This restaurant filled all those cravings. Of the dishes I had (rice paper rolls and Vietnamese pancake) I could not fault any of them. They tasted just like those that I was eating in Vietnam a couple of months ago. Although the restaurant also does Chinese, Mongolian and Thai food, as its name suggests, its specialty is Vietnamese cuisine. The interior of the restaurant isn't the most modern, but for me that's not a problem at all. The place is clean, the staff (who are actually the family who own the restaurant) are lovely, and the food is so reasonably priced! My huge Vietnamese pancake was only $11 - on Glebe Point Road you'd pay between $18-20 for the same thing. And it was delicious! I'll definitely be coming back for more and to sample the rest of their menu!

The grilled Spatchcock came on a bed of couscous, seasoned with mango chutney. The salmon came on a bed of green tea noodles and it was grilled to perfection! The fillet was juicy and it melts in your mouth. The miso flavoured sauce was a great combo too. If I had to pick a flaw, it would be that the noodles are a little too soft. Someone pls tell the chef that he can cook the noodle and immerse them in ice water to make it chewy. The equivalent in Italian cooking is al dente. All in all a great find and we will definitely be back again!

We settled on the whole grilled chicken and pork belly, with a side of polenta. The grilled chicken didn't let us down. It was juicy and full of flavour! The pork belly was a little disappointing, it came out over cooked and tough. All in all, I'd recommend going for the grilled chicken, and pretty much anything that's chargrilled. The other tables seem to enjoy the meat skewers too. I'll check that out next time.

The atmosphere might not be much, but if you've listened to anything I've said, then you'll know you won't be thinking about the atmosphere after your first bite. Silvas also sells a range of salads and rolls, and is particularly famous for its Portuguese BBQ chicken as well (whole chicken $13.50).
