I had a very good experience, from start to finish at Milwaukee Eye Care. From check-in to finish was on time, informational, and the tests were completed with no waiting or downtime. Every step was explained fully, and my questions were answered to my complete understanding and satisfaction. The staff leading up to my meeting with Dr. Murphy were all efficient and friendly. I moved through the process easily. During my consultation with Dr. Murphy, I was fully informed about the tests being done, the results as he saw them, and also my options for further treatment. I felt heard and respected. Dr. Murphy was highly recommended to me by my dermatologist and he is also on the Top 100 Doctors of Milwaukee, so my confidence was good. During the appointment, I was able to schedule the surgery, as well as the two follow-up appointments needed. I was given paperwork with all FAQs I could need, as well as the financial expectations. I left after a very short amount of time and with all the information I would need. I have now had my surgery and that also went incredibly well. I will review this on the Envision review as that is where the procedure was done. I will, however, return to Milwaukee Eye Care for my followup appointments and I have no reason to believe I will be less satisfied afterward. read more

My 84 year old father, an established patient at this facility, had an eye emergency this morning. I called to see if they could fit him in with anyone and they had no openings at no locations. We ended up going to urgent care which is down the hall from his doctor's office. urgent care was unable to help him as they didn't have an ophthalmologist on staff and told us to go to the emergency room, 15 miles away. After urgent care and before the emergency room, we walked over to the Milwaukee Eye Care Office to see if there was anything they could do and was told simply "sorry go to the emergency room". This facility appears to fine when providing care if it's scheduled well ahead of time but if you need them in an urgent situation they will have zero compassion. I will be getting him a new doctor that can provide care when it's needed not only weeks in advance. We could have waited as we have been in the hospital's emergency waiting room for several hours now without being seen. read more

The Front staff was friendly but I couldn't say the same for the doctor or the initial technician who examined my eyes. I waited almost 15 minutes to see the doctor then when he does come in the room he asks me what can he do for me today. Well, I thought you were going to give me an eye exam because that's what I scheduled the appointment for. He was also kind of stiff and didn't have much of a personality. He seemed very non emotional in what he was explaining to me or answering questions I had. Most likely won't go back to them for next years eye exam. read more

I first saw Dr.Jason Edmunds of Milwaukee Eye Care in November 2021 for an eye exam. At that time I was having difficulty with my eyes being red and irritated and Dr. Edmunds diagnosed me with having blepharitis caused by Rosacea. Over the next 11 months I was prescribed several eye drops that contained steroids for treatment and they would work for a while a clear up my eyes but when they were discontinued the red eye irritation would return. I trusted his judgment and treatment regimens over this time period until my eyesight began to be diminished substantially. In my last appointment with Dr. Edmunds in October 2022, he mentioned to me that my cataracts had developed a significant amount and that I would need surgery to correct my vision problem. My response was that I had never been told that I had cataracts and that I was very surprised that I would require surgery to which he responded that long term steroid use can cause cataracts to develop. That was the first that I had ever been told that. I went to another Froedert Medical College Eye Institute Ophthalmologist for a 2nd opinion and was diagnosed with having Posterior Subcapsular Cataracts in both eyes that were "drug induced" and I am having corrective surgery beginning next week. I feel that I was over prescribed steroid eye drops by Dr. Edmunds for 11 months and never informed that they could cause cataracts to develop in my eyes which in my opinion was careless and negligent. I am now being treated with over the counter OcuSoft Foam Eye Lid Cleanser and my eyes are no longer red and irritated and I am looking forward to seeing clearly again after being treated by a more knowledgeable physician. My experience therefore with Dr. Edmunds is most disappointing and. I would not recommend him. There are better physicians out there for certain. read more

I love this place. So much better than other eye care offices I've visited in Milwaukee/Lake Country. I see Dr Heilman in Brookfield - couldn't be happier. All staff are extremely warm and friendly. Office is clean and efficient. Optics department (where you pick your frames) is excellent and helped fix some issues with my frames in just a few minutes. They use technology in a helpful way for appointment reminders, confirmations, etc. read more
