They claimed they called us - which they never. I then called another local cab firm who said that the taxi had already been booked for me and that it had been booked by kendall cars. I asked when it was booked and was told 3 minutes ago. To cut a long story short...kendall cars lied and claimed they had sent a cab and lied and said they had called me when in fact they hadn't even sent a cab and clearly called their partner company when they realised the error and didn't have the decency to apologise but instead called me a liar and hung up on me. At 8:05 they said they're a couple of mins away. They didn't show up until 8:34, by which point I had already left to get a bolt instead as I was supposed to be in work by 8:25. untrustworthy, and quite frankly rude over the phone. They made me late for work, and I work in a school meaning a bunch of kids are missing out on education this morning because of this taxi company.

I tend to use public transport more but these guys have proven themselves to provide a decent service. Anyone living in the Upper Norwood / Crystal Palace area should definately be using them when they need a taxi service. Wow, sounds like am I properly plugging them on here but I thought that someone else could benefit from a reliable taxi service in the area. Being a woman and all makes is so much more difficult for me to just pick a taxi service and be happy with them. Safety is a big thing and these people make me feel safe.

Tramlink is possibly one of the best things about living in south London. In 2000, they converted…read moresome of the existing but derelict railway lines to take trams and today, there are 3 lines running from Wimbledon in the west over to Beckenham, Elmers End and New Addington in the east. All lines pass through the hub of Croydon. I use the service to from my Mitcham stop to Wimbledon and Croydon, which is the fastest public transport service for me to these areas. The trams are generally frequent with the odd hiccup and not too busy though I have to point out that I don't use this at peak times. The stations are well lit and well maintained. I use my Oyster card and so can't comment on the ticket machines. If you use Oyster to pay, do remember to touch in at the stations as there are no barriers. There are nice indicator boards at stations telling you the time and destinations of the next few trains. The trains themselves run quietly and smoothly. The are clear signs on board telling you the next stop. More frequent than the trains and more reliable than the buses.

This is great for a little journey around South London, it's not quite a train, it's a tram! With comfy seats and loads of room, you can even use your Oyster. Every few minutes you'll see the little tram chug by. It's awesome, have I told you how much I love South London yet? Because I do.

This tram stop connects you to East Croydon, West Croydon and even Wimbledon. The Wellesley Tram…read morestop is just outside the Whitgift Centra entrance from Wellesley Road. This tram stop is a great addition to exploring Croydon without having to walk everywhere with your bags of shopping. You can not get to Wimbldon from this stop but take it to East Croydon and switch there. There is no ticket office but you can touch in with your Oyster Card or buy a paper ticket from the machine on the platform.
