Their backend administration is poorly managed, where clients have to act as a liaison between Mindful, the provider and insurance companies to sort out billing practices they should have ironed out on their end. MIndful called me so that I would call the provider to reach out to them. Does that sound professional if they have a contract directly with the provider?? I can only imagine that level of mismanagement and business communications is a nightmare for their providers, never mind the time I've had to interface with all three parties. Practices could be better executed. My provider, however is very good. No complaints there. Just wish he was with a different group. I'd gladly migrate away from Mindful. read more

I found Mindful Therapy through an internet search; I previously saw another provider and was looking mainly for a therapist to help with past traumatic childhood experiences of having had lost both parents and me attempting to parent without parenting skills. It took more than 17 years to finally decide I should see one and I must say, I wished I'd done it sooner. A part of me felt that I was strong and could get past the stress and sadness - and now to go to therapy and be taught coping mechanisms and how to handle everyday tasks with time management skills, 'reprogramming' past sad vivid memories into 'normal memories,' I realize I could have lived so many years more happily had I gone in sooner. I currently see a provider and a therapist at Mindful Therapy. Both are excellent at communication, providing reminders and sharing their experiences. Once again, the rip off artists at this terrible excuse for a company have struck. Now they say they are going to take another 150 from my daughter because the insurnace changed. We had informed them that we had alerted them. This is after they charge 150 for a no show that was canclled 46 hours in advance instead of 48 hours in advance. Do not use this company. You will end up with more problems than you started with. I am going to the washington state board of medicine about this groupl and even though it is only 150 at this point, we will be going to small claims court over them. Unless you're okay with being charged whenever Mindful Therapy Group wants, I would NOT recommend it. All payments are charged automatically, no matter what you do. Quality of the care itself is fine -- however there is something extremely broken in the billing setup. Mindful Therapy WILL charge your card on file **even if you uncheck** "Authorize this card for automatic charging against any outstanding patient balances". This has happened multiple times. This is a HUGE issue for the vast majority of therapy patients who need to wait for a paycheck to come in before paying for expenses like this. I am appalled that this issue has not been fixed after multiple complaints. read more

I DO NOT RECOMMEND. Proceed with caution. Backstory: I was scheduled to have a session with therapist Crystelle. Unfortunately, several days prior to meeting with her, I came down with COVID for the first time and it threw me for a loop. I cancelled well within 72h of the window of her appointment. This was fine and their front office was responsive. I then showed up for the next appointment and (still under the COVID haze) I was out of it and told Crystelle as much. She asked me why I did not complete the paperwork and told me she would like to reschedule until I completed the paperwork (she didn't want to chat at all--understood, not a problem). The issue was that I was not in the Patient Portal system they set me up in and after several emails back and forth, the Front Office folks reset me and I got in, and completed the paperwork. We rescheduled. Finally I got to my first appointment with her. Crystelle was professional enough, though a bit reserved. That's ok, everyone has their own style. However, I got the sense through our conversation that we would not really "jive". Finding a therapist is all about being comfortable and being able to take advice, right? So the next week, after auditioning more therapists, I went ahead and cancelled with Crystelle, no hard feelings. Our appointment was supposed to be for Thursday at 2pm. I had sent her an email at Wednesday at 4:13pm cancelling service (this is according to her). She immediately sent me a bill for $120 because I didn't send her an email prior to 2pm on Wednesday. Along with the email in the photo below. I am all for paying fees I'm supposed to incur, but with this treatment? I still sent her an email well ahead of our appointment, not a few mere hours--is it really necessary to be so petty? Honestly folks, you can be the judge of this, but go ahead and look at the message--Go ahead and read these other reviews. Settle in, I have more to say than a Brooklyn street rapper trying to make a name for himself at a slam poetry contest. Mindful Therapy Group is a money-grubbing therapy factory box store. Their communication practices might well violate CFPB anti-harassment laws. We'll see, I've already reported my evidence of their excessive "communication" to the CFPB and FCC. I'm not a lawyer by any means, but I wouldn't waste my time with it if I didn't think there was something there that had merit for investigation. At the very least it's predatory. If they're doing it to me, they're doing it to everyone else. I've had a douse of the last 2 months because of this company and people need to know. I've never received more phone calls, texts, and emails from one source. They will CRUSH you with spam. Stalker-level spamming. When things were good with them, it was bad. When things were bad with them, it got worse. Constant reminder texts AND emails of appointments, even more texts AND emails as soon as they bill you. Sure. Let's overstimulate neuro-divergent people. Good business model. You don't get a chance to talk with different therapists and find someone who you resonate with. Ok. But I had no connection in the sessions I had with the guy they stuck me with. He was reading questions to ask me off his phone. Following a guide or script or something. It felt very impersonal. Didn't say much, I would ask him questions and try to get him to relate on a personal level - not even personal questions - and he respond with made-up answers that he admitted to after some follow-up was just parables. I'm asking for your point of view, and how you relate to what we're talking about. You just made up a story and you want me open up? Nope. I decided to find therapy elsewhere. Then I went through and canceled the 47 other weekly appointments they pre-set for me for the rest of the year, one by one. Something I didn't ask them to do. Then I received 47 cancellation/ schedule another appointment text messages. One for each canceled appointment. I only received 2 phone calls that day. The next day saw the start to the 3-5 text messages AND emails AND phone calls, each, about the bill and various other offers to try and get me to set appointments. Ok. We have an HSA account, the card expired this month and we were waiting for the new one to come in. THAT IS NOT ENOUGH TO STOP THE SPAM. You would think I owe the mafia. You would think we just broke and I won't give back their favorite sweater. This is all in a month and a half. I wasn't even late on my bill. That's just how they do things. I'm leaving so much and I'm tired of writing and my ADHD is a thing, so I"m going to go. Avoid Mindful Therapy Group at all costs. And if your doctor refers you to them: get a new doctor. read more

I would love to give Zero! It is all about money so be very clear when you do sign up. Of course in the begging everyone is very nice but now when it does come to billing it is not the same as signing up. Billing states they have called me to notify regarding my insurance, however i do not have no records if i did i would make sure to reach out but then again whoever is seeking their help is in depression not in a great mind state and so seeing $540 taken out of my account which i do not have has put me in negative accumulating daily charges for it. So the moral of this situation is how is your billing work if you contacted a patient once and was not successful as you send text msgs out why there is no text msgs about it, why can't your billing department also send letter notifications? In the future, who ever is signing up for them be very Mindful of your insurance coverage and your copays. I would hate for anyone in the future to be put in my position! read more

Y'all.. This provider LAUGHED at me while I was crying on the phone.... Please read. I had an appointment with Dr. Yunis scheduled for today, July 12th. I had filled out all the required documents and was really looking forward to my appointment since right now I am struggling with my mental health the most I ever have and really need help. Well, the whole experience with this provider and company was a waste of time. It caused me extreme anxiety. They were dismissive, rude, condescending, and they lacked proper communication. I was emailed information regarding my Zoom appointment prior to the day my appointment was scheduled. From working in the medical field and scheduling telehealth appointments myself, I know exactly what to do before an appointment and who to reach out to if I have issues connecting. I had clocked out for lunch at 12:50 PM to be ready for my appointment at 1:00 PM. I took this appointment during my lunch break at work because of how desperate I am to get help. I had specifically mentioned to the intake scheduler that I would be working during this time and that I'd be taking this appointment on my lunch. That should have been noted in the appointment notes so that if there were any changes to the appointment, I could be contacted. That was obviously not communicated at all. At 12:50 PM I logged onto the appointment via the link they sent me. I waited for ten minutes without anyone contacting me. I was waiting for so long that I decided to call them. I called the only phone number listed anywhere and it brought me to a very long menu. After clicking all the buttons that should have sent me to the front desk of the Southcenter location, I was directed to a scheduler..... It was impossible to reach anyone other than a scheduler. I was directed to a scheduler who did not even know who the provider was (WHAT?????) and they told me that the provider I was meeting with was a man. I have a TON of anxiety around male doctors and so I told the scheduler that the provider was supposed to be a woman. This scheduler then continuously called the provider by he/him pronouns which then led me to start panicking more. I kept telling the scheduler that I was panicking and they laughed (this is only one of the two times I was laughed at while on the phone with someone from your company). I then proceeded to tell this scheduler that it's not funny and that I need this provider to be a woman, and the scheduler said they had no idea who the provider was AGAIN and to hold on. They finally confirmed the provider was female and then I got off the phone with them because they were literally the opposite of anything helpful. After the call, I took a screenshot of me still in the waiting room to show any time stamps. At this point it's 1:13 PM. I have not heard anything from anyone and this is supposed to be a 1 hour NEW patient appointment. I then called the ONLY phone number they have for everything AGAIN.... trying to reach the front desk of the Southcenter location and I was directed to A DIFFERENT scheduler. Again, not the person I wanted to contact. I spoke with her and she said that she would try the direct line to the provider. She put me on hold, called the provider, then came back to me and told me about not getting a hold of the provider and mentioned having the providers managers number. I asked her to call that number. I hung up after being on hold for over 5 minutes. Then, at 1:28 PM, I FINALLY got a call from the provider I was supposed to meet with. This is almost THIRTY MINUTES after my appointment was supposed to start. 3.0. Thirty. 30 minutes. Okay, we're all on the same page here. I have been in the Zoom waiting room this entire time. Once I FINALLY got a hold of the provider, again THIRTY minutes after my appointment was supposed to start, I started telling her about my experience. When I told Dr. Yusin about how I started having an anxiety attack when the scheduler mentioned that she was a man, the provider LAUGHED at me. She laughed on the phone with me as I'm in tears. It's really surprising that a mental health professional would laugh at someone sharing their anxiety around seeing male providers. I was obviously very flustered, crying... I just wanted help. I was sitting there LITERALLY anxiously waiting for thirty minutes, then was told information that brought me to panic, and then Dr. Yusin laughed at me. And of course we couldn't even do the appointment because it was now past 1:30 PM. She took nothing seriously, she blamed it on tech issues, she didn't even care to ask for additional information about who I spoke to, didn't care about which phone number led me in circles, she didn't give me an email or direct line to call in case I needed to get ahold of anyone.... I wanted to find a new provider because I felt like the one I was seeing now wasn't serious about the help I need. Dr. Yunis blatantly showed me that she also isn't. read more

I found a therapist I really liked here. But I've been having issues with their billing department. I even had a representative from my insurance on the phone with me to try to get the billing situation fixed. Unfortunately, even with my insurance company on the phone with me, there was a lack of compassion and understanding from the billing department. I did not feel heard and the issue could have been resolved. Because of this, I decided to cancel all therapy sessions and seek therapy else where. read more

This is for all Mindful Therapy locations as it's really all the same company. I waited months to get assigned to a provider. The one I finally got should have their license revoked. They fumbled around the appointment like they had zero medical experience. Kept asking the same questions over and over. Was completely confused. To top it off they REFUSED to write any prescription without their specific lab work requirements. Turns out insurance doesn't cover one and the insurance said they would never cover it under this kind of care. It would have to be an extreme medical condition. Mindful Therapy cost me HUNDREDS of dollars in medical care and they NEVER provided one single thing. Mindful therapy falls back on "Oh, we just contract with these providers so we aren't responsible for anything they do". Don't go here!!!!!!!!!! They should be shut down! read more

This is an incredibly frustrating practice to work with. I inquired about a counselor. Was told that person was full but was recommended an alternative. I attempted via e-mail and phone calls (voicemails) to schedule with the suggested counselor. Didn't receive a call back for days. Finally reach someone live and am told that person is no longer taking clients. I do not recommend going through this practice to take care of your mental health needs. read more

Today is day 5 & mindful therapy and her have not returned numerous emails and phone calls. The pharmacy even reached out to her asking for a refill request. She has not refilled a prescription that is LIFE OR DEATH. She clearly doesn't care if her patient off themselves. This is not the place you want to care for your loved ones who needs mental health support. I'd give zero stars if I could. Bloodshed will be on your hands when you're mentally ill patients can't get their meds YOU SAID YOU WERE REFILLING!!!! How hard is it to refill BOTH medications?!? Save your time, look elsewhere. We waited 2 months to see Raquel Bolender as she was referred by our pediatrician. We're assuming it was because we needed a late evening appointment. (6pm) Which is understandable. Raquel seemed nice and knowledgeable during our visit. She evaluated my daughter and said she could benefit from therapy. However, she wasn't taking any new clients. I was perplexed as to why they failed to communicate this to us from the beginning. It means that we basically would have to start the process again, which is highly incon In response to the office managers comment. I did plenty of research about Raquel. Your website informs that therapy is part of her practice. It reads as follows "While I do prescribe medication, and understand that they can be an integral part of healing, I find that genuine growth comes from introspection and challenging oneself. As such, my sessions are often a mix of medication management (less) and psychotherapy (more). Fundamentally, I believe that by maximizing therapy, one can reduce (sometimes eliminate) the need for medication." Consider updating your website so that it's not misleading. read more

This service provider does not work with you find therapist that takes your insurance (in network). They completely Lied, saying that I agreed to private pay. They did not call me or email me to let me know that the therapist was out of network, instead they just messaged my daughter (who is the patient) in the portal, mind you she is a child and would not know anything about billing. I called them and they agreed to refund me since they lied about it, but then I got another message saying since they messaged my daughter about paying full amount through private pay, they would not refund me. My copay is %20, why in hell would anyone agree to full pay especially for a new therapist? read more

I was really disappointed by this service. I've been sitting on whether I should write a review or not, and I should have looked at these reviews before I scheduled a service, but I was depressed and desperate for help. In the past I'd seen a social worker/therapist for a year and didn't particularly like them, so my primary care doctor recommended Mindful Therapy. (I saw another person's review said their doctor also recommended Mindful Therapy.. not sure why, maybe it's an easy go-to). First, their reception is a bit inconsistent when it comes to appointment making and payment, one session they told me I had a copay credit and did not need to pay, the next time I came in they said I actually owe for the last and current session. Luckily, I kept all my receipts so it did work out correctly, but make sure you ask for a copy of your receipt every time. One morning when I checked in, they forgot they had someone on the phone/on hold for at least 10 minutes as I was checking in, but after reading the reviews for their employment, it seems like they don't treat their staff very nicely either, so I guess I don't blame them for not caring. I picked a therapist based on her description and introduction page and thought it would be a great match, but I wasn't thrilled after the first couple of sessions and should have listened to my gut, not a fan of her style. It was like talking to a mirrored wall, just reiterating what I was saying with no additional advice or substance, (just the "Awww that must be harrrdd *sad pouty face*). I don't know what I was expecting but it seemed like she was more concerned about being liked and wanting a friend dynamic rather than be helpful. also just seems young and inexperienced so maybe she just needs more time/ practice but I'm not here to be a training client. I'm not sure if she is non-confrontational or what, but with her failed attempts to reschedule our sessions without approval or discussion it ultimately felt like she wanted to end our sessions and no longer see me with no explanation (which she has the right to do, it was just done in such a bizarre way, shouldn't you trust your therapist to be open and honest with you?), so I guess it was for the best I didn't waste any more money here. If you genuinely want help because you are feeling lost, depressed, unstable, maybe this is not the place to support you. read more

Talk about a drawn out process and people that don't listen. They asked me to take a 30 minute questionnaire and during therapy, ask me the SAME QUESTIONS! What a joke. The nurse practitioner must have received the memo that I was upset because during our session, she was reviewing my questions. What does that translate to to me? Looks a lot like "well you don't pay me to read about you before the session, so I have to read it during the session.... while I'm being paid". That attitude is the reason I avoid this crap in the first place. I get they are there to make money, but if that is the ONLY reason they get in the business, it isn't reason enough for me to stick around. Do any real doctors exist anymore? I called three times to just get a right appointment with the type of license I preferred, and ended up finding the therapist forms say he won't provide the type of service I'm looking for. The lady who provided sessions to my child was absolutely damaging to her. I ended up listening to a session, post hearing a ridiculous comment. I regret trusting the lady. We would have benefitted more from enlisting the support of teen mentor or our pastor. It is clear that she lacked professional, bedside manner and was not experienced to counsel a minor.. The counselor responded as a person who lacked insight or logic and fostered division. She was paid for sessions that were absent of a theory or plan for treatment. I waited for her to apply insight. My child was actually in a better mood prior to her sessions. The counselor fueled her confusion and anger. We are not Japanese , however I am assured that if she engaged in the slightest bit of reflection, she would be not approve of her child being treated in this manner. Please think twice before allowing your loved one to attend sessions. We have regressed. I apologize to the other counselors at the center, but the damage done warrants a post. When I contacted the center to attain her extension, I had to ask numerous times and stress that she was not accessible by the dial by name. They originally sought to transfer me to her voicemail instead. read more

I see a psychologist at the southcenter location and have been for about 4 months at this point. Finding a therapist was a process, I'll be honest, and I found it helpful to have a third party help triage. However, I was never offered to speak directly with a provider before making an appointment. Usually I like to try having a brief phone call to introduce myself and ask a few questions of them to see if it could be a good fit. I think this option would be useful to offer. Other than that, I have had positive experiences at the office location. It is clean and there is coffee and tea available in the waiting area. The front desk staff are friendly and have been helpful for me I figuring out and navigating insurance fees and copays too. read more
