There are only half a dozen shops or thereabouts. Inside though, it's clean, tidy and well lit. There are some cracking shops inside including a great WH Smith, Marks and Spencers, Early Learning Centre, Millets, Thortons and The Body Shop. There are also a few phone shops and game shops. There is also a really good wee cafe in here, The Capocci Man. Spent alot of time in here recently, having travelled over to Hamilton alot to visit the excellent sports complex.

Clothes shops, cafes, game stores and even a massive Woolworths, but most of that has gone now, leaving Hamilton shoppers with a costa, a few pound shops, a Wilkinsons, and a New Look. The only good thing going for this place is Marks and Spencer's. The only reason I'm giving this place a 3 star review despite it sounding like it deserves 1 is because I still love the place. On a Saturday afternoon, the amount of characters you see in here is great and I badly wish this place could return to it's former glory. Damn it economy!

They have many fast food and restaurant options and it seems to be very popular place with the younger crowd as there is also an area for video games and entertainment. Just beware that many stores close early (6 pm I think) and although the food places may be open but many stores were not when I went around 7 pm.

The multi storey car park has a great lighting set up to let you know where a free space is.. If you look at the roof you'll see lots of red and green lights.. If you see a green light underneath it will be a free parking space.. There are lots of different shops all the kids you want even a small version of debenhams.. And the food on offer is great. wagamama, nandos, you sushi, the list goes on.. There are lots of lovely little stalls dotted about where you can buy some original not in the high street type things. There's a few new eating places too - Giraffe, Zizzi and Carluccio's is opening later this year. Things that aren't so good about it: - It's a bit of a strange shape so it means you'll walk from one end to the other, and then remember something you need at M&S or Tesco, and have to walk all the way back again - The car park is a bit of a nightmare. I try to avoid visiting on the weekend as even then it's hard to park. At Christmas you'd be better off getting public transport if you're really desperate to shop here. - The toilets seem like they're really far apart I go here when I need to, but I rarely visit just for a wander around the shops anymore.

Split over 3 floors, you'll find all sorts of food/coffee places and a range of high street stores like Next, jewellers, art shops, John Lewis. And Lego. Yes, Buchanan Galleries is home to The Lego Store. Pretty much everytime i come in here I HAVE to visit the Lego Store. It's an addiction ;( And I don't want help with it. Oh, check out Moss - they always do a great sale!

As shopping centres go, you could do worse than the Buchanan Galleries. For one thing, it's not too bad too look at. It blends nicely with the buildings around it and, as is clear to see from the slope on the second (first?) floor it has been carefully designed to intersect with the corner that joins Buchanan Street with Sauchiehall Street. Within the Galleries there's a great range of stores - it's not all just ladies fashion, even if that does make up the majority of what's on offer. There are also gift shops, men's fashion, places selling candles, cosmetics and toiletries, toy shops (Lego!), jewellery, tech, stationary and of course, food and drink. Oh, and there's a John Lewis. It might not be the most exciting, most unique selection on offer in Glasgow, but sometimes all you're shopping for is a basic pair of jeans, a birthday card and a pretzel to keep you going. In which case, this is the place to come.

I suppose Clydebank Shopping Centre is filled with cheap shops because it is based in a town with a lot of poverty. Granted, it's not all bad, there is a decent New Look and Dorothy Perkins and a massive 24 hour Asda. However, Bankies looking for quality retailers end up just making the 15 minute drive to either Braehead or Silverburn or jump on the train to the city centre.

Some of the shops now at the shopping centre are: - Home Bargains Iceland Greggs British Heart Foundation Farmfoods Albemarle Bond Jewellers and Pawnbrokers McColls Subway Forde Opticians Card Factory Deans Super-store Post Office Fruit & Veg stall Woman's Clothes stall (everything is £5) Free parking plus the adjoining bus terminus and Subway Station. Mostly what's available here is at the lower budget end of the high street, however large branches of M&S and Debenhams can be found here too. Probably the most interesting section is the food court, which has several cafes and eateries that look pretty great - including milkshake, pizza, hot dog and ice cream places, as well as a general cafeteria-style cafe. It makes sense to come shopping here for basics, or to get out of the rain, and the idea of stopping for some lunch when your shopping is done is pretty appealing with the options available here.

There is Argos, Woolworth's and ELC for toy shopping. There is a large car park attached to the shopping centre which has many disabled and family spaces on the 3rd floor. There are two main toilet areas which are kept clean and well stocked. There is also a good baby changing area which has a toddler sized toilet, breastfeeding cubicles and baby changing mats. The centre in general is always clean and the floors are regularly swept and moped.

When he came to my bit he had fortunately changed his mind and said 'Howsabout EK instead?' Yay, you betcha! I love the East Kilbride Shopping Centre or it's more the Centre West bit that I like best nowadays. It's actually split into several shopping malls, Prince's Mall and The Plaza were the first then they linked up The Plaza to the Olympia with the ice rink and cinema. I loved that part when I was younger. Then they covered up Prince's Square to become a mall then recently added on to The Plaza, Centre West. If you enter from the bus station it is a bit grim but keep heading through and it does get better. I normally park at Centre West but my friend likes parking at the Olympia. We still don't know how you can park in the underneath car park. Hmm?!! Anyhoo it was lovely to grace this entrance, it was completely mobbed, lovely to see the ice rink still as busy as ever. *Flashback* First time I was ever on an ice rink with my mum. Did witness someone fall and have their hand slashed though. I remember the paramedics and blood on the ice. Fortunately it didn't put me too much off ice skating. We mostly window shopped as we didn't see much we fancied in the sales. We decided to stop for a wee coffee at Costa in The Plaza. There's plenty of food courts and coffee shops about in all the malls. I love the food court in Centre West best. The one at the ice rink not so much nowadays, if you saw it you would understand why. It's great to come here especially when it's raining as everything's all under one roof and it's call Toys R er maybe not. Did most of my Christmas shopping here as there's a great variety of shops. There's still empty lets in the various malls but there's still plenty of shops to make you drop.

Today, it's a bit pathetic and every second lot seems to be lying empty. There's everything here you'd expect in a shopping centre; Topshop, a huge Debenhams, Waterstones and a selection of others. There's also a couple of cafés, a McDonald's and a decent sized food court. There's also a huge ice rink and upstairs there's an Odeon cinema and a library. It has a lot in it, it's just a bit depressing to walk through and see most of the lots lying empty.
