We went out on our first date night in a long time... and this show did not disappoint. They were funny and entertaining. I like how they got the audience involved and kept us all engaged. It was nice to meet with them after the show, such wonderful people.... Also, did I mention they have a chihuahua named Swami? Oh my dogness he's so cute. I think the show was pretty good for how short it was. I was impressed but I feel like we didn't see enough. There was a lot of in between talking and trying to make jokes so it was almost more comedy than mentalist. I would have preferred more things like the tapping. But the few things I did see, wow. Talk about a fun evening. This was it. My husband and I along with another couple ordered tickets, not really knowing what to expect. The information that I read said it was in a room at the Hilton on market street Free parking in the garage, have your ticket stamped by the event. (Without free parking it would have cost $40) You meet a very nice, organized representative in the lobby and all go in together. They don't serve drinks or food but it is available and you can take it in The minute the door closes you are in for fun and amazement! Everyone gets involved one way or another without embarrassment. It is the kind of act that could be in Las Vegas. They call it mind boggling with humor. It is. Looking for something to do on a Saturday Night I found the Mind Tripping show. I was intrigued enough to look into it and check out the cost and what it was all about. I loved it was comedy, lil magic, audience interaction and a smaller venue. We decided to valet for $10 so worth it that night it was cold. As soon as we walked in the Hilton Hotel doors we saw the check in table past the check in desk. We got name tags and the women let us know what time we needed to go to the show. 15 floors up is where all the magic happens. Immediately felt welcome by Katarina and Christian. The room is small and cozy, it was very comfortable. Then, the laughs started to come in. The host are so funny the way the communicate with each other and is (the audience). It's lasted about 1 1/2hrs and the best night in a long time. It was me, my sister and my 15 yr old daughter. She loved it and there was also 2 other teens there that night. Katarina and Christian called the the teens as separate times to be involved in a magic trick. Very nice of them to do. A must see on your visit to Indy. I had seen the show with a corporate event & when my family came to town for my birthday, they told me what they had planned - The Mind Tripping Show. Though I had seen it before, it was different and I still had an amazing time and laughed very hard. My family was skeptical (I hadn't told them anything about the show) & tried to figure it out - but they had their minds blown! They can't stop talking about it! From ages 28 to 62 - it was a great show. The seating at the Hilton is cozy so you won't miss a thing and may just get called up (my sister did!) to be a part of the show. I have seen at least eight much, much more expensive magic/comedy-magic shows in Vegas (Penn & Teller, Siegfried & Roy, Copperfield, Lance Burton, Steve Wyrick, Mac King, Mike Hammer, Amazing Jonathan, etc.) and this show is quite comparable to those and, indeed, better than some of those. The chemistry between these two is solid. The magic/illusions are world class. The comedy and improvisation are honed from years and years of practice and shows. These two are pros. The five star reviews here are legit. The $25 per ticket with free parking at the Hilton is so low it's unworthy of such a high quality show. read more

We decided to give this a try after reading several great reviews on Yelp. We are SOOOOO glad we did. We all need to get the word out about this. This act is awesome. They are very funny and the magic is great! They really kept everyone entertained (and involved) the whole time. Seating is limited so it really feels like a private show. I've seen ads for them many times and I can't put my finger on what it is that kept me from coming until now. I don't know if it's the name or the retro style logo or what. I really thought this could be a "birthday party" kind of act - this is WAY BETTER than anything I've seen around here. Some other Yelpers compared it to a Vegas act, and I think that's fair. It blows my mind I had never heard of this show until recently, especially since it has been in Indy at the Hilton venue for years. Christian and Katalina were funny and kept the attention of the audience for the entire 90 minute show. This is an intimate setting so the entire audience participated in the show and tricks. Christian and Katalina were so nice and acknowledged all who were celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, etc with a small gift. They personally thanked every patron as exiting the venue. Tickets are very affordable and there is a bar in the hotel to purchase drinks before the show. The show starts at 8:30pm so I would definitely recommend this as an after dinner activity. read more

Jaw-dropping stunning performance. I left with the initial promise of Christian (one of the hosts) fulfilled: that there will be a point in the show where your mind will be thoroughly blown and the reality of the world you live in will literally melt away. I was impressed with the confidence of his statement at the beginning of the show and did not leave disappointed. It's a husband and wife team who put on this "magic / mind reading" show every Friday and Saturday at The Hilton. Anyone can attend; just purchase tickets in advance. The room where they do the show is decorated well adding to the ambiance of the show; it's quite intimate with seating only for about 40 people, so be sure to get your tickets ahead of time. I'm sure that any adult would be thoroughly entertained and impressed with this show; whether you're an Indy local, out of towner (like we were) or are celebrating a birthday or anniversary. I'm not going to go into the details of the tricks they pulled off as it will spoil the surprises, but I'll just say that throughout the whole 90-minute show (no intermission); there was not a second where boredom entered our mind. We left completely blown away. Find some time and buy a ticket to come here. You will not leave disappointed. Indy is lucky to have Christian and Katalina. Bravo. read more

Great show! I have been wanting to go for a few months but the tickets were sold out or it was not open due to a private event being scheduled. We finally went this weekend, and it was great! We took our 13- and 14-year-old sons, and they really had fun! It's a small group, so every member of the audience gets to participate in some fashion. At first it was a little intimidating because of the small, intimate venue, but once Christian began engaging with the audience, we were immediately at ease. This is definitely one of the coolest things I've gotten to do as a resident of Indianapolis. The audience is very small so be prepared to participate. If you're shy like me hide your name tag and pray they won't choose you! My date and I went through so many emotions during this show and I promise you will too! Several days later we are still talking about how they pulled off what seemed to be impossible. The married duo are hilarious and had me in tears at one point. Funny, colorful, intimate, and some really good psychological magic too. Is Katalina really a mind reader? Without getting to into the show specifics I'll just give a kind of run down of what to expect so you can go and have a great time. -Show is at the Hilton and you check in and get your pass in the lobby. Have to check in by 30 minutes before show starts and they will tell you when to go up to the show. -Show has a no exit policy so if you need a drink you have to bring in one when you go in. The hotel has two restaurants and a gift shop that you can pick something up. It is kind of warm in the room so I suggest bringing something with you. -Lots of crowd participation so be prepared for that. read more

Mind Tripping is a weird name for a magic show, but it makes sense after seeing the act. There are some sleight of hand stuff but it's mostly acts designed around confusion and mental games. With that said, Christian and Katalina have had years to perfect their show and it was reflected with their humor, wit, and ability to deal with challenges posed by an audience-reliant act. They will go out into the audience and choose participants for every act, and while that may be frightening to some, it's handled delicately without embarrassment. There was one sassy lady in the front row during the show I attended, but the magicians never became unhinged. It's easily one of the more enjoyable ways to spend 90 minutes while in Indianapolis. The space is limited, seating maybe 60-70 people max, and the AC is on borderline frosty. Waiting for elevators after the show was annoying, with so many people just standing around. The hotel should do a better job of making more elevators available. read more

The show was very unique. Christian and Katalina have been doing this for 15 years and are nearing their 500th show which makes everything they do appear so natural. Their humor, charisma, energy, and genuine aura of positivity seems to have been with them since birth, but their years of hard work and dedication is what has shaped them into the wonderful performers and individuals that they are. Throughout the mind tripping show Christian and Katalina will take you from laughing uncontrollably to dropping your jaw, in amazement and wonder more times than you can count.
