The closest place to sit down was the cafe next door, so that is where we went. When we walked in the server asked whether we wanted breakfast or lunch menus, which appealed to my mom and me greatly, being breakfast fans. The food here is tasty and plentiful--particularly if you order an omelette and hash browns. Service is prompt and friendly. I recommend this cafe even if you don't get caught in a thunderstorm.

Right…read morefrom the beginning, Dale was so accommodating; he set up a tasting where my fiancé and I got to try several different entrées and a ton of side dish options. They were all so good that it was hard to decide! We got to try every type of potato and several of the cold salads AND he sent us home with many of the leftovers. Leading up to the wedding, he frequently checked in to make sure we had no other questions and was very flexible with last-minute guest count changes. On the wedding day, he and his team arrived early, got everything set up seamlessly and had all the food prepared and ready when it was time for dinner. He provided plates, napkins, utensils, cups, everything! He made sure there was plenty of food for every guest, and we even got to take home a good portion of leftovers at the end of the evening. I asked him for a special favor of setting out our cakes for us before guests arrived, and he was happy to help! We received so many compliments all night long from our guests on how delicious the food was. I had initially struggled to find an experienced and reasonably priced caterer in our area and am so glad I came across Buchholz Catering! But I will never forget their brisket. I'm a huge fan of BBQ and own my own smoker. I make brisket and previously thought that it was second to none. Now I know it's second only to Pirogues.

We rented table cloths and chairs from them for our daughters wedding recently. Some of the table…read morecloths had dried eggshell colored paint on them so we could not use them although we had paid to rent them. I had talked with Bryon who is one of the owners on several occations concerning the delivery and set up of the chairs we needed and where to set them up. When talking to him he was always on his cell phone or in his car and assured me that he would write the instructions down when he returned to the office. The day of my daughters wedding we had Groomsmen waiting for them out at the park and they did not show up on time to deliver the chairs. Then, I got a phone call telling me that they were finally there and refusing to set the chairs up because they had to walk down a side walk path around the small lake that the wedding was at. It turned out that Bryon did not write down the instructions like he said he would and so he did not have the right area for the wedding to set the chairs up. The party workers got mad and told the Groomsmen that their party will be getting another bill for the set up although I had paid the extra for delivery and set up. After arguing with them on my daughters wedding day, the delivery workers finally took the chairs over to the other side of the lake in their van and then started setting the chairs up with an ATTITUDE. I arrange for large party events with my job and I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AND I WILL NOT USE THEM AGAIN!!!!
