get for you in a week or less and will do so with a smile on his face. Whenever I am in the area I will be sure to stop by. His inventory is very nice and his shop is organized and clean. Prices were excellent also. I ended up buying some ammo on great price deals also. An overall pleasure to deal with and a great place to shop for any firearm or accessory you need. I will definitely go back and bring friends with me to introduce them to him and his store. Overall an A+++++ experience and 100% satisfied today. I am happy the road to Cabella's was closed so it forced me to find his local store. After accompanying my buddy on numerous trips to, and firearms purchases from Millers (he's a sucker for their Browning exclusives), I finally made the trip myself to pick up a Mini 14 I had put on hold over 2 weeks earlier. I was unable to make the trip due to weather and they were happy to keep my name on it. It took less then a minute to be greeted, and the salesman was extremely helpful in explaining the paperwork. All in all I would say the whole process, due to the fact that I knew what I wanted, took a total of maybe 20 minutes. During that time quite a few people were in and out and the staff, on par with my previous observations, where attentive and helpful. I will definitely be returning, as well as recommending to friends and family. If you're worried about selection, call ahead and see if they have it. read more
