There are basketball and tennis courts, walking trails and a fishing pond along with many playscape areas. There is a disc golf course also located within the boundaries. I noticed the highland hall which appears to be available for rental along with several pavilions. The grounds were very well maintain. I will be back to check out the disc golf.

Dogs must be on leash, but if you get there early enough, no one is around. I always leash my dog when passers/runners are coming, but it's nice to be able to let her roam a bit when no one is there but us. Nice escape from the city while being in the city.

There are a lot of trees and wooded areas to lose discs in and the course isn't marked very well. If you get here and can't find your way around, there are usually local golfers that can help you. That being said, there are a lot of terrain changes and obstacles to make for a fun game. Even though there isnt a map to look at it's not too difficult to make your way through the course and they are making it easier all the time with new signage. Mitch Park is huge, so when you get to it pull into the West entrance off of Covell. Follow the street to the back left and park in the circle parking by the Kids Playground. From here, 18's basket and Hole 1 teepad is located behind the large pavilion..away from the circle parking. There is a board that will tell you what pin position the course is on and from there you will see how nice the course is. Have fun and ask for help if you need it. There are usually plenty of friendly people out there, most will let you play with them if you ask. There are also a few out of the way benches around the course and away from the walking trails...to get back to nature.

It's a bring your kids to swim in the pool and climb around the playground kind of place. It's a 18-hole disc golf kind of place. It's not a 5-star park. You'll find car tires and concrete in the low flowing creek. You might even catch a draft of El Tapatio's dumpster along the paved trail. But still, the pool is clean, big, and full of fun options, the trail bends along the creek and has little wandering trails that lead off, and that playground is pretty sweet (I'd be pretty happy with that as a kid...or even now). Couch Park, I give you three stars; you are A-OK.

They also have a shop to buy supplies including a shell holder, eye ware, and other things you might need. Only member Monday through Friday. But open to the public on the weekends.

Our spot would always be at pine grove and would go fishing in their crappie pond and were thrilled when they added the new sand beach. Now in 2025, they have made our spot (Pine Grove) where me and many other families have always taken our spring break, fall break and other week vacations at and "annual only site" and closed it off. We thought okay that sucks but we can try out the others sites. We decided to try out Beaver Cove and that has been a MAJOR disappointment. The sites look like they have not been tidied up in who knows how long and their bathrooms are unclean and do not have any soap ever! No decent swimming/fishing areas around it. And ticks everywhere! You would figure if they decided to close off pine grove they would fix up the non-annual spots but no! Seems to be more about the money considering there are more annual spots than non-annual and they are better taken care of. After 11 years of camping here we have decided to look elsewhere to camp. So so so disappointed!!!!

This is a truly awesome gun club with a variety of ranges. We had an OCU Law Pistol Shoot with…read moreinstructors and it was very fun. I think it was held at the small bore range. There are also cool Western-style backdrops you can use with Saloons etc and there are events where you can dress like a cowboy etc. Highly recommended if you want to practice your shooting or for group events!
