My first feeling on entering the office was one of calm serenity. The whole atmosphere in the office was peaceful and soothing, and Tasha's space is a lovely, clean, and soft setting with just the right touch of nature elements that give it a bit of the feeling that you're in a warmer sunnier climate. And I loved the soothing music selection. Tasha's space mirror's her own inner qualities. She has a gentle, patient, and attentive manner that puts you at ease. She is very easy to talk to and yet stays professional and focused on you as the patient. She seems to have it just right in the communication and flow of her work. From finding out what I wanted to focus on at the beginning, to her being responsive to physical or verbal feedback on the massage throughout, and finally to her helpful information in the end. The massage was very detailed and thorough, extending to other parts of my body that are connected to those problem areas. It was also very relaxing, and I learned this time that relaxation is where healing happens, and conversation is limited during the massage for that purpose. One thing that I really appreciate with Tasha is that each time I have seen her, I learn more about my body, the causes for pain, and what will correct it. This time she pointed out my hip posture orientation and recommended stretches and clarified how to sit correctly. At my work the following day I paid attention to my sitting position. Between the massage and me shifting my posture for one day, I noticed a significant reduction in lower back pain. I highly recommend Tasha. She takes excellent care of her patients and doesn't seem to overlook any element of the process: a beautiful experience from beginning to end.

Due to this, I haven't had a full body massage in probably 8-10 years. But after my magical, relaxing, and rejuvenating massage with Salina yesterday, massage is now going to be a regular ritual for me once again. In addition to being a skilled and talented massage therapist, Salina is also thoughtful, caring, and responsive. The other bonus is that Still Point is in the Tangletown neighborhood near Green Lake and Wallingford and has plenty of free street parking. Yes! Also, the building is pretty, peaceful, modern, clean, and kinda feels like walking through an Escher drawing (thanks for that analogy, Salina, it's spot on) to get to your room.
