The recepitonist didn't identify herself as Kingsway Medical Clinic on the phone. The receptinist remanind silent on the phone until the patient asked whether she has reached the right number. This was not acceptable. How could the receptionist ask the patient to call half an hour later because she was busy? If the patient had some issues to check with the doctor and the call was delayed, was the receptionist take the responsibility? Dr. Jackson Chu was marvellous. Other than his professionalism, rest of the clinic was running like a business. Some doctor even referred patients to get prescriptions from the drug store next door. Actualy, both the medical clnic and the drug store were connected via a short hallway though with different main doors. No wonder many good doctors working in this cilinic left.

This is a nice place. The good thing is that you get a choice of doctor's to see. Receptionists are generally professional and kind. Dr. Kim Chen is outstanding. He's young and understands modern medicine. Dr. Teri Tien saw me when he was away and she snapped at me; probably because she was super stressed and new at the practice. She left the room as I was talking. Dr. Eddie Wong is a different story. He treats the clinic like an assembly line and is not understanding of patients. + close to Metrotown and all it's pharmacies. + young doctor's leave's this place with room to grow. + kind receptionists + state of the art software. No more paper. - Dr. Wong detracts from the place. - place looks a little run down. - they generally have a time limit on each patient. It can get rushed where the doctor's will shoo you out the door in the middle of talking.

He is very caring and takes his time with each person. I am aware that often you have to wait and sometimes it's a long wait but I plan for this but you know when it's your turn, you will get his full and undivided attention. I never feel rushed with him. I think I'd rather that than a doctor who is on time but feels rushed. I always have a phone call now if I don't need to come to the office because then I can go about my business and just take the call when it comes in.

The MOA's on staff can be a little snappy, but I don't doubt that they have a lot of difficult people to deal with on a daily basis. But other than that, Dr. Leung has always made me feel extremely comfortable and has legitimately listened to my concerns without brushing me off/trying to rush to the next patient. I have always been treated with the utmost respect and been granted referrals when I have asked; or been given a logical explanation if my request was not able to be granted. If anyone is looking for a family practice in the Champlain 'hood, I would highly recommend Dr. Leung and the rest of the staff at Collingwood Medical!

Appointments arevery easy to set up - the receptionist Vicki is friendly and good at fitting you in for an appt. if you're in pain. As for Dr. Fay, he's very professional, patient, and thorough in his approach. He goes through all the family history, prescribes necessary tests and does a great job at diagnosing issues as a step by step process. The appointments are usually on time (maybe 5 mins late on average). And even though they are swamped, you never feel it, when you're in the dostors office, you're the only patient. and I think that's what matters ! The good thing about his location is that there are test labs etc in the same building, and a pharmacy on the ground floor, and the hospital is also just across the street. So its a one stop for all your medical needs :)

I met him for the first time and he seemed like a very kind and compassionate physician. He's a good listener and seemed genuinely concerned about my medical issues. The clinic was opened only for a few weeks, so he and another family physician are seeking new patients. He's young and appears to be a recent medical school grad, which is perfect as I prefer young, driven, and compassionate doctors over older and jaded physicians, which seem like they care about their paycheck than your medical concerns. This clinic is inside of a Pharmasave pharmacy and may be a bit difficult to find. The entrance is on the side of the building adjacent to the parking lot.
