Talk about a fun evening. This was it. My husband and I along with another couple ordered tickets, not really knowing what to expect. The information that I read said it was in a room at the Hilton on market street Free parking in the garage, have your ticket stamped by the event. (Without free parking it would have cost $40) You meet a very nice, organized representative in the lobby and all go in together. They don't serve drinks or food but it is available and you can take it in The minute the door closes you are in for fun and amazement! Everyone gets involved one way or another without embarrassment. It is the kind of act that could be in Las Vegas. They call it mind boggling with humor. It is. I won't tell you more because I don't want to ruin for you. Take my word you will love it!

Fantastic show! Chris and Catalina are very talented entertainers. They have the best chemistry as spouses and that works to favor their act. The show is funny, clever and will likely bring out the best belly laughs you've had in a while. Catch them if you're in Indianapolis! So much fun - thank you for hosting our group tonight.

This was my second time seeing the show, it's one of my favorite things in Indy! Christian and Katalina are so funny, engaging and talented. Everyone in the audience laughed throughout and was amazed with the show. The show ran about 75 minutes without an intermission which felt like a perfect amount of time. Lots of content but kept us wanting more. We had so much fun!

My sister up on stage with the dynamic duo that makes up "The Mind Tripping Show"!

A must see on your visit to Indy. I had seen the show with a corporate event & when my family came to town for my birthday, they told me what they had planned - The Mind Tripping Show. Though I had seen it before, it was different and I still had an amazing time and laughed very hard. My family was skeptical (I hadn't told them anything about the show) & tried to figure it out - but they had their minds blown! They can't stop talking about it! From ages 28 to 62 - it was a great show. The seating at the Hilton is cozy so you won't miss a thing and may just get called up (my sister did!) to be a part of the show. Note: Doors are closed and locked at showtime (8:30 for us) so be sure to get there early so you don't miss the show!!

I have seen at least eight much, much more expensive magic/comedy-magic shows in Vegas (Penn & Teller, Siegfried & Roy, Copperfield, Lance Burton, Steve Wyrick, Mac King, Mike Hammer, Amazing Jonathan, etc.) and this show is quite comparable to those and, indeed, better than some of those. The chemistry between these two is solid. The magic/illusions are world class. The comedy and improvisation are honed from years and years of practice and shows. These two are pros. The five star reviews here are legit. The $25 per ticket with free parking at the Hilton is so low it's unworthy of such a high quality show.

They have a bar and a few tables you can use, but your tab in that area doesn't apply in the show room. Depending on where you're seated, you could end up pretty close to another table. The last time I was here, we never recieved an entree we ordered - so we figured our server just forgot to ring it in. It turned out fine since we had a couple of appetizers to snack on. I guess it worked out in our favor, as we didn't have to worry about meeting the two item minimum per person! Shoutout to Janelle James (principle from Abbott Elementary) - she was HILARIOUS!

You can sometimes find street parking or something at the Circle Center Mall. The venue doesn't seem new and very well maintained. Some of the chairs are falling apart and it doesn't seem super clean. It is a comedy club though so not exactly there for the ambiance. My first time was to see Comedienne Sarah Sherman, then my first ever Drag Brunch which was Wicked Themed and incredible. Last Sunday I saw the Heated Rivalry Drag Brunch and am strongly considering retuning for Y2K one next month. The service can be hit or miss. The way the food is presented is inconsistent. Sometimes you get mimosa served in a Bud Light bucket other times you get a carafe. I had food served in a plastic container while others had actual plates. The prices for food & drinks are reasonable but there is a 2 item minimum purchase per person in addition to the tickets. I was sad to have missed Michael Che recently but Kevin Smith who directed Mallrats, Clerks, Chasing Amy Dogma, Jay & Silent Bob etc will be there soon. They do get some pretty good talent at Helium. I'll be back to catch another show.

They finally got back to me after a few months to perform an open mic night. I was stoked, and hadn't done a venue this big since pre-COVID. As an Indy native, my parents first date was at Crackers, so it was important to me for the sentimental value to be sharing a stage that had previously contained so many greats. That said, saying management has lost track of their priorities would be an understatement. Specifically Brad Rigler, the manager/self-proclaimed headliner for the night. He kicked me off stage 2 minutes into my set for the "F word" at an Open Mic night. Fair enough, I showed up a few minutes late and didn't read the rules, as I'd done open mics before. And Brad didn't tell me the rules when I asked prior to my set, just where to sit and where my friends can buy tickets. I would have gladly cleaned up my set, but Brad didn't give me or any of the other 4 comics he personally kicked off a chance to adapt. At this point, it was fair. Rules are rules, I understand places have reputations to maintain and cursing is unfortunately used often as a crutch in comedy. Then Brad, again, the manager, made his intentions clear as the closer with 8 minutes of the most uncomfortable set I've ever seen. Making rape/racist jokes to my friends in the audience. He then proceeds to use the F word himself on an audience member's girlfriend after some deserved heckling. The mental gymnastics Brad had to do to justify his behavior is the only noteworthy talent he has, and I applaud him for that. Let me be clear: I don't think there is a "line" in comedy. You're either funny or you're not and the audience will let you know it! That's how we improve our sets. Brad was not funny, and took his weak, sensitive ego out on his prisoners for the night. The silence after his "punch lines" was the loudest silence I've heard in my 7 years of comedy, his transitions were sloppy, and his jokes hacky/recycled. I guess you could say a perverted racist pedophile was not our "cup of tea". We were all uncomfortable and wanted to leave, but couldn't because Brad/management only had one server in an audience of 100+ people. Which would make sense as I think Brad knows people wouldn't stay for his set otherwise. Well done Brad, you clever minx. We were trapped. About 10+ people left during his set because they were lucky enough to be checked out early. We didn't get to order our drinks until halfway through the show. The server, Emma, did the best she could, and she deserves better than this disgrace of an establishment. Brad made sure to make a joke about how he wants to bang his own employee Emma's mom. No wonder no one wants to work here. Me, my friends, and audience members felt robbed. My friends paid for tickets to your club, bought the 2 drink minimum, and came all the way out just to witness an immediate slap in the face to its own comics, employees, and customers. Please reevaluate your priorities Crackers Comedy Club. Give the audience what they want, and not what you want. The disappearing act of all professionalism will very unfortunately keep a lot of Indianapolis from returning. Brad Rigler, I hope you eventually learn your lesson. I hope you realize the hypocrisy and counter-intuitive nature to censoring comedy at a 21+ club. (There were a lot of college kids that weren't getting ID'd, so that's a plus for all you underage comics and comedy fans.) If you are going to hold your "open mic" comics to a higher standard, show character to do the same for yourself. Enjoy this picture of Brad so you know who to avoid. Thank you for nothing and can't wait to take my set somewhere it's appreciated. Hope you change and learn from your mistakes, but not holding my breath, as you are no longer worth my time. Love, Chris Merz

Gutty's Comedy Club is a still fairly new comedy club located in Greenwood, Indiana that features…read moreexclusively clean, family-friendly comedy. The club, which is also alcohol-free, is located in a small retail center area directly next to a Dollar General and directly in front of the Greenwood location of Jockamo's Pizza. I'd wanted to visit Gutty's since they'd opened in Fall 2019, but hadn't really had the opportunity. After being taken down by some health issues in November, I've been mostly homebound since late November/early December. Tonight was my second "public" outing outside of a Christmas Eve service/dinner and some doctor's appointments. I was there to catch Rick Garrett, who is Yelp Elite Rick G. for those who don't know, and who was the headliner for two shows this weekend. I produced a comedy DVD for Rick in 2019. The parking lot is kind of small, though you can find other spots around the building I'd imagine. There's one accessible spot directly between Dollar General and Gutty's. The entryway is level to the ground, while the two-sided glass door is fairly easy to manage. As a wheelchair user, I was easily able to enter. The actual club spice offers a variety of multi-seat tables organized quite nicely. They have 3 public restrooms - each is single-user, though the third of the three is actually designated as accessible. I would imagine someone in a wheelchair could easily sit almost anywhere in the room, though the stage itself is not wheelchair friendly as it has a couple of small steps up to it. Gutty's offers what they call a Gutty Snack Pack for $8 - it includes a slice of Jockamo's Pizza, a bag of chips, and a soft drink (or water). The soft drinks are cans; the water is bottled water. They also had some other small snacky items like candy bars. The concession is open until the show starts - then also briefly after the show. It's refreshing to have a show not interrupted by snacks, servers, etc. Gutty's follows the usual comedy show structure - a host, a guest, a feature, and the headliner. Tonight's show featured Justin Kelly doing an opening set (and performing for the first time in front of family), Kentucky's Rob Wilfong as the featured act (fantastic set), and Yelp Elite Rick G. as the headliner (who is always funny). While you may not immediately think of "clean" comedy as funny, I assure you it can be very funny and most consider it to be more challenging than your usual club comedy. All three were a blast. The Gutty's stage also hosts other entertainment options and is looking to become more involved in the Greenwood entertainment scene. They also offer opportunities for sponsorship and for getting involved (mostly as volunteers). The facility itself has a casual, mostly intimate feeling. The room is still a bit of a work in progress, but I absolutely loved it. Tickets typically run $15 in advance and $20 day of show. So far, they've hosted a variety of comics - I'm particularly interested in a February 7-8 weekend featuring Michael Joiner, a comic turned actor who was featured in The Grace Card. This next weekend, local faves Dave Wilson and Dave Dugan will be making appearances. If you join their "Gutty Club," e-mail or text, you get access to special offers, news on dates, the possibility of winning tickets, and rumor has it maybe even something on your birthday. If you've ever wanted a comedy experience where you can take the entire family, then Gutty's is definitely the answer. While we didn't have kids in the audience tonight, Rick told me a couple of children were present last night and had a blast. This is a growing facility and certainly "local." It's a great place to check out local/regional acts while having a good time and supporting a local business. After my last few weeks of major health issues, I needed some true laughs and definitely got them tonight. I look forward to returning.

I've only had two opportunities to see IndyProv perform - both at this and last year's Laff-A-Thon at Theatre on the Square. So this review is for those performances, and not any of their standard shows (although I won tickets, so I will write an update when I see them perform outside of LaffAThon). They have a great cast of players and it's fun to watch. I have to subtract one star because the comedy can get a little "mature" at times which means that it's not appropriate for all ages and sensibilities. Doesn't bother me, but I did think that it should have been PG at the Laff A Thon since there were some younger children present. It's possible that their normal shows are not all-ages and therefore it's not an issue. However, if you are easily offended, maybe you should skip it ;-) My only other critique is that sometimes the skits seem more funny for the players than for the audience. I think a strong "leader" during the different games would be helpful in steering the skit. These folks worked HARD at the Laff-A-Thon (12 hours of comedy has to be painful!) and I gotta throw out mad props!
