We were completely smitten with the vast selection of crystals and other stones. If you are into crystal healing or crystals as art, you're going to be in heaven. I may be so bold as to say that All Matters has the best selection for crystal healing stones I've ever seen. They're untreated, intricately labeled with instruction cards (so appreciated) and come in all forms ranging from raw chunks to tumbled stones and pieces of jewelry. I purchased a few for myself and a few as gifts and they were so nicely wrapped. They also had various salt lamps and other decorative accessories such as crystal candle votives and artwork, but I was so laser focused on the gorgeous and robust crystal selection, which contained even rare stones that are hard to find. The shop owners were very friendly and chatty - they told me they were celebrating 20+ years! They also had the most adorable senior pup, Jasper, chilling behind the counter. I always assumed it was more of a bird and nature specialty store. Don't get me wrong, they have a plethora of birding and gardening supplies if that's a passion for you, but, ahh, it is so much more than that! Wildlife Garden makes me want to buy a house with a huge yard, just so I can start a garden and decorate it. Some things I loved: + Beautiful little gifts. Of all types. I purchased the most adorable little pieces of art that had a small bird holding a sign that reads, "A little bird told me today will be beautiful." + Pet stuff that isn't tacky, especially the ceramic statues as well as the pet memorial items (which are very hard to find). + Unique garden decor. I adored the awesome solar-powered glass-blown(?) flowers that collect light during the day and light up at night. + Fun cards and they do beautiful, free gift-wrapping. You can do everything all at one time! + Gorgeous windchimes and another artisan decor. Just stop by with nothing in mind, and explore! I recently found a beautiful federal style end table that I absolutely adore for only $35! It is solid mahogany with amazing carvings. It was quite the deal. When I stopped in today I picked up some really cool vintage Glass Christmas Ornaments. They look just like the ones I grew up with on our Christmas tree. They also have vintage toys, lunch boxes, dining tables and jewelry. Stop on in, it's worth the drive. I promise you will walk out of there with a new find after each visit.

Pete Antrobus had always been thoughtful about the work, and I had admired many of his designs in the store. For a (big) birthday I asked Pete to make a pair of earrings for me that adapted the design of a bracelet in the store that I loved. He listened to what I wanted, sketched ideas, modified plans to meet my goals, and applied his expertise to ensure the final design and product made sense structurally and aesthetically. They are perfect! If I could include a picture I would - but regardless, a trip to the store is well worth your time if you are looking for something lovely and lasting.

In December, my boyfriend was frantically looking for a place to set his grandmother's diamond after a mishap with another setting. He happened upon this nice little shop and was met with helpful and enthusiastic service. Though the setting he wanted and the diamond that he had wasn't the ideal combination for the jeweler here, since they particularly do customization and their own designing, everything worked out perfectly. Onto my dealings with the couple that own this shop. I had to come in to get the ring sized. This was also in December, so we had to account for cold hands and such, but I did end up going twice for sizing. The first time, I was told I "have no knuckles" and need to get the ring sized pretty small, so that's what we did. It ended up so small that my finger was very uncomfortable and there was an immediate purple line where the ring was. Upon going back, I was discouraged from going up a portion of a size (I think we only ended up going up a half or quarter) due to my lack of knuckles again. This got a little frustrating, since I knew that where it was then was uncomfortable and not what I wanted. In the end, after a second sizing, we found the perfect size for me and I couldn't be happier. Despite some hangups and the whole process of getting the ring sized more than once (and fighting for it) being a little stressful, I'd definitely recommend coming here for customized jewelry needs. They do great work and are genuinely nice people.
