If I'm in Mt. Pleasant, and I need a manicure, this is my go-to place. Have always had great service & they do an amazing job.

I recently came here with my niece for her birthday. She had a great experience -- the technician who did her gel nails was friendly, personable, and he did a beautiful job with a sparkly design. She was very happy with her nails. Unfortunately, my experience was the opposite. The technician who did my manicure seemed rushed from the start. My cuticles were trimmed so aggressively that they were bleeding, and the polish application was sloppy. When she finished, she immediately got up and walked to the back and never returned. I was left sitting there and had to pick up my jacket and purse and carry them myself to the drying table. In the process, I smudged a couple of nails. I tried to find the technician to fix them but couldn't locate her. At that point, I just wanted to leave. It's disappointing because the salon clearly has talented staff, but the inconsistency in service really took away from what should have been a pleasant visit. I hope management addresses this so all clients receive the same level of care. read more

This spa is very clean and well taken care of. They have a great color selection and they offer water while you sit there. I had a bit of sticker shock when my nails cost $70 for a fill in but they sure do look great. read more

Despite the very friendly staff, I cannot recommend this nail spa. The spa was very dirty, and there was a barking dog inside. My gel manicure turned out quite poorly. The color is very splotchy and uneven; the gel does not cover my whole nails, and is all over cuticles. I did tip the nail tech for completing the manicure, but I would not return here again. read more

Made an appointment for 5 but didn't get helped until 5:20. Man doing my nails seemed very unhappy to be there. He was using the drill quite hard and it stung a lot, and he ripped off some skin which caused bleeding. Nails look good but disappointing otherwise. read more

Really like this clean and friendly place. The nails are done perfectly! I arrived at 6:30 pm and I was accepted. Yoo Hoo! It's hard to make many of the other locations during a weekday when you finish Kate from work. And I was welcomed. No murmuring or rolling the eyes, a nice gentleman, followed by another and finally my nail stylist all treated me with respect. I had a gel manicure and a pedicure. The massage part is only a few minutes but so awesome! The place is clean! I think when reviewing nail salons, the actual product you come out with is about the same- unless there is a grave error. Waited an hour for a walk-in because they only had 4 nails techs working. Kept being told "coming to you very soon." Wasn't offered a beverage or anything while I was waiting forever. Water in the foot bath was cold for the last 45 of my wait. When it was finally my turn, I sat in the pedicure chair then had to hobble over to the manicure area with wet toes to do the manicure. Most other places I've been to will have a tech do your finger nails while you're sitting in the spa chair. Nails turned out okay, but were not what the picture I supplied or described. Won't go back just for the wait alone. Other walk-ins kept coming in and waiting. Even a gal who had an appointment for 1pm didn't get to the chair until 1:45. read more

I've gotten my nails done regularly in NYC and decided to give this place a try since I just moved here. I would give my visit today 3.5 stars, but for nail shape I'll give 4 stars. I had come in asking for a design, if it wasn't possible I had no problem looking for a different design... in the end I settled for something just to finish my nails after a white French tip had been done that looked very sloppy. I've been coming to Mimosa Nail and Spa for a little over 3 years now, usually for services before I go on vacation or an event. Benh and his staff never disappoints! Especially from it being family owned . This time in particular, I'm impressed with the time management and ending result! I originally scheduled an appointment a week prior at 11am, knowing I had to be at a wedding at 3pm that day. I needed services of a Mani/Pedi . After halfway through my pedicure, I started worry because I was on a time crunch and still needed to get home to do hair & makeup for the event. Realizing I should've made the appointment an hour earlier. Expressing my worry, Benh (who finished with his last client early) rolled his chair over to the pedicure station and started filing and applying my Acrylic! Just, WOW! Talk about service. I then finished my pedi and finished getting my Mani at his desk. I WAS IN AND OUT IN LESS THEN AN HOUR AND A HALF! Plenty of extra time to stop by Ulta and get some Last minute beauty supplies ! Went in for some birthday nails and I had to get a previous gel manicure removed. I proceeded to get a set of acrylic tips put with SNS on top with gel designs. I showed them a picture of the designs I wanted and it honestly came out better than the picture I showed them. They were so gentle with the drills. I have gone to other salons in the past where I left with cuts on multiple fingers and some nails having wonky shapes, but that didn't happen AT ALL here.
