Absolutely ridiculous how often and how long we lose connection, especially for paying $70/month…read more Just yesterday, 9/14/17-9/15/17, it was down at the absolute very least from 6pm to 1am. Just to clarify, I was continually monitoring the connection from 6pm to 1am, so who knows when it actually went down or when it came back. That's an absolute minimum of 7 hours, and sadly that's actually fairly common. I'd easily say we lose out on internet connection for an absolute minimum of 24-36 hours throughout the month, and that's just what we notice. Who knows how much we're actually getting screwed out of every month. I still have all of my gigabit hardware, and I've still done everything possible to determine that it's completely on their end. Of course talking to other customers of theirs, everyone in my area gets horrible service too. I don't even know what else to say that I haven't stated in previous updates. Their service is terrible and doesn't seem to get any better, but they've got the monopoly on the rural market around here so the only real option is to move where there is actually decent internet. *Just a note in case anyone reading doesn't know what I mean by gigabit hardware. It means that all of my networking hardware is fully capable of utilizing gigabit internet, which is 1,000 Mbps.

This all happens on a schedule too; the busy times, over lunch and in the evening, you can expect your internet speed to drop way down and for it to just cut you off periodically. Weekends are the worst. Sometimes it's barely functional all day long. It's often so bad that it's unusable. I upload photos for my work, and during peak times this often becomes impossible. I can't even stream music without it frequently cutting out. Yes, we have called them several times, with technicians coming out at least twice now. It seemed to work alright for a few days, then went back to its old tricks. Most of the time they just tell us it's our router. We do the unplug/replug thing they tell us to, and we tried replacing our router with no effect. Yet they keep telling us that's what's wrong. If it were the router, why does the internet so reliably go bad at certain times of day? We pay probably twice what people in town do, yet the service is terrible. I wish we had internet that was reliable, that just worked.
