I go here with my uncle sometimes, but you must be a member or a guest of a member to play, Each game is not that expensive, in the snooker I know you pay for time on the table rather than time, some guys are there from dawn till dusk. There is usually a full bar in the snooker bar bit that gets really busy at weekends, thats why we don't go then, but I think on the weekends, these spirits do run out really quite quickly.

The bar can get busy at weekends but don't worry if you are after a quiet game of snooker as the two areas are separated and noise from the pub will not put you off that vital shot. The snooker area houses about a dozen snooker tables and prices are quite reasonable. There is on offer a decent selection of beers, wines and spirits. The staff are pleasant and the atmosphere is usualy quite good. It's not huge but it also doesn't get quite as busy as the Wetherspoons nearby which I guess is probably its main competitor. So there's a good chance of getting a seat on a busy night, even if you bring a crowd. WiFi is free (but you have to check in on Facebook) and there's a pool table near the back of the bar. The drinks were cheap, and it was fairly quiet when the night began, so you could get at the bar and order what you wanted. The seating is comfy and plentiful, and there's also a pool table for your pubby entertainment needs. The staff very kindly had allowed us to set up some saucy Hen games, one of which almost resulted in various blindfolded ladies accidentally walking into the gent's toilets (it was like pin the tail on the donkey but different). The staff even took pictures of our enormous group all together, which was very above and beyond the call of duty, so well done nice barmen!!! All in all, twas a quiet wee bar that was a great starting place for the whole evening. Probably not somewhere you'd stay the whole night, but nice enough in an easy to reach location. This pub really takes its poker nights very serious, it's run very professionally and for that…read morereason it's always full to near capacity every week, in addition to that the owner who also has a pub in Hamilton ( just outside Glasgow) runs a bus every Sunday from the cabin to his other pub called the Auld Hoose which is a very big tournament and on average there are 50 or so very serious and keen poker players, and you get the chance to proceed to the local and nationwide games where the good winnings are to be had, but be warned these are focused players of which I count myself one. If poker is not your thing then every Tuesday there is a pub quiz which is fairly well attended not to mention the beer is very good as well, the gantry offers a large selection of fine spirits and beers so there is lots of choice on offer. The cabin used to do great meals but all of a sudden they stopped and to be honest nobody knows why however I think the most money comes via the poker nights moreover if you are playing well on. I swear, Glasgow is getting smaller and smaller every day with all the places I've been discovering out. To be honest, we were only here for drinks and stood up at the bar the whole time, but looking around, there are loads of cozy, modern looking sofas and chairs all around with even more big screen TV's to watch sports on. There were even slot machines scattered about as well. While we were there, my boyfriend took me on a wee tour of the place to show me the golf screens, where there were loads of people having a blast playing a bit of golf. Not really our cup of tea, but I wouldn't pass up the chance to play if it came down to it. The staff were super friendly, and the people came and went in waves. One minute it seemed to be just us, then all of a sudden there were loads of people to the point of being snug up against each other, then once again, it was quiet, etc. That went on all night while we were there. Good music that you could play Metallica and Megadeth all day on:) the price you can pretty much book a table all day for a set price, and you would easily get your money's worth.
