I really love this park/pond. It is nice to have it close by on the Southwest Side. I am a runner and enjoy the mile-long paved trail that borders the pond for most the mile. There is not too much elevation so it is great for training for 5K/10K/Half or Full Marathons. And nice to enjoy the view of the pond, people fishing, families grilling, ducks and plant life. There is ample parking for the amount of visitors. It may need more soon. I would have loved to have given this place 5 stars, but I think there is still more potential for this place and would love to see the city and citizens invest more into it. For example, the trail should have a light necklace to illuminate it from dusk to dawn. The pond should have aerating fountains to help with some of the odors from the algae. The grass could be better maintained to allow for some picnics or maybe even yoga at the park by a local instructor. Maybe some more community events, like live local bands adding some ambience to the place or a floating Jumbotron for movies at the pond. And maybe, (and this is a stretch) a small kayak or pedalboat service. There is so much potential with this hidden gem if we give it a little more love. When we make it a community place, it also keeps some of the unwanted activity at bay.

**Disclaimer** a group I work with has adopted this beautiful little park so I feel an emotional connection. This is a wonderful park with a beautiful pond that is stocked with fish for catching and eating. Around the park is a most wonderful mile long paved trail. The park has great picnic tables with grills, nice pavilion, basketball court, little library box and a community center. A wonderful treasure for this south side neighborhood. Come out and walk/run, fish, have family fun and chill with the ducks.

This place is a great escape smack dab in the middle of the Southwest Side. It would be nice if Park Cops could be seen as to keep the riff-raff at bay. The pond gets stocked every so often with Rainbow trout and Cat fish. I have yet to reap the benefits. The traffic from the main road can be annoying at times but when you loose yourself staring at the pond it all goes away.

Had a great time my son caught a lot of fish he got 2 catfish two bass and three perch
