I'd give no stars if I could!! Treated VERY poorly! My vehicle recently got stolen, my insurance…read moreset up a rental from here. I received an email at 4pm from my insurance said to call him that he had a rental for me! I called upon getting the email letting him know I couldn't make it as he closes at 5pm and I got emailed at 4pm. I stated I'd be there the next day (less than 24 hours) but wouldn't be till after 12pm as my step dad (who lives an hour away) always comes at noon every week on that same day. (I am a single mother with 2 smaller children it is VERY difficult for me to find a ride at the drop of a hat!) He said it was fine that he didn't have a rental but found one and was cleaning it just so I could have a car to rent and to just bring my license and insurance card with me. (Well my cards were stolen along with my vehicle.) So I had trouble printing my insurance card and all at home! I tried for so long to get my iPhone to connect to my printer. I still couldn't get it printed, ended up giving up and tried scanning my whole phone screen in the scanner then immediately left to go get the car. Upon arriving around 3pm he was over at another vehicle talking to some lady (which was fine), I got my stuff and walked in (hoping my copies would work). I waited in there for a few minutes then walked outside (no one was in there.) I went to the driver side window to talk to my stepdad while I was waiting after a few more minutes he comes over and says "I don't have a vehicle for you, you were supposed to be here this morning!" As rude as he possibly could. Shocked I replied with you said I could come in today to get it. He said yeah this morning, I called your insurance and told them I've already held it for more than 24 hours and I was giving it to someone else. (Mind you I arrived at his rental business before 4pm which was when I received the email from my insurance company) I replied I didn't say this morning, I told you I couldn't make it until afternoon because my stepdad comes on the same day of the week, at the same time, every week! (It's like clockwork and it's the only day I have to get a ride cuz he lives an hour away and works even farther everyday but this day) He said well sorry I don't have anything for you! (He ended up giving it to someone else 20 minutes before I showed up.) Now anyone with kids knows how it is with loading them up and getting them ready, placing car seats in the car, and all (takes an hour or more) On top of wasting my time and my gas (with gas prices being outrageous). I could've got a rental set up somewhere else but was under the impression I had one waiting! I have 2 small children and needed a vehicle. My one day during the week I have to get anything done, Like he takes us to grocery pickup cuz I haven't had a ride but I canceled it to get this car. I would say he could've called but it's like this... that ISNT how you treat someone! I dropped everything (getting food and household stuff for my kids) just to make sure I was there to get it! Now I can't even get anything for another week. Also the fact he tried to lie by saying he held it for over 24 hours just shows me that he knew what he done was wrong!! He was only trying to make himself feel better and tried to throw the blame on someone who's control it was out of. I dropped literally everything to get there. 24 hours or not. (It was only maybe 6 business hours total....his hours) He shouldn't of put me in this position! A VERBAL AGREEMENT IS STILL A CONTRACT! I wasted the only day I had transportation to get this rental for nothing and even canceled my grocery pickup to get there. I will not be doing business there EVER and I suggest you do the same. I know I'm not the first he did this to, but I don't want anyone else to be in my situation because it is truly left me stuck between a rock and a hard place!! Of course everything always comes back to a person though. Tenfold! So with this I'll end by telling them god bless you and I wish you nothing more than all the courtesy and kindness you've shown me!
