When I searched for boba tea in the Kent Ohio area Incame across some competitors for my Boba Dollars. Ming's Tea's diverse menu and the fact that they serve ball waffles hooked me. The atmosphere was cool. The walls are covered with handwritten post-it notes and a "wish wall," which gives the shop a creative college-town vibe. It feels fun and full of good energy. I ordered a Peach Boba with blueberry popping balls and enjoyed it while working on my laptop. Before leaving, I grabbed a couple drinks to go: a Pineapple-Mango-Orange with blueberry popping balls and a Honeydew Milk Tea for a friend. All of them were delicious. The staff was friendly. A huge menu means I am looking forward to coming back and trying something new. Ming's worth the stop. read more

I've stopped at Ming's a few times, and I think it's a nice little shop. Lots of good options and they switch out specials frequently, which is nice. Staff is also usually pretty nice and friendly, and it can be a good place to get work done or meet with friends. One note is that their payment reader has trouble with certain cards, which can be annoying. They used to show you the screen so you could know when to tap your card and then you could type in your tip if you wanted to give one, but they haven't been able to do that the last few times I've been in. So transactions take a few tries which is annoying. I also like to tip to round my amount to an even dollar amount, which I can't do when they can't show the screen. Hoping this gets fixed soon. read more

We love Ming's Bubble Tea. The bubble waffles are tasty as well as the teas. We usually get a green tea of some kind and love the Mango boba. Passionfruit is our favorite green tea flavor so far. Pop by this cute little shop on the way to Cleveland. It's cozy with the walls filled of post it notes. Their cup is lovely too. Couldn't help but take both the front and back of the cup. Back to the drink, I was debated between the Sakura rose milk tea and the jasmine green milk tea but ended up choosing the jasmine green milk tea as there's a heart shaped beside it which means it's one of the popular/favorite drink there. Simply wonderful to be able to come back to my old college town and to see a bubble tea place still situated in the same spot since I left. Ming's bubble tea nestled into the corner of the Acme store Plaza and is conveniently in a town where students and families are plenty. We come here pretty often when we are in town and it's kind of nostalgic to see all the artwork that everyone has done over the years pasted on the walls. A few days I done about 8 years ago! Oh the memories! I always get the peach green tea with the strawberry topping. It is my ideal drink for any occasion and any season. Check them out, bring your mask and and keep your distance. I think they're still working out a lot of corks at this place. I asked a couple of questions when ordering and the employee could not answer them. I ordered a green tea with aloe vera unsweetened. When I tasted it it had a ton of sugar in it. My son ordered some thing that was supposed to be sweetened and had no sugar in it lol they graciously replaced mine with an unsweetened drink. I was with my two children they both got an Oreo cookies bubble tea I think it was called. Neither of them liked it that much. Way too many crumbs in it. Upon walking in it smells very good. This facility appears to be quite clean. It's decorated nicely and has a very nice ambience and seating. I will try it again and give an updated review in a couple of weeks after they have trained their health better. read more

I've had very mixed experiences here, but it had been pretty good a few times so I decided to stop by few days ago. They were out of the tea I ordered but didn't tell me until after I had paid, even though when I looked at my emailed receipt after I left, it said the tea was out of stock. The employee at the register asked what I'd like instead, so I chose a different tea that was less expensive than my original order. The employee didn't offer to refund the difference. Then, the employee who was making my tea coughed into it. I never see any employees other than college kids, and it shows. read more

I love coming to Mings. It's become very nostalgic for me recently because I've been going since I started college several years ago. The Ming Dynasty lives on! Ming's Bubble Tea has a cool guy working here, but he often can't handle the volume of people coming in for his excellent drinks. I've only tried them once. The second time, I dragged Amber, Matt, and my girl in here and after waiting 10 mins, he apologized and told us it'd be 10 more before he could whip up drinks for us. There were only about 5 people waiting in front of us, but when one guy is making all those fancy drinks it can really hold things up. Anyway, I'm looking forward to trying this for a second time, but it was a bit of a detour and a big waste of time, so try Ha! 4.5 stars. I never expected a small city like Kent to have such great bubble tea. The place is spacious and they provide plenty of board games in case you wanna stick around for a while. I spent about two hours here and had a ton of fun. You will notice that they have a wishing wall so feel free to write down your wishes/dreams on a post-it note and add it to the wall! I thought this was a creative idea. Now on to the drinks. They come in one size only, which I don't mind. I decided on the fruit garden with lychee jelly, which was very satisfying and quenched my thirst. Everyone in my party enjoyed their drinks as well. I'd like to start off with saying I never leave reviews I decided to pop by this place for the first time and came in during the afternoon rush. I ordered one of the milk teas and waited. The shop was packed and I could tell they were behind. This isn't what bothered me however. What bothered me was hearing them be almost 10 orders behind and watching as 2 of the workers had a full conversation with someone across the counter. I heard the workers mention that they were "in the middle of a rush" and still 2 of the workers spent a lot of time chatting with this other person. I got my drink a full 20 minutes after I entered the shop. I'd like to say that I understand being swamped during a rush, I used to work in the food industry. It's hard work, however, I find it unprofessional and that it reflects poorly to openly have such a long conversation with someone across the counter while you're behind. My drink itself did not have much of a taste to it, which it should have for what I ordered. This was disappointing after waiting 20 minutes. I do not think I will be returning. read more

I used to live in the Kent area and I found this hidden gem in the plaza next to Acme a few years back, now that Their tea is authentic, natural and this establishment is veteran owned. The staff is also very friendly and professional and basically tea connoisseurs, they are very educated in the different types of teas and bobas. The atmosphere is clean and fresh. 4 years ago they had the longest wall in the establishment about a quarter of the way covered in post it notes, that's where customers write down their dreams and aspirations..so cool and really amazing that the owners give their customers a chance to manifest their dreams in that way. Last month I went back to Ming's while visiting Ohio and the entire wall is now almost covered. You never have to worry about the tea being to sweetened or lack there of. They have truly perfected ever batch and they use actual natural tea leaves, they don't use a powder or anything and it shows. Their menu is full of different tea, flavors, and boba pearl flavors. My favorite is the blueberry green tea with kiwi boba. It is very close to downtown so you can grab your tea and spend time exploring Kent. 10/10 recommend. read more
