We currently have a unit and went to check on it. We noticed a rodent problem! I am not Happy at all about this. I should have known after see a large amount of ants back in June inside the unit. Unfortunately I was in a hurry at that time and did not look around. This time it started as soon as we opened the door to a dead rodent and saw some belonging chewed up and destroyed. I am not a big fan of rodents so I locked up the unit and decided we will deal with getting our belongings out ASAP. Super bummed this has happened. read more

So glad we found Mini Max Storage & RV Parking. We had been parking our travel trailer at another local RV storage place for 4 years and were fed up with the dirty, crowded conditions (right next to an auto repair shop that continually parked vehicles so close to our spot we couldn't even park our trailer without having to get some vehicles moved out of the way). Finally we decided to check out Mini Max Storage, and coudn't be happier. The Mini Max facility is much cleaner, has more room for parking and maneuvering, has significantly better security, has a wash pad and dump station, and best of all, has Lori and Rosa there to assist customers. They clearly prioritize customer service at this location, and that is such a difference in these days of sullen counter clerks and grouchy employees. Lori walked us through the signup/rental process step by step, walked out with us to show us the available parking slots, and made sure we felt welcomed and important. We feel very fortunate to have found this facility and to have met Lori and Rosa, and certainly wish we had found them years ago. Can't say enough about them, and this facility. read more

We've kept stuff at Mini Max since 2014. They're reasonably friendly and the facilities seem good. HOWEVER.... Prices rise FAR more than the rate of inflation every year. Every summer we'd get a letter about a rate increase with boilerplate text similar to "Like every business, prices are rising. Thank you for your understanding." I'm sorry, but I DO NOT understand. What expenses do they really have that keep going up that much? They have a couple of people who live on-site (I believe), and they have maintenance costs and property taxes. Other than that, they're literally renting you space. In August 2021, the increase was over 9.75% from the previous year. And just this week we got a letter saying they want to raise the rate AGAIN in February another 10%. We'll be paying almost $200 a month now; in 2016, it was $138 per month. In five years, it's gone up almost 50%. That last increase is the straw that broke the camel's back. We're looking at buying a Tuff Shed for our backyard and getting away from their constant price increases. Even if the shed costs $10,000 (it won't), we'll break even after about 4 years. read more

Upon first reaching out via phone to Lori at the Hollister Mini Max Storage & RV Pro location, we were initially impressed with the personable approach and clarity of information provided by Lori for renting a unit and the welcome invitation to tour the facility. A week later or so, my wife and I made the 1 hour trip to the facility and could not have been more pleased with our experience. Lori greeted us and remembered our phone conversation from a week prior. The office and entire facility are immaculate. Lori explained what we needed to do to reserve the unit, showed us an example of the drive-up storage space we would be renting, pointed out all the security cameras, and let us know the personal touch she provides for added security. As the StoragePro website had issues in making the reservation, even with Lori on the phone with us for the reservation, we then made another trip to secure the rental on-site. Again, Lori took care of everything, explained all the billing and cancellation terms, then allowed us to head back to the unit. Overall, 5/5 stars for Lori. We could not be happier the Hollister location especially pleased that Lori is in charge. read more

I rented a unit for nearly a year while a new home was being constructed for me. I store 90% of my house hold items in the unit. The facility is secure, clean, and has easy egress. Lori is a rock star. She run a tight ship. I vacated my unit today, but if I have further need for a storage unit in the future... Lori will be my first call. We had our 5th wheel trailer stored at Mini Max Storage in Hollister for about 2 1/2 years. In early February, 2019, we were in the area and went to get some things out of it. As we were trying to unlock the door, we discovered someone had gotten inside by using a screwdriver on one of the locks. All doors and drawers inside were opened and some things were not where they were as we left them. Although it appeared everything had been gone through, nothing in the trailer seemed to be missing. As non-smokers we picked up on cigarette smoke, too. Checking the storage areas underneath the rig, we had been wiped out! Our bbq, brand new chairs, all our tools, wheel shocks and a tri-pod stabilizer, brand new water filters (odd, huh?).....gone. It was a horrible feeling! We reported it to the office and they went through the motions of giving us a form to complete, telling us it was the local homeless people and that it was up to us to report it to the Hollister police. Very disappointed at the nonchalant way we were treated. We were devastated! They advertise 24-7 security with cameras and a fenced in property. Well, all the cameras don't work, the fence has holes and the last security check was the day before. Also, as we were thinking about all the little details, we noticed in going through our trailer that none of the alcohol was touched. That seemed odd to us. All the homeless people I have ever seen would have taken the wine and other alcohol we had stored. AND, most of the things taken were for a travel trailer....and some of these things were quite heavy and bulky...why would homeless people take them? No, someone with a car was in there. A week later, we went and picked up our trailer and ended our lease with them. In THAT conversation it came out that Jon suspected it was a guy that stored a trailer next to us but now he was gone. Jon also was fake about how upset he was that our rig was broken into. I swear....if there wasn't a counter between Jon and me, I would have gone after him! And I'm a 62 year old woman! They could care less! These people (Ralphie and Jon) are only there waiting to move to Modesto to be with the rest of their family. They don't want to be there and it's obvious with the half-assed way this site is run. We ended up trading in our homey 2006 5th wheel and upgraded to a beautiful 2018 top-of-the line modern one and are storing it closer to home. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND STORING ANYTHING AT THIS SITE. These people are lazy - have never, ever seen them out and about at the site doing security checks....camera equipment doesn't work and the fences are falling apart. Every Business has there Problems, but when you read hate reviews from Individuals that seem to only give places bad reviews when you look at there profile you really get the picture to where it seems they have problems at just about every business they go to. The character it shows is that maybe its the customer personality that is the problem and not the actual business or workers. This Company has always shown the Customers the help they needed, and just about every customer has tailgated and been stuck behind the gate only to have to bother the Workers to open the gate, and the gate clearly has a sign that says there would be a $50 fee to open the gate, and yet the Managers have never charged any of the Tenants who have broken the rules, and im sure the person who gave the bad recent review has had to be let out before without being charged. That's only among the countless things the Managers have done to help the customers have the best experience possible. PS: To the Lady who posted the recent hate thread, there is a homeless camp right on the other side of the fence, its kinda odd how they set up shop that deep into the river and it just happens to be near a storage place where lots of amenities are at there disposal? Think about it, you say your a 62 year old woman well smarten up and realize that fact before you go accusing and disrespecting innocent parties in the matter, The Managers have always been a great help to myself and countless other customers over and over. read more

I agree, the staff is quite friendly, but never available. Every other month I receive a letter stating that my bill will be increased due to "new landscaping". I haven't seen anything be done to the landscaping. And nothing that justifies a $20 a month rate increase. My unit leaks and has a huge insect problem, of which they have yet to resolve. Also not worth the rate increase. Go elsewhere if possible! read more
