There is not a huge choice of different brands etc but that is not to be expected in a smaller branch of Tesco. They do have offers regularly (different to the larger Tesco branches) and they aregreat at reducing items that are comingup to their use-by date so you can get some bargains! There is also a cash machine outside of the store which does not charge for withdrawals- very handy!

The prices are reasonable, but not cheap. They stock a wide variety of shoes, particularly trainers. The staff seem friendly and helpful. I bought something in here once that had been under-priced by mistake, but they honoured their pricing and sold it to me at the lower price. I feel their customer service is good.

Maysons has recently split into two separate male and female stores. The Women's shop is very small, where as the Men's is much bigger with plenty of stock. Maysons sells Jeans, T Shirts, Jumpers, Belts, Underwear, Shoes, Flip Flops. They also change stock quite regularly so you can always find the latest fashion accessories here. It is definitely worth taking a visit to Maysons if you're ever in Hitchin - especially when they have a sale on. Bargains to be had!

Everything is all situated on the one floor, with a spacious food and drink area at the back of the store and a very nice largish coffee shop hidden towards the side. I have had coffee in the coffee shop several times - there always seems to be lots of mum with pushchairs and prams so it is obviously the place for them to meet. That's probably due to the spacious area. Although it's a fairly busy store it doesn't ever feel very busy - I think that must be due to the spacious layout.

It used to be crowded with rails, but the last time I went in, it was quite sparse, and didn't seem to have as much choice as usual. The have a range called Sophie, which is for around 8-14 year olds. I have had some good clothes for my kids from here, the prices are moderate, more expensive than Primark, cheaper than Next. Also good for cheap accessories such as hair bands and necklaces.
