There are a lot of trees and wooded areas to lose discs in and the course isn't marked very well. If you get here and can't find your way around, there are usually local golfers that can help you. That being said, there are a lot of terrain changes and obstacles to make for a fun game. Even though there isnt a map to look at it's not too difficult to make your way through the course and they are making it easier all the time with new signage. Mitch Park is huge, so when you get to it pull into the West entrance off of Covell. Follow the street to the back left and park in the circle parking by the Kids Playground. From here, 18's basket and Hole 1 teepad is located behind the large pavilion..away from the circle parking. There is a board that will tell you what pin position the course is on and from there you will see how nice the course is. Have fun and ask for help if you need it. There are usually plenty of friendly people out there, most will let you play with them if you ask. There are also a few out of the way benches around the course and away from the walking trails...to get back to nature.

This is a great park for kids. Moderately OK for walking around or picnicking. Really good for…read morebaseball and skateboarding. There is a huge Jungle Gym , Play Place piece of equipment. It has some ramps so parts of it are handicap accessible. There are not a lot of swings but one of them is handicapped accessible but not a wheelchair swing. Almost every time I come to this park I see homeless people. Only once was there an altercation. But it's enough to make you not want to come in the early morning unless you have a buddy. The bathroom and picnic facility are usually in decent condition.

It's mostly set…read morewith the Highland Park limits but is stretches quite a ways to the east beyond the main park boundary. It's an 18 hole course, free to play and has concrete teeboxes which is quite awesome. From what I could see it is quite wooded which would require some skill. I would say it's more moderate to hard the easy to moderate. The fairways were mowed and the baskets were in great shape. I'll have to give this one a try.

Couch Park (including the north part) has got some nice options, especially for those that like to…read morechill. It's a short walk/jog kind of place. It's a bring your kids to swim in the pool and climb around the playground kind of place. It's a 18-hole disc golf kind of place. It's not a 5-star park. You'll find car tires and concrete in the low flowing creek. You might even catch a draft of El Tapatio's dumpster along the paved trail. But still, the pool is clean, big, and full of fun options, the trail bends along the creek and has little wandering trails that lead off, and that playground is pretty sweet (I'd be pretty happy with that as a kid...or even now). Couch Park, I give you three stars; you are A-OK.

Even presidents that wrestled and four star generals are kept in the hall of fame. $5 for adults and quick tour or all day event is up to you. Rumsfeld was a wrestler? Who knew. Oh look there is that guy from movie Foxcatcher, plus Dan Gable and Cliff Keen. Small and difficult to follow is my reason for a 3. Plus it took me two hours to get here. However there is renovation commencing in Sep '15. I hope it looks better and functions easier in June 2016.

There are kids all over, in all three parts of the pool, running, and climbing through the rails (which I can only keep my kid from doing these things, but I have no control over the others). Anyways, there are kids playing in front of the slide while kids are coming down it just waiting to get knocked in the face, kids all over in the diving area while kids are jumping off the boards. And on top of all that only 1 lifeguard (who is not even paying attention to the kids but instead looking at his Apple Watch) was put out to watch ALL of the children in ALL three areas! This place has honestly gone down the drain and the staff is just plain rude.

I love this course. Its a rather short course and not overly difficult. It isn't a mind-blowing…read moretrack by any means but it has it's advantages. It's quiet, well maintained, quick pace of play, affordable and the staff is friendly. Amenities aren't anything special but everything else makes up for it. I've quickly made Kingfisher my "home" course, and have a hard time choosing to golf anywhere else because I know how pleasurable my quick round will be in Kingfisher.

We love boomer lake! Come out here often during the day when it's not busy. Plenty of sidewalk to…read morerun, and get a 4k in! Boomer has miles of walking/running availability! Dogs must be on leash, but if you get there early enough, no one is around. I always leash my dog when passers/runners are coming, but it's nice to be able to let her roam a bit when no one is there but us. Nice escape from the city while being in the city.
