This is the cutest bakery right around the corner from the City Centre in Dundee. We read about…read morethis place on line and it totally met expectations. You can eat in or carry out. The service is fast and friendly. But, you come for the food. We enjoyed a Fudge doughnut and a Millionaire shortbread cookie along with a pot of tea. I am glad we split our order, because the short bread cookie was layered with caramel and milk chocolate and was so decadent. The fudge doughnut was the thing we came for and it was amazing. The doughnut was light and airy and filled with a sweet, but not too sweet, custard. They also serve lunch and other hot items, but today was dedicated to the sweets. There was a steady stream of people, so the locals all know about this place. It you are in town, you won't want to miss it.

I actually think that the bakers ovenhas closed down with many shops becoming Greggs but I may be wrong. If the bakers ovendoes still exist in the forum centre thenit is well worth the visit. The pastries are to die for, the cakes even better. I was never that keenon the filled baguettes as I felt the actual baguette was too crispy but I know somepeople prefered it that way. Overall top class.

One of the items was the Petticoat Tails - 3.45 for a package of two thick utterly gorgeous, perfectly crimped edges', shortbread petticoat tails. Liberally sprinkled with castor sugar --- and ... a hint of salt which I have always enjoyed in a shortbread. Some people don't use it - which I find lacking. This was TRUE, 100% uncomplicated shortbread, the way shortbread should taste. Definitely worth a visit! (Nice customer service as well).

Lovely food,…read morebeautifully presented, (breakfast, soups, sandwiches, salads, plus weekend brunch & afternoon tea, soup/sandwich deals to eat in or takeaway check the website for the menu). Popped in for a late lunch on Saturday before a film at the DCA, and to use a voucher from online discount site. Server was very chatty & helpful, but they lose a star for not coping very well with a sudden influx of customers, when we finished our mains, the plates weren't cleared away or our dessert order taken, despite standing at the counter pointedly checking out the cake display or trying to catch the server's eye for a good 15 minutes. Normally this wouldn't be a problem but we barely made it to the cinema on time to catch the start of the movie. . . Overall fantastic food, but perhaps another member of staff needed at busy times.
